"Family hotel in Eden"
I had requested a non-smoking room and when I opened the door to the room, I could immediately smell that someone previously had been smoking in the room. "What Happened to Housekeeping?"
I usually love staying at any Jameson Inn; they are known for their quality service. This particular hotel; however, had poor housekeeping services. Although my room was clean when I arrived, it was not cleaned for the two days I stayed there. My husband and I did not even receive clean towels for the two day stay, other than those that were already […] in the room when we arrived. My bed was not made over the entire stay, nor was the bathroom cleaned. These are big deals to me. The staff seemed distracted by their smoking and personal phone breaks. Room was very clean and updated. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to food and shopping. Breakfast was nicely stocked with good selection. Only minor complaint was lack of information upon check-in. Was given a room key with no information of where to find anything or what time to check out. For the most part the hotel was fine. They use these little pillows that feel overstuffed and are a little hard, which if you have been travelling for long periods, doesn't make the sleep easy. Check in is at 3:00 but we arrived around 1:00. Housekeeping had not finished cleaning the room, however, when the front desk called her she dropped what she was doing and finished cleaning our room. The room was clean and neat. The bed was a little hard for my comfort but not bad. The room was nonsmoking, but had an odor like it had once been a smoking room. The desk clerk was very friendly.
