Marconfort Griego Hotel Torremolinos

L'arredo della camera era vecchio e decadente, ma la cosa importante sono stati i letti e i cuscini particolarmente inconvenienti, scomodi, inappropriati e provocanti di dolori vari. L'aria condizionata della camera funzionava ma non c'era modo di regolarla. La pulizia della camera era pressochè nulla in quanto il rifacimento del letto era giusto […] una farsa (tiravano semplicemente su le lenzuola!) e il bagno non veniva pulito adeguatamente. L'aria in ogni spazio dell'hotel era pestilente; questo dovuto al fatto che si trattava di ambienti mai arieggiati in piena stagione estiva! Solo 2 ascensori per 10 piani di camere.. attese estenunati! Impossibile andare in piscina! Dovevi accappararti un lettino alle 8 di mattina.. più tardi era inpensabile trovare uno spazio per la giornata! Buffet: la fascia oraria era ridotta (18,30-21.30!) facendo si che o si cenava ad un orario presto (7.30/8) o se si arrivava alle 9 e toccava fare prima la fila per entrare nella sala da pranzo e poi la guerra per prendere del cibo: assurdo! Un Hotel con un giusto rapporto qualità-prezzo. Comodo per il centro della città ma più distante dal mare. La piscina è troppo piccola e gli ascensori sono pochi per un hotel così grande (ero al 10^ piano). Il personale è cortese e sempre a disposizione. Ideale per una vacanza breve e per chi ha poche esigenze.

The hotel is a fair walk from the beach and outside of the main tourist streets. The complimentary bus to the beach was appreciated. The hotel itself is fine, though is too large for its shared facilities. This means the pool, bar and restaurant areas are very busy. To get a sunbed at the pool you have to be ready by 8.30am and to get a table on the […] bar terrace you have to be very patient!! That said the all inclusive bar was very good, as was the food and service. The hotel is showing its age in places and whist the rooms were serviced each day, I have seen better cleaning. This is a Spanish Hotel for Spanish families with loads of kids. If you are an English couple with no children do not go here, if you are an English couple with very young chidren think long and hard. The food for all inclusive guests is very good and I cannot fault that, the room was ok too but although this is a big hotel the pool is tiny and there […] is nowhere to escape the children, not even an adults only bar. All inclusive for 6 nights at Griego Mar...easiest holiday ever! Train from Malaga Airport T3 is very cheap (less than €1.50 each!) and only 5-10mins into centre of Torremolinos - 5 minute walk to hotel - stress free, no need for taxi or bus transfers :) Hotel is very clean, rooms are functional but absolutely fine, air con was a bit noisy but at least […] it worked! Drinks...other than the wine which is absolutely abysmal, the cocktails went down a treat, as did the Cruzcampo :) Food - no complaints whatsoever - always freshly prepared and a very large and wide choice - very impressed. Restaurant can be a bit of a bustle at times - best to time your meals to the earlier end of the sittings. Some bar and reception staff were a bit 'manana' in attitude but others couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Can be very crowded around the pool but always managed to find space on the smaller terraced area - which was always bathed in sun! Didn't really bother with the evening's entertainment so can't really comment much on that...though it is loud...we ended up sitting outside at the front of the bar at reception which was nice and quiet. :) Good mix of folks, young and old(er) - very family oriented and no loud stag/hen parties etc. Very pleased to find the town is not an 'Ibiza' or 'Magaluf' kinda place - all very relaxed. Stayed for a week from 2nd - 9th June First 3 days were excellent with immediate service at the bars and no queuing for food in the restaurant. There was also no need to get up early to secure a sunbed however parasols were in limited supply. On day 4 there was a huge influx of new holiday makers (mainly Spanish) which it would appear pretty much maxed […] out the hotel Queing at the bars and restaurants became a regular occurrance although credit has to be given to the very efficient staff as you never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for service The situation with the sunbeds did get a little more challenging with most of the beds being reserved at 8am despite hotel rules stating that beds couldn't be reserved until 9:00am! All in all I had a great stay at this hotel. One word of warning dont use google maps or you ll end up taking an hour to arrive. I arrived from torremolinos train station and eventually found a direct walking route, about 7 minutes from the station. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful, always smiling and the food was great. I stayed all inclusive […] and drinks were nice, only the cocktails were made cheaply, but for free you dont mind that. The hotel has English, French and Spanish visitors. The pool can be a bit noisy and mad, luckily my room was at the front with a balcony that looked to the side. Drinks are served free for all inclusive until midnight so I usually returned there before heading to clubs. I loved the hotel, in a safe environment but a word of warning about Torremolinos centre, I heard stories of people theiving in the city and I myself was subjected to a mobile phone theft from Romanian wanderers in the La Noglera area. They approached me when drunk in La Noglera area and chatted and done this funny football dance where they knee up your back leg, they are actually trying to empty your pockets. I also heard that it is common place in that area. However the hotel vicinity is a safe environment. The hotel is more family orientated rather than for singles but a wonderful stay and food is excellent. Well done folks at Marconi you really made my trip affordable and nice. Continua a leggere

The hotel is average for a 3-star hotel. The room is ok but there is no fridge, no facility for making a cup of tea and the TV is far too small for the room. A safety box is there but you need to pay to use it. The lifts are very slow. The worst thing was the entertainment held in the hotel podium next to a pool where singing and dancing etc were held […] every night until midnight!. The Hotel Greigo Mar was overcrowded , food was awful, cold & repetitive.The pool was overcrowded with early morning waiting game to see if you can find space for your sun lounger. Beds were hard & place very noisy throughout the night with conversations from the next room clearly audible. My worse hotel experience

I had a wonderful time in this hotel. I visited spain for the first time and decided to stay at this hotel with my sister. its not a 100percent perfect but i enjoyed my stay here. the room was not as spanky clean as i would have expected and for some strange reason they refused to add more soaps until the day we were leaving the hotel. i didnt let that […] deter me. the breakfast to me was simply wonderful i must add. i wished i paid a little bit extra at the time of paying online (to cover for half board). Because by the time we arrived and enquired, we were informed it will cost far more than what i could have paid for online. it didnt make much sense economically so we ate out everyother evening. the hotel is very close to the train station less than 10minutes walk , close to the center of torremolinos with lots of bars and eatries and you can even walk to the beach. Quite a little distance but once you get over the initial cab business like we did and get used to the cheerful little town you can walk to the beach. All in all a wonderful experience. if i ever go to torremolinos again i'd be at this hotel and have no regrets whatsoever.... nb. staff at the reception speak good english and will help with direction. at the time i stayed bus to the beach from the hotel free too at diffrent times and there to collect from the beach too. good stuff... I stayed for 4 nights with breakfast. The Hotel was good and the room clean. The breakfast was average with the usual buffet style that is so common. Though I would wish these people wouldn't assume that us English like to eat greasy eggs and beans. It was a good base to be while travelling around to Malaga and Fuengilera - all easy to get to by train […] from Torremolinos. It's not a hotel I would go to for the so called entertainment. There seemed to be a lot of old people there and the entertainment was geared towards them. The hotel bar was good with drinks reasonably priced and there was wi-fi access. Deras låssystem för rum var med elektroniskt kort, Dörren öppnas med insättning av kortet, grön lampa skall lysa, dra ut kort-öppna dörr. När jag anlände den 22 sept vid 19-tiden var jag tvungen att ca 1,5 timme springa fram och tillbaka mellan mitt rum och reception därför att det kort jag fick fungerade ej. Eftersom 3st 8-våningshus var kringbyggda […] receptionen tog även min förflyttning med hiss en stor del av detta onödiga springandet. Bytte kort, samma springrunda igen. Ingen personal följde med mig utan jag fick göra detta själv. Detta kortkrångel hände även några enskilda gånger ytterligare de andra 2 dagarna. Även andra gäster hade samma problem och ärende till receptionen då jag väntade på min tur. Jag anser att ett så stort hotell med kanske 1000 gäster på gång, bör-skall ha ett fungerande lås- och öppningssystem för dörrar. personnel tres sympa et professionnel mais une seule piscine pour un hotel a 8 etages et autant de chambres pas de petit bassin pour les enfants pas de tobbogan pour s amuser les gens laissent trainer leur gobelets leurs restes de pizza tout autour unique bassin pour tout le monde donc tres peu de places pour les chaises longures a moins de se lever […] de bonne heure des 7h00 pour poser sa serviette et ses affaires. Par contre l emplacement n est pas mal on trouve dans les parrages pharmacie super mercado resto asiatiques si on aime et surtout a 5 minutes la fameuse calle san miguel une grande rue pietonne ou on peu flanner boire manger et faire des petits achats souvenirs juste avant sur la place costa del sol quelques grandes enseignes j ai adore aller a la plage en traversant cette rue san miguel les plages sont tres bien entretenues a tous les niveaux par contre l eau etait assez froide meme le 24 aout : derniere chose sur l hotel la salle de restaurant est assez petite par rapport a la capacite de l hotel et on y fait meme la queue pour y entrer il y avait toujours une personne a l entree pour crier au collegue le nombre de personnes pour trouver une table dispo et puis le choix des plats etait juste correct mais sans plus ! hotel sympa dans l ensemble avons passe un bon sejour et prix interessant la prochaine fois nous prendrons all inclusive Continua a leggere

Hitusen vaatimaton hotelli, mutta ajoi asiansa. All inclusive paketti oli kohtuullinen ja hintalaatusuhde oli hyvä. Mitään suuria makunautintoja ei tullut ruoan osalta. Perusruokaa ja osittain jopa ihan laadukastakin.

Vi havde en rigtig god oplevelse af hotellet, alle var meget flinke og ville gerne hjælpe, et lille minus var at der er meget lydt og at der var højrøstede gæster så vi fik ikke sovet så meget de første 2 dage, men tænker at sådan er det at være på hotel. Hotellin sijainti loistava. Kylpyhuoneen piti olla täydellinen kuitenkin hiustenkuivaaja puuttui- iso miinus. Valintamme yksi perusta oli kuntosali, joka oli aivan järkyttävä. Lähes kaikki laitteet oli epäkunnossa. Kerroin asiasta respaan, jossa ilmoittivat, että lapset ovat hajoittaneet laitteet. Kannattaisi ottaa kuntosli pois hotellin varustus esittelystä […] tai laittaa se kuntoon. Ilmoitin puutteista ekana lomapäivänä, kuutena päivänä ei ainakaan tapahtunut mitään. Aamiainen oli hyvä. Huoneen lattioita tuskin siivottiin matkamme aikana(sängyn alla paljon pölyä). WC:n ja suihkun kanssa välillä ongelmia. Ei hiustenkuivainta. Käytävätilat nuhjuiset. Aaamiaisella ei ollenkaan vihanneksia, kylläkin hedelmiä oli.

Hotellissa ilmeiseti kaksi puolta. Uusi puoli on selkeästi vanhaa parempi. Jouduin yöpymään vanhalla puolella ja niin kutsuttua ilmastointia ei ollut, mikä löytyi uudelta puolelta.

Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla ruoka oli todella hyvää ja kattava valikoima erilaisia herkkuja oli tarjolla joka päivä. Ilmastointi ei ollut päällä kertaakaan viikon aikana siitä miinusta (Hoteliissa on ns keskusilmastointi järjestelmä mitä käytetään henkilökunnan mielen mukaan ja sitä ei voi huoneistokohtaisesti säätää) Uimaallas on ihan liian pieni […] ja aurinkotuolit varataan jo ennen aamupalaa joten kävelimme joka päivä rannalle mielummin. Espanjalaiset lomailijat käytäytyivät epäsiististi ja meluisasti all inclusive tarjoiluineen ja usein kertakäyttömukit lentelivät pitkin allas aluetta. Mutta kokonaisuudessaan todella hyvä loma ja hotellin palvelut pelasivat erinoimaisesti. Suosittelemme varsinkin nuorille tätä hotellia jos ei ole melun arka tai on ns bilehile tyyppiä itse niin todella hyvä ja edullinen valinta. Continua a leggere
