"Comodo per la vicinanza all'aeroporto"Recensito da un ospite di Hotels.com il 7 mag 2012
Ottima posizione vicino all'aeroporto se si arriva in piena notte come noi. Camere pulite e confortevoli, buona colazione.

"food & service"
Evening meal was'nt very good very overcooked. Breakfast, we waited around a long time whilst food was being refilled, when we did sit down to eat it was cold, very under staffed,
"Churchgate Hotel, a Hotel for quiet weekends"
Our stay in Churchgate Hotel was very pleasant! The service was good, the breakfast very satisfying and the hotel in general really nice. The only thing where I have to complain is the sauna and the changing room. The swimming pool and the hot tub where both clean and nice but as soon as u step downstairs to the solarium and the sauna it gets really […] disgusting... Please dear hotel, do something about it! After that the Hotel could be almost perfect for me! Another thing is the location. It is around 10 mins by taxi from the trainstation and u r kinda depending of other transports, even just to come to a nice restaurant. There are some nice pubs in 5 mins walk. Really nice village, rural and calm. Continua a leggere
"Churchgate Hotel"
Hotel is a bit dated but clean, room was quite big and has all the normal aminities you would expect. Suprissed that as a Swllow hotel the decor was loking a bit tiered but never the less it was clean and comfortable. Bar food was limited but adiquate and not to expensive.

Very good hotel
"Churchgate hotel Old Harlow"
We only stayed one night. The staff are friendly and helpful top marks to them. But the staff who clean the rooms want sacking our room could not have been clean properly for a month , thick dust on all ledges etc. rust on all taps and shower units threadbare chairs in room dirty windows the list could go on but at least our bed linen was clean so if […] you only need a place to rest your head for the night but visit elswhere then i would say stop here.Although hotels at other places around uk where we have stayed for less money have all been 100% cleaner than the Churchgate. The only other thing is breakfast plenty to eat but mostly dried out and we turned up for breakfast only 10 minutes after restaurant opened they must put food out at about 7 o'clock for it to dry that quick under the heat lamps. "Room for improvement"
Room was ok for our one night stopover. Buffet breakfast was the worst we have had in a long while, cold , badly cooked and poor quality.

"Churchgate Hotel Old Harlow"
My daughter and I have a lovely time at the hotel and the room was lovely and clean. We enjoyed the swimmining pool however the changing room and sauna area could do with the some redecoration as not very clean which was a shame as the pool area was nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we would visit the hotel again
This was a leisure trip but I've spent a lot of hotel-nights away on business and this hotel scores well in my rankngs. I was worried about some of the reviews this hotel had received. I needn't have been: the room was clean and comfortable, the staff generally helpful and friendly, the food good (and the bar food reasonably priced for a hotel of this […] type). The included breakfast had a good selection with components of reasonable quality (e.g. bacon) - as a "leisure" user, the 7-9am weekday times were a little early, especially as the buffet was cleared away promptly (although I suspect the staff might have brought something back out if asked). And, the pub in the village (2mins walk) looked inviting. Yes, the hotel decor is a bit run down and the restaurant could especially do with an uplift but, in general, it's OK - unless you're picky! The TV was a bit indifferent with a lot of interference on BBC1 and other channels (ITV1 and Ch5) missing at times, but I guess the hotel is in a poor reception area - my DAB radio couldn't get a signal. As for the surroundings, I wished we had the time to walk around the very rural locality. A couple of things about hotel chains in general and which apply to this one: there's the card about not changing the towels unless asked, but they all got changed anyway; if you want to give a gratuity, hand over the cash to the person concerned, otherwise it just disappears to head office. A final point before you book: if you book with the chain's website (Swallow) watch out for the Ts & Cs - I got caught out. They refer you to the Cancellation policy but the sting is in the Payment Policy - non-refundable handling charges, 10% deposit and Ccard fee. I did need to cancel and believed I would have no charge - the cancellation did indeed cost nothing but they had already taken £18 from my card - as described in the Payment policy. OK, my fault for not reading every last section but nevertheless I feel I've been stiffed! (I'm glad my booking Continua a leggere

"relaxing break"
We stayed for a Saturday night break. The room was good with tea and coffee making facilities and a iron and hairdryer. The bed was a bit bouncy and soft but ok if you like soft beds. We had drinks in the bar which was pleasant and the staff very friendly. Drinks are a bit expensive but normal for hotel prices. we had dinner in the hotle restaurant […] which i would recomend a set price meal with about four menu choices. It was excellent meal with good service if slightly on the slow side but then we were in no rush. We also used the lesiure center which was nice to be able to have a swim and jaccuzi but could only get a cup of coffee inside could do with a light snack and drink menu as it is a nice location to relax by. There is a village pub nearby and shop so a nice walk if you fancy it. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment so afew bare walls arround the corridoors but this in no way detracted from our stay. All in all a good hotel and value for money well worth trying their restuarant. They also do leaiure weekends and theme nights which also seemed reasonalbly priced. Continua a leggere
