"Holiday Inn Express Findley Lake"
Clean well maintained property, easy on and off access to I-90. Staff very friendly and helpfull, rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Couldn't ask for anything better. Will definely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

great hotel for the price and location. only thing that i would change is that on Hotels.com the description for the standard room it says it would have a king bed but standard room has two queen. which is fine if you have family but just husband and wife need just one bed.
"Fabulous hotel if shopping in Erie"
Travelled with my daughters for shopping in Erie last weekend. The hotel was great and the breakfast amazing. About a 20 min. drive to Peach Street shopping mall. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Eat at Peach Street or area before returning to hotel as not much around it but that was no problem at all. With all highway motels booked in Erie, PA this was the closest available....off in a small town - great if Findley Lake is your destination, not so much if you are on the road heading somewhere else. There are no other choices in the immediate area so this hotel was a welcome sight. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful....there […] is no restaurant within walking distance but menues, directions and delivery service were available for the evening meal. My husband and I spent one night there passing through from MA to IN and the location was the perfect amount of drive we wanted to spend on the road.The satff were exstremely attentive. The room clean and spacious. The breakfast was outstanding. The only thing that keeps us from giviing fives is that it mixes smoking rooms on the same floor as non smoking […] although the first floor is totally non smoking and the bathroom had no was cloths. "Clean and Affordable Place to Stay"
Overall, an excellent hotel. Was not impressed by the continental breakfast. Should consider serving breakfast from 6am to 11am for the early and late risers. For the price, great value, would stay again although not much to do in town. Best to head out to Erie, Pennsylvania to eat out or get shopping done. Great hotel, extremely clean and conveniently located. The walls are somewhat thin, could hear neighbors easily, but otherwise the place is perfect for a weekend getaway.

I would definately recommend this hotel. Everything was sparkling clean and nearly new. The only complaint I had was that the pool was too cold. When we asked about it at the front desk, they claimed to have no control over it. This was a pleasant surprise for Holiday Inn. We picked it because of it's rating and closeness to our destination but it turned out to be just what we wanted. The room was clean and quiet. "Had a relaxing and Wonderful time"
Although the hotel was a little out of the way, it was lovely. GPS helped a bit but make sure you know where you are going. I got lost in the dark which was no fun but found the place anyway. If you are traveling at night, make sure you find a landmark. The person at the hotel service desk tried helping but could not get us there until we gave her […] a landmark. Took my daughter to Lucille Balls 100th Birthday Celebration in Hamestown,NY. This hotel was the closest room I could get. Staff was great, breakfasts were AMAZING, rooms were clean. all in all it was a terrific time.

"Watch out for cancellation policy"
The quality of the hotel was fine.....but the cancellation policy stinks! I booked a Friday night and a Sunday night at the same hotel, anticipating returning the same route we followed on our outbound trip. "Good clean stay at reasonable rate"
I stayed in a King Exec Suite so I could have a fridge in the room. The room was clean, staff was friendly, no smoking room did not smell of smoke. The free breakfast was very good - bacon eggs bagels yogart juice and coffee to mention some. We stayed here while visiting Chautaugua Instutuion and Erie Beach. "Nice resting place - in the middle of nowhere"
This hotel was very nice and the staff were pleasant. It had everything we needed and appeared to be new. The only drawback was there was literally nothing else at this exit. No gas stations, no restaurants, nothing. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. And the irony of that is about a mile west, there is a swamp right along the interstate, that […] on the evening of our stay had an eary fog hanging over it. "Leave this Holiday Inn out"
My wife and I frequently stay at Holiday Inns but we found that this property had a number of flaws: The area has the smell of a pig farm. Some floors have smoking and non-smoking rooms which makes it unpleasant to non-smokers both in the hallways and in your own room. The hotel reception staff didn't act on our request for a change of room to a non-smoking […] floor even though we asked for it early in the evening for the next day. "Findley Lake"
I was very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Findley Lake. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, even the outside and pool area. The staff very accomodating and extremely friendly. I would definalety recommend this hotel to a friend and plan on staying there again on our next visit up north.
"MIDDLE OF NOWHERE"
If your looking for a hotel that has NOTHING around this is the place for you. Dont get me wrong this is a very nice HOTEL but there is nothing around it. The resturant on site has closed so you have to drive to a nearby town to eat, get fuel, anything. About 15 mins to Erie PA. Good breakfast served and the staff was attentive.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was being but near the "wing" of the smokers. When mentioned later...they asked if it was a problem, but we had already settled in so I said it's fine. (However when you put the vent on in the bathroom you had the smoke smells coming from the other room.) Not many places to eat nearby, no name […] brand or fastfoods. Enjoyed our stay. We came to experience The Lake Erie Wine Trail for our anniversary weekend and had a wonderful time. Only complaint is that the hallway outside our room always smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room was next to the housekeepers room so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. "Very clean, great value"
Pros: Clean rooms Properly stocked with supplies Clean rugs Great breakfast buffet! Great value when you add the breakfast buffet, very reasonably priced if you don't for the quality of room. Very friendly service. Cons: Slightly out of way of Main 90 highway, but for quality willing to overlook.
"Overnight Stay En Route"
Picked hotel based upon price and location for our car drive route. Checked in late (around 10:00 p.m.) and left by 9:00 a.m. next morning. Check in staff could not have been nicer. Room was clean and we had a good sleep and were well rested for the next day's long drive. Amenities were standard for this type of hotel.

"Great service, very clean"
Stayed in this hotel because we were skiing for the weekend at Peak n Peak, and wanted to stay in a cheap, convenient place. Was a short 10 minute drive to the ski slopes and conveniently close to the highway. Hotel staff was very nice and prompt. Hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. Would stay again.

Hotel is clean, rooms were clean and very comfortable beds..Shower was wonderful..Breakfast in the morning is free and very fresh and tasty..Findley Lake is a cute town to visit, nice gift shops and wine store.
Very quiet area, but only about a half hour away from Erie, PA. Wish we could have stayed and explored the area before we had to leave. Lots of vineyards and a fall town festival that weekend we were there.

Great hotel, clean, awesome breakfast! Thought was a good deal with all the amenities offered. With 3 kids on an overnight trip was a great pick for our plans.

The only two negatives were the noisy guests in the room next door that partied for most of the night, but you can't really blame the hotel much for that one and the lack of channels on the television. "Lovely hotel in a beautiful area"
This hotel is just a tiny bit off the beaten path (but really it's right off Rt.86) but you are rewarded for getting off Rt.90 by the beautiful views and the peace night sky. We stayed there on the night of a full moon. The moonlight streaming in through the window was gorgeous. Note to the previous review, which complained about not being able to close […] the curtains fully: There's a heavy-duty curtain right behind the sheer ones. You just have to look behind it, and you can close it and close out the morning sun. No worries. The breakfast was nice, the pool area is beautiful, and there is a basketball hoop in the back, plus a sandbox and picnic table for younger guests. A really nice hotel that exceeded our expectations.
