L'hotel è situato a Newark, di fianco a Penn Station: una passerella coperta, con un piccolo centro commerciale, conduce direttamente alla stazione, e varie linee permettono di raggiungere Manhattan in 20 minuti di treno a 5$ a viaggio. Io lo consiglio per chi vuole spendere una cifra umana ma comunque essere comodo per raggiungere Manhattan in non troppo tempo (Penn Station e Madison Square Garden). Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, ma il costo di 10$ al giorno per la Wifi è assurdo. Sotto all'hotel ci sono vari posti dove poter far colazione (Starbucks, Donkey donuts e anche il pub dell'hotel). I treni viaggiano tutta la notte, quindi non si è soggetti a "coprifuoco".. consigliato.

L'hotel è situato in una zona molto comoda per raggiungere l'aeroporto di Newark. E' piuttosto grande, ampio parcheggio gratuito per i clienti dell'albergo, e c'è pure un pub/ristorante dove si mangia discretamente. Wifi gratuita, camere spaziose, pulite e letti molto comodi. Nulla da eccepire, ma di sicuro non è la soluzione che fa per voi se cercate una sistemazione comoda per raggiungere Manhattan. Ottimo se avete bisogno di dormire vicino all'aeroporto. unico neo: introvabile col navigatore (TomTom)

Prendendo il PATH (ha la navetta che ti viene a prendere, chiamandola, gratuitamente alla Penn Station e ti porta li ogni mezz'ora) sei a Manhattan (WTC) in mezz'ora. L'hotel e' pulito e la colazione buona.
Posizione
Hotel Indigo Basking Ridge si trova a Basking Ridge. Le attrazioni nei dintorni includono: Bridgewater Commons. Nella stessa area sono inoltre presenti: Rutgers University e Fiddler's Elbow Country Club.

"Needs new beds!"
We've stayed here a number of times during holidays. It's definitely cleaned well, but definitely noisier because of the lack of carpeting in the rooms. It's a convenient place as far as location and ease getting in and out, but they really need to get some new mattresses! "Nice, but here's a tip..."
We stayed for two nights at this hotel. The first night was fine. The second night, however, was a disaster as our neighbors (on the other side of a connecting door) checked in at 11:20pm and proceeded to talk so loudly for the next two hours, that we could hear their entire conversation the whole time, as well as the news broadcast. I appreciated hearing […] about the weather, but I didn't need to hear about their patients' UTIs, bladder infections, hip fractures, etc. Or the guests' stinky feet, displeasure with the shower, or husband who didn't care they didn't make it home after work (it was a blizzard outside). When I called the front desk, he explained that it was the "fault of the genius who decided to put laminate floors instead of carpeting" in the room. In my opinion, it was the genius who decided to put all the guests on one floor rather than staggering rooms so no one had to be next to one another. He let slip that the 4th floor was completely empty and he would be happy to move us to another room if we preferred, but given that we had an entire cart's worth of paraphenalia for our sleeping 2yo son, and it was midnight, that wasn't so much of an option. So...here's my tip. If you stay here, beg to be put in a room that does NOT adjoin to another via suite door, unless you are really interested in hearing about a complete stranger's annoying boss instead of sleeping. THE WOOD FLOORS STINK WE DIDNT NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT BECAUSE PEOPLE WE WALKING ON THE WOOD FLOORS ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT .AND THE ROOM WAS FREEZEING NO HEAT ON IN THE ROOM WHEN WE GOT THERE AT MIDNIGHT WE NEEDED TO WAIT TO WARM UP THE ROOM BEFORE WE BEFORE WE COULD TAKE OUR COATS OFF ,THEN THE HEAT DONT TURN OFF WHEN THE ROOM REACHES 80
"Not the Ritz, but fine for a night or two"
This was our second time at this hotel, and while our room was not as well-maintained as the first one, we still had a pleasant stay (i.e. the dresser drawer was broken, the bathroom fan was broken, our light bulb burned out, etc). "Great decor, bad bed!"
The hotel was fantastic (hotel decor, room style/decor, room tv, etc) but when it was time to go to sleep, the bed was very uncomfortable! An annoyance in an otherwise great stay.
"Great Stopover just Outside of NYC"
The hotel was very comfortable with spacious rooms. Food/drink in the lounge/restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and our servers were very friendly. The hotel price was reasonable, and the staff was very nice. It was neat, clean and the rooms were relaxing and beautifully decorated. Great Deal!

We had a nice stay here! It was refreshing to have a hotel room at a decent rate that was stylishly decorated. Personally, I am grossed out by hotel carpeting, so I liked having the Pergo-type floor. Our room had a shower, but no bathtub (this would've been a problem bathing our son until recently). This hotel might be a good place to stay if you are […] tall, or large. For some reason everything felt really...high up. I am short, and it wasn't a problem for me, it was just a little weird. The bed was really comfortable (and I am picky about sheets!) - I didn't have trouble falling asleep like I usually do in hotel beds. Our hair dryer was broken, but they came up with a new one very promptly. A little off the beaten path from the other hotels nearby, but we had a nice experience and will definitely stay again. "Not all it was hyped up to be"
I was expecting this hotel to be a luxury experience, or at least some reasonable facsimile thereof...not at all. Check in took a few minutes and I was second in line. As my travel companion was checking in a prior check in had returned to the desk and walked right up saying her room was dirty. The person behind the desk finished with my companion and […] then went right to the lady that walked right up and helped her, despite me being next and had been waiting for about 7 or 8 minutes. I finally got checked in, got all the way up to the room and my key didn't work...the attendant never ran it through the machine as he was checking me in. Maybe he was just having a bad night, oh well. I got to my room and after my companion had bragged all about the spa like comfort and hard wood floors, I saw that they basically painted a stone mural on the wall and laid down some cheesy wood laminate on the floor. The room itself was decorated nicely, but it was just an old room in an old hotel with new furniture and paint. Breakfast in teh morning was okay. The selection was limited, but the food was good. We had our breakfast included with our rate, but other co workers that arrived the night before us said they paid full price ($15+) and there wasno way that I would have paid that much for that breakfast. My overall experience was not one that would make me want to stay here agian, but that is just my opinion. Continua a leggere
