Scotlands Hotel & Leisure Club Pitlochry

Over priced and over rated.. This hotel was heavily over priced, the room was tiny and the bed was solid. It is in dyer need of a refurb as the place looks dated. Glad to have checked out early..

We booked 2 rooms 3 months in advance. One of our rooms was much smaller than the other, yet we paid over $150 US for each. Smaller one should have been less. It is close to town center.

No complaints with hotel, only concerns were that we were in annexe which was separate from hotel, 50 yards up the street and were not told about that when booking.On arrival we were told that the dining room was full both evenings of our stay and could not accommodate us, also the advertised Bar/Bistro was closed till March.

Nothing exceptional about this hotel and not worth over £200 (not a specific rate) for two nights B&B for two adults. Would stay again but only if on an offer.

This was our first visit to Pitlochry and to the Scotlands Hotel. The hotel was first class, our room was massive and clean, a good selection of food for breakfast served quickly with a smile. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and gym but felt the gym is needing upgraded. Our only complaint about Pitlochry was it was to quiet at night. This hotel is missing a trick, great location, central and offers lots of amenities yet does not utilise them. I booked this for a wee treat and because of the spa/pool etc. I was extremley disappointed to find the that pool/sauna etc was only open from 8-11 am and then from 6pm - 7.30 pm on a wed/thur when we were there, poor show. It was really good […] despite this but a few little jobs need doing all around the hotel, they need a maintenance man ! The pool was great, nice sauna, clean enough but should be open all day. Bedroom was OK. Bed average. bathroom also average. Breakfast was excellent and we received a standard of service that I would expect. We had a superior room and you can see where the hotel is going. The new owners are trying to improve the hotel but it is still a work in progress. This means some things are excellent but some are shabby. Our main complaint would be that the kitchen/restaurant don't seem to be well organised, staffed or run. Hotellet låg på promenadavständ från järnvägsstationen. Vacker byggnad med härligt stora sällskapsutrymmen samt bar och restaurang. Rummen av ordinär standard men helt och rent. Mycket trevlig frukost.
