La prima ci sono stato per caso l'anno scorso insieme alla mia ragazza, quest'estate volendo tornare a Dublino per un paio di giorni non ho avuto dubbi su dove soggiornare. Rathgar è quel tanto distante dal centro da far sì che i prezzi siano contenuti, ma non troppo distante: quasi sempre ho fatto la strada da e verso Grafton Street a piedi, di giorno come di notte senza mai fare incontri spiacevoli. Anzi. La zona è a ogni modo ben servita dall'ottimo servizio di autobus dublinesi, dunque anche per i sedentari è ok. Un posto piacevole, con personale piacevole, in un quartiere piacevole: una bella casa vittoriana gestita da Monica, una ragazza che personalmente mi ha sempre trattato molto bene con colazioni abbondanti (e buone, tanto da giustificarne il prezzo per la verità un filo elevato se si ha in mente di avanzare qualcosa nel piatto), consigli sugli spostamenti e altro. Bollitore per té e caffé a disposizione in camera, molti cuscini, TV, bagno privato. Locato vicino a un paio di pub carini e a una coffee library, nonché a supermarket, lavanderia e altri servizi. Insomma, per me un affare.

"Fantastic break at Tinakilly"
We had a fantastic stay at the Tinakilly Hotel in Feb 2013. It is an ideal base to explore the Wicklow area. The hotel itself is full of character with lots of original features which we just loved. The hotel staff were really friendly, we were looked after by Rosie for much of our stay who was a delight to talk to and could not have been more helpful. […] The grounds were lovely and being blessed with good weather we managed to relax in the garden with a book and a Guinness. The food in terms of breakfast, bar snack and dinner could not be faulted. Only thing that could be improved was the time it took to be served in the bar - when you're quaffing delicious Guinness in Ireland time is of the essence!! (so my husband tells me!) "Great for couples, secluded and romantic"
Very quiet time of year, I was one of only three guests staying that night. As I was travelling alone, the concierge was friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner and where to go on my onward travels. Lovely Hotel, cannot fault it really. Food was excellent and room had an amazing view. Great place to escape from Dublin for a night or two. Prices are quite reasonable for accommodation but the food is certainly more inline with Dublin prices. "perfect stop over to the next day."
We arrived not knowing what to expect and we were over the top impressed with everything at Tinakilly Hotel. We had an amazing room! and we walked around the grounds and it was totally worth it. The women at the front desk was absolutely over the top in customer service and going above and beyond what you would expect. Everyone actually were great from […] the staff there. "Nice and quiet"
The hotel is just outside Wicklow town about 5 - 10 mins drive. The hotel its self is on lovely secluded grounds with a sea view on one side. The room was huge not other way of putting it loads of space in it, the bathroom needed a bigger bath the toilet seat was too small and loose and shower wasn't that good, but it was clean and did the job. The […] bed was 2 singles put together which is pretty standard for most hotels and something I detest because one side was soft the other hard. The TV was old and most of the channels didnt work. The breakfast/dinner room was nice, the dinners were nice but not really value for money to be honest, the breakfast was ok, usual options but was included in the price so didn't expect much. We had been having a lot of rain and really just wanted to go home! But upon checking into The Hotel, we were so comforted by the staff, especially Tasha and her tour of the lovely amenities. "Terrible service"
I have never felt compelled to write a negative review before, but our stay at tinakilly house has changed this. The rooms were nice and there is a cosy little bar, but there was a musty smell throughout the entire hotel. But it is an old country house so allowances were made for that. The real bugbear was with the reataraunt. Service was a disaster. We […] had booked the early bird sitting but when we arrived were not allowed to order from that menu! The meal was very average considering its price. Breakfast was like a scene from Fawlty Towers but our patience was wearing thin, waiting 40 minutes for our order to be taken. I was also promised a call from the manager to apologise for our experience here but have yet to hear anything. Life is too short to tolerate the poor level of service that is provided here. Did not come close to our expectations 0/5. If you are looking to stay in Wicklow there are many better hotels on this website in the locality that I would recommend ahead of here. We spent a lovely weekend at Tinakilly. Hotel has the grandeur of a previous centure with modern comforts. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good, plenty of options. Dinner excellent but expensive.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
