Posizione comodissima, a piedi si raggiunge la via proncipale e in poco tempo si ha tutto a portata di mano! Camere pulite enormi e ordinate!

I booked what was the smallest room at the River Hotel, that came at a very good price for Chicago's standards. Lean and straightforward hotel, fantastic location - free wifi and chilled water. It was small by american standards, but not for European or Japanese standards. Highly recommended hotel -

ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ci aspettavamo peggio,da tipico ostello e invece ci ha davvero stupiti! Noi,2 ragazzi di 21 e 25 anni a Chicago x divertimento x4giorni siamo super soddisfatti. a 5 minuti dalla metro centrale,staff veramente disponibile e pronto ad aiutarti,colazione sufficente (forse orario un pò troppo mattutino xki è in vacanza,fino alle 9e30..),pulizia buona,qualche pecca nella stanza come porta rumorosa al momento della chiusura e prese elettriche facili da raggiungere maggiormente dal letto inferiore del letto a castello. Ma in ogni caso soddisfatti al 100% , lo consiglierei ! Grazie

We stayed in the standard room which was large, elegant and well maintained. At first however we were given a room which the view of an opposite building so we asked to change and we were then moved to a room on a higher floor which had a much better view. "Fantastic Hotel"
One of the best designed rooms I have stayed in - spacious, comfortable, and tons of thoughtful design elements that make staying in a hotel room pleasant (i.e. large bench for luggage, small dressing area outside of the bathroom with drawers, good sized desk with pull out shelf to accomodate work material, full sized sofa you can actually stretch out […] on). The service was second to none. Here are some examples: (1) the concierge obtained tickets to the aquarium so that we did not have to stand in line in 30 degree weather (the line looked to be about an hour long); (2) the front desk booked us at a the time and place requested for dinner; and (3) the doorman paid in cash for a cab cash when the credit card machine wouldn't work (we repaid him). The big thing here is that they offer to do these little things, you don't have to ask. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in the US (the other being the Montage Laguna Beach). Continua a leggere

I have stayed at many Peninsula Hotels, in my opinion one of the top three premier hotel groups in the world. This property in Chicago is exceptional in every way with meticulous attention to details of the rooms, the service, front desk and restaurants. Their Lobby Cafe, in most hotels an afterthought, is superb in the quality of food and service. […] They have a new pastry chef whose creations you should not miss. My second stay at the Peninsula was even better than the first. I was in Chicago for a pleasure trip and the Peninsula was a bonus. The room spacious. The bed comfortable. Loved the hand written card and fruit and nuts that welcomed me back. I asked for suggestions for a Chinese restaurant and a hand delivered menu was delivered in a sealed envelope. "Fantastic Service and Lodging in Chicago"
Outstanding weekend at this lovely hotel. Everything is absolutely top notch and it almost makes you feel every penny of the lofty room rate is worth it. Every detail is considered in the room design, service is absolutely top notch.
"Peninsula Chicago, Fantastic Food, but..."
Stayed for 2 nites for my husbands birthday. Concierge recommended great restaurant for dinner, Chicago Cut. Had a wonderful meal. Returned to room and special dessert was waiting with happy birthday on plate. Turn down service left 1 bottle water and 1 glass for the 2 of us. Next day called an hour before we had to leave, to have a shirt ironed for […] myself and husband. After 45 min we called to see where they were and they had put them in for laundering instead. Since there was no iron in the room, we had to wear a wrinkled clothes out instead. Left at 9:30am returned at 4:00pm, room wasn't cleaned. Had to call for service. Went down for tea service. Was sat at dirty table. There were plenty of clean tables. Sat for 10 min., waiter took my order and came back with tea. Had to ask to have table wiped down and set. Food we ordered was fantastic, spicy tuna roll topped with lobster, assorted scones, and tea sandwiches. Turn down service arrived as we were leaving room that night. When we returned still only 1 bottle of water and 1 glass. Overall hotel was beautiful, room was lovely, but for the price, I was disappointed with the service. "Not what I expected"
The Peninsula is a five star hotel and I expected more. The service was okay but nothing exceptional. Some of the furnishings in our room were a bit worn. We had laughably bad service when we had breakfast at the bistro. I went to the desk to let them know. The employee took our name and room number but we never heard from anyone. The public spaces […] in the Peninsula are absolutely gorgeous and the location is perfect. "Great Hotel"
This is a beautiful hotel, very clean and luxurious. Overall a nice experience, but they called up to our room at 5am and then hung up. I think it was an accidental wake up call to the wrong room. We wanted to sleep late but then were up for the day after that.

Not bad, but not as nice as I thought a 5-star would be. Room was nice and bed was comfy, but they need to graduate to HD on the TV. Desk chair very bad--not optimized to make the desk easy to work at. Free internet was great, though in-room fax is a little dated. Service was just OK. "Peninsula in Chicago - Prime location and service"
The hotel was conveniently located by Mag Mile. Service was first class and the staff were very accomodating to our baby. We felt very comfortable staying at the hotel with our 6 month old baby. Had a great time!

"Highly recommend"
It's difficult to find anything bad to say about any Peninsula and the Chicago version is no exception. It's a 5-star experience through and through and though not the cheapest, it's a wonderful experience. Even the smaller rooms are wonderful and the technology involved is top-notch. To be able to walk in the room, drop my iPhone in the dock and start […] playing music through the hutch speakers without doing much more than hitting the power button is excellent. Rooms are large and well appointed and I wish I had a bathroom like that in my own home. The only complications we had were the room not being ready at the quoted 3 PM check-in time (got it about 45 min later) and then the staff forgot to bring up our held luggage once we got the room, so we had to call down. That said, they were very busy this weekend (Memorial day)...staff is top notch and on their game and these kinds of things happen at any hotel...they were very apologetic. I didn't use the spa but it was gorgeous and my fiancé had a wonderful time. Staff was courteous and appointments are 5-star. It is a favorite spa location for many locals as well as travelers. Overall, it's a splurge for most but if you have the means, I highly recommend and can't wait to stay there again. Continua a leggere

hotel is awesome, room service is perfect, of course, very pricey, but we should expect this from a REAL 5 stars hotel....waiters are a bit too eager to sell you one or two USD 11 extra bottles of water, but meal is delicious...problem is the indoor pool - reason why i took my family 20 miles from home for a weekend 5 stars getaway - was not working, […] and no one cared to inform us in advance...also hotel took some extra money from my debit card and took a few days t credit it back... "Spectacular"
Can't say enough good things about the Peninsula Chicago. Our room was perfect and we had a beautiful view of Michigan Ave. Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice and several knew us by name, which I was impressed with since we were there only three nights.

This place rates as one of the nicest hotels in Chicago. The restaurants are very good and the staff friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.

"Too expensive"
The Peninsula is an older hotel that is much more expensive than other 5-star hotels in the area. It combines a classic and Oriental style. The service is very good, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The tub and shower were luxurious. For the price, I was surprised that they have older Sony Trinitron CRT TV's in the room.

"You Get What You Pay For"
The Peninsula Chicago is a top notch hotel and you pay top notch prices to stay there. I would recommend it to anyone who will take full advantage of the spa and other facilities. The location just off the Miracle Mile makes it convenient to shopping and numerous restaurants.

When we booked, the Peninsula was rated as a five star hotel. Our experience there showed us exactly why the hotel has received that rating. If ever a hotel deserved five stars, the Peninsula in Chicago does. Absolutely marvelous.
