El Cortez Hotel and Casino Las Vegas

L'hotel è un vecchio albergo anni 60 mai ristrutturato un tempo molto bello, la clientela è principalmente composta da anziani giocatori d'azzardo. Da non fumatori abbiamo sofferto molto della posizione della camera che si trovava al piano superiore al casino. In camera c'era continuamente un forte odore di sigarette che arrivava dal casino sotto, le […] porte nei corridoi era continuamente spalancata e la finestra di camera sigillata. Alla fine del ns. soggiorno abbiamo dovuto portare tutto in lavanderia. Persino il pigiama era impregnato di fumo. Camera tuttavia carina e pulita. Hotel e casino in genere molto decadente, personale anzianotto. Ottima zona sulla Freemont, la 2a via principale di Las Vegas. Bus che passa a 50 mt. dall'hotel per la Strip. Possibilità di mangiare e divertirsi tutta la notte rimanendo nella galleria interattiva anche senza spostarsi necessariamente sulla strip. Continua a leggere

Hotel was very old, but clean. Sheets were threadbare and beds lumpy. Staff was compentent but seemed unhappy, did not give off a good vibe.

The cabanas are very nice. Retro and hip. Hands down, the best option downtown for folks who like their privacy and a nice room. It also was very quiet. Who would have thought "El Cortez" would have such an option?

I loved everything about the El Cortez Junior Cabana Suite the new side i just didnt like that you have to go to the first floor for ice. It should b an ice machine on every floor .

I had a good time but the pictures on the internet was not what they where when I got there. We did have trouble with the room key. I might stay there again but not sure.

For starters, the hotel is a smoke cloud. No swimming pool available. Room service was probably tied for bottom 3 in my traveling career. Playing tables were limited. Solicitors walking throughout the casino. I must say though, the food and service in the Cafe was great! The valet guys were prompt and professional. OH...and, if you have a large party […] and you have rooms on different floors, you cant visit them because in order for you to use the elevator you need to use your room key and it will only permit the ride to the appropriate floor. We stayed there before, but had a Cabana room. They are great, but small. Had no complaints. This time we stayed in a vintage room. What a great surprise. I was a little leary after reading the reviews. Yes, we did have to walk up a flight of stairs, but it was only once up and once down with a suitcase. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Hotel was old but clean. The towels were like floor mats from another life. It was real nice to be able to walk to Freemont Street.. The cocktail waitresses in the casino were VERY slow in supplying drinks. All in all I would get another room there.

We loved the hotel. We stayed in the Cabana Suites. The room & shower were amazing!!! It was a little ways from the strip. However, there is a bus stop very close & the buses run 24 hours a day. The Downtown Freemont Experience was very nice as well. We would book again!

It was a fun stay-cation. We are locals who love to stay at the old hotels. Fun Keno! Only wish they had a pool.

Fantastic room for the price, private, classy and convenient. Room not 100 percent clean as in past - found long hair on bathroom sink counter and bobby pin on the floor, very dusty light fixtures on wall above headboard. Other than that, very pleased. Staff friendly and courteous.

We stayed in a vintage room, it was clean. The bathroom has zero counter space, which for me turned out to be a little difficult. The first night we realized we were facing Fremont street, so the second night we bought earplugs. The staff at the hotel were very nice. You cant beat the price. I would stay here again.

Of course it is not Bellaggio or Whynn but if are not staying 24 hours in the room you will be satisfied. If you instead are searching for a hotel with a lot of fancy pancy or you like to impress your girl friend you should open your money bag and go to Encore hotel. I was staying 6 days in the hotel and I can not say anything negative. It is clean […] and a small gym is included. The bus to the strip is leaving across the street every 15 minutes 24/7. The room was great and the customer service was exceptional. I hate the fact that wi-fi is not included in the price of the hotel and at $11.99 per day it's a ridiculous price to pay especially when you are on business and NEED internet access. The main parking garage was being cleaned and re striped so it was inconvenient to park in the ancillary garage, […] but not a huge deal. I would stay again. Continua a leggere

I was very unhappy when we got to the hotel after driving in traffic that took us 6hours rather than the normal 3/12 to 4 hours to get there. And when we get there the rooms I wanted was not available. I had asked for two rooms with two beds and one of the rooms had to be handicap. They over looked that on the reservation. And basicly they said it was […] my fault I should have called them to remind them weeks ago. And it took us two more hours just to find a room there. they but us in two rooms with only one bed and we had to get up the next morning to be move to two more rooms so we could not even sleep in from the rough night we had the day before.It was not a good weekend that we had in mind and we booked 6 month earlier it really sucks that they put that on me and they had the information if front of them. The stay ws not the best. When I checked in they clerks told me "They had no more suites available!" I told them I had booked in Febraury and that they need to find a room for me. Another clerk came and bumped someone from there room to give me a suite. It should have been reserved so that would not have to happen especially since it was paid for in […] advance. The Cortez Junior Suite was beautiful. Had one issue with the toilet which took an hour and an half for someone to fix it. I called three times before they finally arrived which delayed an appointment I had. I was there for a Dance Competition. Many of my clients stayed at your main facility and were very displeased with the following: Some had bed bugs in there rooms and had to be relocated. One client smelled a controlled substance all night and had a room that smelled like mildew. Another checked out because of the conditition of the room. Customer service could have been better as well. I would only stay again if the Junior Cabana Suite Room was available or the Deluxe Suites because that was the nicest part of the hotel. My suggestion is to upgrade the rooms, have the rooms available for the client when they check in and have quicker more friendly customer service. Our room was very dirty it was brought to the maids attention on a daily basis and nothing was done. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was very well maintained. Everything was in good working order. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning and TV worked very well. Parking was plentiful and free. The only negative is that the hotel is a few blocks from the center of Fremont Street.

Love old town Vegas. Great price. Easy walk to the Duce to the strip. No pool, but went to the Golden Nugget for $20.00 per person for the day. Still cheaper than staying at the Nugget.

Better than I expected. Excellent Value

Got a great price for two nights, room was very large! Plenty of hot water and nice linens. Room service food and service was great. Only suggestion is the mattresses weren't super comfortable, but perfectly fine.

Every time we stay we are treated like royalty.

The expansion across the street (Cabana suites) were just gorgeous. The rooms, lobby, hallways, everything are decorated to look retro and vintage. The walls in the rooms are bright green... The hotel was beautiful and the bed, let's just say I could have laid there all day. SO COMFORTABLE! I would love to come back to this hotel.

Smelled bad in my room ,old pillows flat old bed did not get any sleep very uncomfortable.

Great deal and for the price I got it was perfect!

The El Cortez was great for the price, we had absolutely no problems. No elevator to our second floor room but as we are not handicapped, we didn't mind it. The casino was literally a flight of stairs below us, but our room maintained it's non-smoking status. The Fremont Experience was literally a short block away...awesome! And easy freeway access […] made going to the strip a breeze. We will definitely stay at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino again. Continua a leggere

My wife and I visited the first week of April for her birthday. We stayed in one of the vintage rooms. The price was very cheap, exactly what we needed. The room was smaller than we are are used to, but still very satisfactory. The Vintage rooms do not have any kind of view so if you want a view pick a different room. The parking was easy and close […] to the elevators. All the staff we talked to were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We never won any money in the casino, but that's not unusual for us. We are planning to stay in one of the tower rooms on our next visit in August. Continua a leggere

Very comfortable beds quiet location good overall stay a little slow at reception sometimes nice to have free limmo to the airport will stay here again

The El Cortez is a good choice if you are looking to stay downtown near Fremont Street. After many stays in Las Vegas, Fremont Street was a nice suprise and will be my future choice to get away from the crush of the Strip. El Cortez has a lot of history, as well as a good reasonable restaurant. Would stay there again for sure. Near the Deuce bucxe line […] as well, wich is an expensive way to travel down to the Strip. It was really nice to be so close to all the stuff that goes on at Fremont. I would recommend this motel to others. When we go on vacation in las vegas again thats were we will be staying. Thanks for the great stay.

Desk arued that the fenced in parking wasnt theirs but in fact it was because that is why i stay there to park my truck and bike trailer. Then they did not have record of reservation and wanted me to compramise on the room and then would not budge they suddenly had the room i reserved. The coffe shop wont let you where a tank top or any type of sleeveless […] shirt. Its a coffe shop not fine dining and bikers dress for the weather. I had an ok experience at this hotel I got their late to check in around 10:30 pm to my amazement they said they had over booked and that they did not have anymore rooms with 2 beds non smoking so they had to upgraded us to a suite so I was not mad but it is very irresponsible to over book their rooms overall ok

When we got to our Pavillion room we found blood on the bathroom wall. I called down to the front desk and they promptly apologized and put us into one of the new suites across the street. That was awesome. We then went to eat dinner there and the steak house does not allow kids to eat there which sucked. We then went to the Coffee Shop where we waited […] in line for over an hour and then when we got in the food was lousy! One of the worst experience of dining we have had there ever.
