"Close to highway and great shopping."
The hotel and staff were super. Just one complaint the bed was very un comfortable could use a new mattress.

"Close to the main attractions but..."
One of the main attractions, Splash Lagoon, is directly across the street. The problem with that is the hotel rooms are all the same size, and are very tiny. There is an almost creepy mirror that is at the head of the bed on the wall. They provide a little daybed to try to make extra room, but only a small child could sleep on it, and I'd be concerned […] the child would fall since it is so narrow. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was clean. If you don't mind a small room- go for it. Once there though, you cannot switch your room since they are all the same. I loved the location! "Not Bad at All"
After a bad experience the night before at a different motel this one was a DREAM. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We loved the free wifi. My only complaint would be the cleaning times. We aren't morning people so we could never get out in time for the room to get cleaned. I believe they usually came around 11am or so.

We have stayed a few times here and are always well taken care of. Only draw back is the external sounds in the place. Could use a little more insulated walls for sleeping.

the heating unit would not stop operating, you had no control of room temperature. all cold or all hot, what the unit needs is to have a thermostats installed to regulate the temperature just like home heating and cooling systems.

Very surprised and pleased. This hotel was the lowest priced for the date I was going and the hotel was better than many of the other hotels I have stayed at that cost more. Very clean hotel and rooms, friendly and helpful staff, the lobby was decorated for the season and the hotel offered more than what I would expect for the price I paid. Was impressed with the breakfast for the cheap rate we paid! Convienently located across the street from splash lagoon. Dog friendly. Good bargain for your buck. Disappointed with snow removal (I slipped and fell in parking lot)

TV was old and antiquated with a poor quality picture. The heating unit could not be controlled. It was either too hot or too cold.

It was a great location for shopping and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fan in the heater was a bit loud but besides that it was very clean and comfy.

I reserved an non-smoking room but was given a smoking room and was told that my reservation came across as a smoking room and that they had no non-smoking rooms available. I showed the clerk at the front esk my my paperwork that showed I had reserved a non-smoking room, but they wouldn't do anything to fix the problem. "Rooms are too small"
Microtel seemed fairly clean and the service was great. However the rooms are way too small, fit for only one person. The TV was extremely small and old fashioned, definitely needs to be updated.

Room was small (micro), but had all the necessities. I'm a big guy and was impressed with the comfort of the bed and the clean smelling sheets. It was easy to control the room temp. and the water had good pressure. The location is great - close to the freeway, restaurants, and family recreation. I was in town to visit my son at a local college. Very […] convenient. My wife had stayed at Microtel a couple months before and was pleased, now I am, too. The price is competitive and reasonable. The complimentary breakfast includes more than dry foods - make your own waffles, biscuits/gravy, and an above average single cup coffee maker and juice bar. I choose this hotel based on many factors, one was a fitness room which was not open and another was HBO which did not come in. Was told at the front desk that there was nothing they could do about it.

Stayed at the hotel for the Erie marathon, 17 minute drive to the start, breakfast was ready by 5:30 to accommodate the early start, much appreciated.

Absolutely lovely stay at the Microtel Inn in Erie. Everyone who worked there were extremely helpful and very nice. I will come back here next time I visit Erie.

Very clean, small, yes, but that's no secret. Perfect for 2 people for 1 night. Anymore in the room and it would have been crowded. Comfy bed, loved the window seat! Disappointed there was no coffee maker in the room, but we LOVED the free coffee in the lobby!

A very nice hotel if you're staying in Erie or just the night. The staff was very welcoming and courteous and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location right on the Interstate is convenient for both staying in Erie, or as an overnight stop. Highly recommended.

"Small but clean and pet-friendly"
The Microtel Erie is a typical Microtel property. Rooms are very small but very clean. If you plan to spend a lot of time hanging out in the hotel, the room will probably be too small for your needs. But if like us you use the hotel as a home base for hiking and kayaking in Presque Isle State Park and exploring the Erie area wineries, only sleeping […] and washing up in the hotel, it is an excellent value. The breakfasts include at least one hot fresh dish each day like scrambled eggs, in addition to freshly-made Belgian waffles, bagels, biscuits, danish, fruit, and cereal that are available every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they brought a mini-frige in to our room upon request. And our 95 pound Labrador/Rotweiler mix dog was welcome and comfortable too. I was looking for an economical solution for a quick stop in Erie and this was perfect. The rooms are small, but the accommodation is completely adequate and the motel appears well managed. Near shopping, I-90 & 79, and a variety of restaurants. Great value!

Room was smaller than most but worked out good for us. We were not there to spend time in the room other than to sleep and shower. Bed was very comfortable! Carpets were stained and looked like they could be replaced. Would stay here again
