Siamo tornati da un giorno e abbiamo ancora nel cuore i colori, i sapori e le sensazioni che ci ha lasciato Aruba, un'esperienza indimentiabile. L'hotel è stato perfetto per i nostri canoni, inizialmente avevamo prenotato a Reinassance Marina ma poi abbiamo chiesto di essere spostati all'Ocean Suite perchè ci piaceva di più come sistemazione e c'è voluto […] solo un momento per fare il cambio. Il ristorante Capin's Corner è meraviglioso vista mare, cibo delizioso e personae molto gentile, qui facevamo colazione e cena. Anche il Solè per uno spuntino è davvero fantastico. Abbiamo provato anche l'aquarius buffet molto buono e personale davvero molto gentile. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile e l'Ocean Suite ha delle stanze molto spaziose e accoglienti e un letto davvero molto comodo. L'hotel è defilato rispetto ai grandi alberghi e questo lo rende molto tranquillo e rilassante. L'isola privata è davvero un paradiso pieno di iguane e con i simpatici fenicotteri, ci sono anche molti pesci per gli amanti dello snorkeling. La barca passa puntualissima ogni 15 minuti circa e gli accompagnatori sono molto gentili e davvero bravi. E' stato tutto magnifico abbiamo anche avuto la possibilità di fare il check out ritardato che è stato davvero molto comodo. Consigliamo di noleggiare un'auto per girare l'isola è molto comodo e piuttosto economico. Speriamo di tornarci presto perchè siamo stati davvero bene e a nostro agio, come a casa, ma in un paradiso terrestre!!!! Continua a leggere

If you like airplanes flying over all day while you try to relax at the pool or private island, stay here! If you like staying in a hotel that literally makes you feel like you are stuck in the 70's and is very worn inside (and I checked multiple rooms) and you want to spend an outrageous nightly rate compared to better places on the island--stay here! Honestly, […] this hotel is very old and not located near any relaxing areas in Aruba or even on a nice clear beach. Planes constantly fly over. The rooms are aweful--old tubs, dingy carpet, low ceilings and ceiling tiles in bathrooms. Great location! Great staff! Always super friendly and eager to please in any way possible! The bathrooms in the room are due for an upgrade, but are clean and not at all unsanitary! I would stay here again!

Very nice downtown Hotel (Renaissance Aruba Marina Resort) in Oranjestead. Great location with a beautiful, private beach island. The public areas were spectacular (lobby, boat launch, fitness center, shopping mall, restaurants (including a Starbucks), nice casino). Would love to see the hotel rooms (bathrooms) updated a little more and mustiness eliminated […] in the hallways and in the rooms, Overall, a very nice hotel with a very accommodating staff. I would only recommend this hotel to a friend depending on the quality hotel they are looking for. If they don't plan n spending a lot of time in the room, this hotel would be good. If they're looking for a more upscale nicer room with amenities, stay some place else. My toilet leaked twice and had to be fixed. the maintenance guy was very nice though. […] The staff in general was great! Not really sure if I'd stay here again. This was our 4th time at this hotel. There was an error on our room location but they fixed it immediately. You will love the staff. We have been going there since 2004 and it is like coming home because the staff turnover is little to none. We can't wait to go back next year!

First and foremost, we love Aruba and can not wait to return. The Renaissance is a beautiful resort. The location was great with everything right there and it has a very low key atmosphere. Things were usually quiet by 10:00 at night. So that was the time to go next door. The casino is fun and drinks are on the house. Nice touch. Being right downtown […] you could walk to all the shops. The Renaissance has its own mall, however it is all designer retail stores so not everyone can shop there. One thing I did notice is that many of the people who worked in the market next door seemed tired and uninterested in the people or their job. If I could give the hotel any advice, I would say to bump up the brunch at the outdoor restaurant. If I could give you any advice it would be to make SURE you know where your room is. It is very big with two hotels across the street from each other. We requested an ocean view and they put us in the hotel across the street with only a pool, no balcony, and no view of anything. We have been coming to this hotel for 4 years in a row. We love the family atmosphere and couples would also enjoy this hotel. This hotel is very well maintained, however service is a bit slow, but so is the island, seems to be the culture here. They have an island you take a boat out to that runs every 10 minutes or so. The island is WONDERFUL! They […] have a family side and an adult side. They also have a beach and pools at the hotel. Good for small children. This side of the island doesn't seem as touristy as the other side. Feels like you get away from the hustle and bustle. This will relax you if you feel stress of any sort. Casinos are easy to get to if you like to gamble along with high end stores located just in walking distance with restaurants. Taxis are easy to get also. First trip to Aruba and we were very pleased with the Renaissance Resort. We had the all inclusive package and the restaurant choices were excellent. The high light of this resort is their private island with beautiful lagoon beach, restaurant and accommodations.

Great being above the mall. No mini bar. There is no privacy in the rooms unless you close the blackout curtains. Small and limited complimentary toiletries. Not enough wall sockets to plug things in. No in room wifi. Overall a good hotel, but nothing amazing.

We visited on on honeymoon and booked the Marina side. The room was small and there was construction going on outside, definitely not what we wanted. After speaking with the front desk they stated we could upgrade for an extreme amount, which was unacceptable to us. We ran into the general manager by accident and after explaining our situation, he upgraded […] us at no charge to the other side with the private beach and it was AWEsome! No complaints after that! Rooms seem like they need an update. They were doing repairs to the lobby and the restaurants were updated. The bathrooms were tiny and dingy.

Desk staff more informative.. More available snacks at the ocean suites. Cleaning service missed days of leaving coffee took along time to get coffee. Pricy fat mini markets.. Maintsince helpful with suitcase repair. Overall very nice.

I arrived into Aruba at 24:04, just afternight and the airport was closed!!!!!!. So Tiara airlines took us over Curacao Island, the local airlines never respect timing, it was delayed for 2 and half hours. They send us to a hotel one hour away from the airport, and obviously, needing to use the aircraft to start the new day, they pick us up at 6:30, […] after 3 hours sleep!!!!!!! After waiting 2 hours in the following morning, I decided to buy a ticket with another airline to get to Aruba and attend my business meeting. The Renaissance Hotel respected my reservation and I enjoyed the Hotel very much, it is excellent. But, Tiara Airlines and the airport personal coud not care less for the tourists; I wish someone from the government could read these lines and change things around, in their benefit!!!!!!! The Renaissance is located in downtown Aruba in the middle of all that the happy island has to offer. It is surrounded by many restaurants, shops and upscale stores. There is a casino inside the hotel but my favorite was the outside heated pool that sits on a landing where you can actually see the cruise ships dock. The view is wonderful. The rooms […] were small but the bed and bedding were very comfortable. I fell instantly asleep each night. The hotel is nice for an adult only resort and the lobby area was very eclectic and lively with a huge wall screen where videos are played at night. In the evening the lobby is lit with many blue lights around the pool, bar & eatery. I like to shop, so I was thrilled that the mall was attached to the hotel. The only downside to this resort is that there was no beachview or free wifi in the rooms. I was not able to walk out onto the beach each day and evening. instead, we were provided with daily boat rides to a private beach where pink flamingos roamed. I did enjoy the ride and the beach. Everything would have been superb except they decided to re-tile main lobby and bar starting last Sunday. Noise level was obscene for 2 days. They have wonderful plans to redo hotel but this was not good timing.

I have been going for many years and they always seem to be doing something to upgrade the facility. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. the only issue is the bathroom and in particular the tub was kind of small.

The room was a big disappointment I would expect such a condition in hostel not 4* hotel chain, especially the bathroom is very bad. Rooms are in need of immediate renovation. Day before our leave some construction started around swimming pool area there was no note about this nor letter from Management analogizing for the inconvenience which is regular […] procedure in other hotels. Amenities are also not up to standard of 4* not as mentioned on their web side. The positive side is nice beach and location in the city center. However the beach is next to the airport so if you don't like hear noises from planes go elsewhere. Overall I would come back if they renovate and keep 4* hotel standard. Continua a leggere

A great place for families but also gives privacy for couples. The boat leaving from the lobby to the private island was superb! The island is a lovely touch!! The beach is very nice. However there are nicer shores, however a lot more crowded...

It was overall good, if you like being down town and not directly on the beach. They have there own private Island wich was nice. But when you had thought you booked the Raddison and you end up at the Renasance not much of a comparison on this island. Go to the radison. Food was average at best. Hotel is ok. Marina hotel need major bathroom remodling. Tub lamination is chipping,caulk is coming off and molded. Everyone I spoke to had the same complains. Now the suites are nice and are remodeled. They have a private beach which is really nice. Overall hotel would be perfect if they would upgrade the rooms.

The room smelled musty and the bedspread was wet. The bed sheets would not stay tight under us and it was a terrible nights sleep. The water turned cold in the shower after just a few minutes and we had a view of the inside of the building and starbucks while on the beautiful island of Aruba.

Having traveled extensively in the Caribbean and stayed at many resorts, we found this property to be very dated, small and inconvenient. Room was small and bathroom was just way too small - not even a stand-alone shower.

This hotel was a major disappointment. The lobby and public areas were beautiful, but the room was extremely old and dated. There was mold in the bathtub area, and it was rusting. Most of the views this hotel offered were of the lobby or construction ongoing in the city. We chose this because of the adults only area, as we were here for our anniversary, […] and we have stayed at other Marriott hotels before, but this was not up to the usual standards. We had heard it was to be remodeled in the next year or 2, hopefully sooner. On the plus side, we did ask to be moved to the suites across the street, and they were very nice and gave us a nice ocean view room...and charged us for the upgrade...not cheap! This hotel was much nicer, but still could use some improvements, such as attentiveness and speed of services, but that could be Island time. The pool bar/restaurant mgr was very nice, and sincerely was concerned about our opinions. Overall, would not recommend the adult Renaissance adult tower, suites were nice, but pricey. We loved this hotel. It had everything there that you needed and was right in downtown. The best part is the private island which you can't get anywhere else in Aruba. The staff is amazing and the service excellent. Would definitely go there again.

The experience was a solid 4! loved the hotel but it is a little old and well it is what it is a nice 4 star hotel.. I think the staff maximizes the existing structure as well as anyone could based on the facility...You will not be disappointed unless you want a posh resort, this place is as close to posh as possible without major room renovations...The […] shopping amazing, the boat to the private beach super cool as it comes right into the lobby..the Blue super awesome with the infinity pool..The only negative to this hotel is it's proximity to the nicer beaches about an 11 dollar cab ride each way...but let's be honest here that is the only bad thing, which is really not that bad sense the private beach for the hotel is very easily accessed by the boat that shows up all day every 15 minutes... No wireless internet in rooms, only in lobby is extremely poor and charging $15 per day for that is extremely tacky and cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and even tackier...no beachside or poolside drink or food service..self serve at bar or restaurant only.. Ice machine not working on our floor for 3 days...

Room was damp and smelly, complained to top management and just got the brush off. My computer and video camera was ruined and the hotel management were very rude and uncaring. They said they were not responsible for any damaged items and much less if anything is stolen. Folks, you are on your own at this hotel!! What a disappointment, paying top dollar […] for a high rated hotel only to get treated like liars. This was our wedding anniversary--- Ruined. What a lack of respect and waste of our time arguing. The room was not ready at our arrival, waited an hour and a half. The tubs are all dirthy and disgusting. The toilet water keeps running loudly after every use. Nice Experience. The staff was nice, the grounds were clean and fairly modern. The private beach was awesome. Hanging out with Pink Flamingos and giant Iguanas while snorkeling in clean,clear, warm water was fantastic and very peaceful. Only issue was no WiFi in the rooms. You needed to go to the lobby!! Not that all hotels don't need renovation but now they are doing construction and it is a complete eyesore. I would not stay here until construction is complete. They started on our 3rd day there so I would imagine it will be a while before they are finished. Also the bathrooms are so rundown. The wallpaper was falling off the wall and the tub was horrible. […] I asked for another room and was told all the bathrooms looked like this. I also asked other guests which confirmed this was true. The adult exclusive private island beach and hotel was very relaxing and perfect for couples and honeymooners. Stay was good overall, the only thing i do not like is the condition of the bathroom. They seem to have renovated the hotel rooms to bring them a more modern appeal but the bathrooms were left behind. Mold in the showers is unacceptable in my opinion.

Cons- Room was OK. Shower very small, could barely stand in it. King Bed was lopsided, and curtains ripped and the rod fell off when we tried to close them. Iron had a burr in it that ruined a dress. Captains cove had MANY wild birds, some of which I saw drinking straight from the open juice and milk left out, and every chair was covered in bird feces. […] Service was slow at times, and incorrect others. Pros- Linen seemed clean, and housekeeping did well. Free wifi in main area. Food at LG's and service there was excellent. Aquarius, solo and blue were acceptable. Nice little casino. Had plenty of shops, and a theatre (but I never saw anyone in the ticket booth; maybe it was closed?) adult side had ferry that docked inside the main level and through a canal to private island.
