Inviato da Velia F. di "Catania" il 16 lug 2011Hotel molto elegante e originale (il personale veste il caratteristico kilt scozzese a quadri verdi e azzurri), le camere familiari sono abbastanza comode, i bagni sono grandi, pulitissimi e ben accessoriati. Efficientissimo il servizio di valet parking. Ottima la posizione a pochi passi dall'animatissimo lungomare. Per gli amanti del gioco è l'ideale in quanto un tunnel lo collega direttamente al casino con un percorso di pochi minuti. Wi-fi gratuita nella hall dell'hotel. Nella stessa struttura sono presenti numerosi negozi e locali. Halifax è una città diversa dalle altre città canadesi, ha un fascino particolare!

"nice hotel, difficult experience"
The hotel is very nice, but I found the front desk staff difficult. My flight was delayed coming in and their shuttle ends at mid night, so I paid $36 for a taxi one way (about a 7 min drive). Then there was a change in our departing flight early in the morning, but unfortunately we needed to go to the airport to rebook and were not able to do so over […] the phone. When I asked if we could return to our room after changing the flight (check out is at 11am and it was only 6:30 am) I was told the shuttle would not come back for us (myself, pregnant, and my 2 year old daughter). "Inn on the Lake, Halifax- so near, yet so far"
Great place to stay near the airport that doesn't feel near the airport! Complimentary shuttle every half hour-on time & easy. Very nice location on a lake that we wished we had time to enjoy. "Handy to airport - cosy and friendly"
Stayed first and last night of a one week vacation. Night 1 was great, as we were upgraded to a ground floor room overlooking the pool and the food was excellent, staff really friendly and service first class. I would recommend this hotel as a stop over or for smaller meetings close to the airport. It costs $40.00 each way for a taxi to downtown Halifax […] - so probably best if you already have decided on a rental car if you intend to visit the city. There is a lake - and the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, but there is also a very busy highway - close enough to hear the traffic with all the windows shut, but the owners have done their best to minimize. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin and if you have noisy neighbours it can be very distracting. Our last night was not so good. Our room was not ready and we were assigned another room on the 3rd floor. Room was lovely, but unfortunately it was an adjoining room with a very loud couple who screeched down the hallway around midnight and we could hear every word from then on. A very loud - Oh My God!! was the last straw and I finally called the front desk at 1:30 am. Not the hotels fault that the guests were inconsiderate - but maybe some more insulation might help! I found Inn on the Lake on # 2 Highway to be very close to the airport which was our goal. I wasn't made aware that there would be a lite snack of breads and muffins and tea or coffee in the morning which was a very nice surprise as we left so early in the morning and it was a long wait before we had a chance to have breakfast. We arrived very late at night so it was difficult to see, however when the shuttle service picked us up to go to the airport (which I must mention is one of the top reasons why we booked this hotel) the hotel sits on a beautiful property overlooking the lake. We stayed here overnight after landing at Halifax airport. It is easy to find being just off the highway, with great lake views, although otherwise the location is a little random. The rooms are huge, clean and very quiet. The interior decor is dated, but the comfort makes up for that. "Very Nice!"
This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The front lobby is quaint and the receptionist very polite, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were large and bright and clean. They arranged for a taxi to the airport for 4 AM, and paid for it because the shuttle only starts later! Our remote control for the fireplace did not work, so we had to use the controls under […] the fireplace (what a hardship). "Inn on the Lake, near Halifax, Nova Scoita"
We chose this hotel due proximity to Halifax airport. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. Extremely FRIENDLY service and hospitality from EVERYONE. Sign of good management! Nice setting on Lake Thomas with outside gazebo, small beach, tennis courts,etc. Very serene during our fall visit. When our flight was cancelled coming home, […] we ended up staying a second time being they were close to the airport. And the second experience was just as wonderful as the first. They seem to enjoy "special occasions" at dinner and readlity took our picture for their website ... and gave us a nice copy as remembrance of our 40th wedding anniversary! Very nice touch. Their two restaurants were very nice. Lastly, on our second visit, being unexpected ... they accommodated a room change request (upgrade) ... and we applauded them for their special consideration. Best hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Very friendly and very clean. Lovely food and had a very homely feel at the onsite bar. Very helpful staff and would definately go again if ever back in the area. We stayed on our last night for aiport location, just a 10 minute drive away and easy to find with good parking. This is a lovely Inn in a beautiful setting. The room was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the Inn provides free shuttle service to and from the Halifax airport. Gutes, sauberes und ruhiges Hotel ca. 15 min per Auto vom Flughafen Halifax entfernt. Top ist der gratis Shutle zum Airport. Das Hotel liegt nahe einer Autobahn und ist darum nur für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen. Zu beachten gilt, dass das Hotel auf der Strecke vom Flughafen in die Innenstadt von Halifax liegt.
