The hotel was very nice, room was large (stayed in a corner unit). Pool and ground were very nice and well kept. Service was very good. Only thing is the gym was humid and hot, but the equipment was all new and good variety. Only other thing is the long drive through the subdiviision to get there. I had a great time! The hotel was very nice and the view of Lake Travis was wonderful!

We stayed for one night for a small getaway. Overall it was a good experience. Our toddler loved the pool area. We liked having a balcony in our room but at night we could hear a toilet flush from upstairs and our breakfast that was brought to our room had hair in it. Fun place, good for business and pleasure, beds and rooms are so-so, but all else makes it a great place. Great Gym as well, stay and enjoy!

I assumed a pricey resort and spa would have exceptional service and idyllic amenities. Our hotel room was extremely comfortable, but we couldn't enjoy the balcony with lake view that we paid extra for because of the bugs, spider webs, and debris that enveloped our balcony. It appeared to have never been swept and when we tried to walk out we had a […] face full of spider webs. When we went for a breakfast buffet two buildings over on the resort property, we walked in and weren't greeted. We stood there ignored and finally asked a waiter if we seat ourselves. He said, "No." and turned around and walked off. Finally, we just sat ourselves. Needless to say, we were never waited on. As we got our food and a male waiter brought us water. No one ever came over. Then, when we started to finish our first plate, a female waiter took the plates and we asked for our waiter to which no one came. When we finished, we sat their idle waiting and the someone else came with our check. Now, after we began eating, it is important to note a gentleman showed up and began greeting and guiding customers to be seated and about the buffet. However, we didn't have this pleasure. The staff was supper helpful, and very courteous, my wife and I had a wonderful time. Looking forward to do it again. Really good place to take a vacation.

The hotel staff was extremely courteous. Rooms were very clean. Nice fitness room. There was a storm on Monday. We checked in on Tuesday and when we checked out on Friday the pools were still very dirty. Our stay was in March so we wouldn't have swam, but the temperature was in the 80's. I visited this resort 20 years ago when my dad and I flew down to sleepy Lakeway airport and visited the restaurant. It was fun to return. In some ways its the same little hideaway - but updated. The hotel itself was very nice. We arrived in time for a 5pm happy hour and enjoyed a free beer on the balcony of the small bar. The spa area was nice, but […] it was disappointing that the pools are NOT heated. 61F is a bit too chilly. Sadly, the restaurant food was mediocre at best. My chicken fried steak was good but the house salad and my wife's steak salad was very poor. The wait staff was very friendly though only 2 waiters were on duty that evening -pretty low staffing for a Friday night, no? All in all a nice hidden hideaway in a now much more grown up Lakeway! We reserved and paid for a lakeside room with a balcony. Upon check-in they had us in a hillside room. It actually overlooked the parking lot. They did comp the first night and sent certificates for a future stay. The future stay is not valid for weekends or holidays. The pool is nice, the lake is low and the staff was really friendly. Our trip to Honolulu over Spring break fell through due to last-minute illness. We were blessed to be able to make reservation at the Lakeway Resort and Spa after our family felt better. We even got the Lakeview room on the 5th floor upon our request. We spent three days at the resort and felt completely relaxed by the time we left. This place makes […] us feel very special with its personal touch. Around 10 minutes after we had checked in our room, complimentary fresh-cut fruits, yogurt, and buttered pecans were delivered to our room for our afternoon snacks. This is one of the reasons that we've been coming back here at least once or twice a year over the last 5 years when ever we need to do long weekend get away -- from the Houston heat. Lakeway resort is located at a prime location in Austin with a very scenic view of lake Travis. This is the second time I'm staying at this hotel and I'm sure I will be back here again. We live in austin and this was a great quick getaway. The newer part of the building, the pool and spa area is super nice. The rooms are older but well-renovated. Great views of lake travis.

Last 10 months ago, I scouted out places for my wife (pregnant at the time) and I go for a weekend get away. I found Lakeway Resort and Spa via Hotels.com and had a wonderful time. This year, we needed a getaway with our 4 month-old son so we automatically thought about Lakeway R&S again. This time, we took advantage of the spa options, which we were […] so glad that we did! The employees were all very nice. The massage therapist were very professional and made us very relaxed. Oh, and the massages were awesome!! Every encounter my wife and I had with the staff were very welcoming. Everyone at the hotel, spa and restaurants were so nice and friendly. As far as the restaurant goes, it is a little dated, but still very clean. I would suggest some updates to help maintain the same reflection as the spa and hotel. However, the food was very good! My wife and I had a bowl of some of the best tomato basil bisk that we have ever eaten. The hotel provides a great view of Lake Travis, the 3 pools and rustic outdoors. Not much to do during winter -- both pools are outdoors and not heated, though a firepit was lit. This hotel and grounds need a makeover; hotel is getting dated. Corporate ownership has recently changed and a capital investment at upgrading amenities was promised by the staff. Hotel was great! Views are breathtaking! I would have given it an overal rating of 5, but the food was marginal and too pricey for the value.

My wife and I wanted to get away from the crazy pace of present life. This was the Perfect Place. The resort has a great gym facility and the pools and hot tube are great. Lakeway Resort is a wonderful hotel with fantastic amenities. From the moment you walk in until you check out you feel that this establishment provides quality service. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour with the staff going out of its' way to please. The service and room was excellent.

My husband and I only stayed one night, but it was very nice. The room was comfortable and in excellent condition, with a beautiful view of Lake Travis. When we got there it was happy hour, so wine and cheese and crackers were free, and delicious. We also split a chicken wrap and fruit in the bar, for dinner, and it was also delicious. Lakeway is a very, very nice place to stay. The staff there is just the best. They are all very nice, polite and always had a smile on their face. The only complaint we had was that the walls in the rooms are paper thin. You can hear everything going on in the rooms beside you, so we didn't get too much sleep.

The hotel itself is really nice, and the surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous. But it's really far from Austin and it takes 10 minutes to drive to the nearest... anything. The coffee bar and the (only) restaurant on the premises are terribly expensive. It cost my wife and I $50 for lunch: two entrees, an appetizer and 2 cokes. No liquor. It cost us […] $8 for 2 muffins at breakfast. On top of it all, the food wasn't even that good. Lastly, the spa was really nice. Again, very expensive. $450 for 2 massages and 2 pedicures. My wife and children went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were the friendliest staff I have encountered. I won't hesitate to return when I'm back in the Austin area.

Rooms were very clean, staff were professional & friendly. We stayed in a room with lake view. It was beautiful. The view was even nicer at night with the lights on the water. Pool area is very large and very pretty. Traveled with family and can't wait to go back.

This was an excellent choice. Located about 25miles from Austin itself it was far enough away from the hustle and still close enough so that one can enjoy a night on the town. My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of September and absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is in a beautiful location and I would completely advise spending a little extra to get a lake view room. The views are stunning. All of the staff are really friendly and always took time to ask us how we were and how we were enjoying […] our stay. We were treated to a complimetary happy hour everyday of free beer and wine and were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. We ate on site for the majority of our stay and can not say one bad thing about our experience. We had the buffet breakfast each morning for $12.95 and were treated to an array of food. We also ate in Josies restaurant on site an were treated to some gorgeous meals (and dessserts) for great value prices. Overall a fantastic stay and we would recommend to all. We went down for labor day weekend. The pool is great, the staff we awsome!!! Great time chilling by the pool and then the valet gave us a golf cart ride down to the marina where we rented a boat for the day. Great room service food and pool side as well. Get the shredded beef nachos by the pool!!! All in all, a great experience!!!!

This hotel overlooks Lake Travis and was such a neat experience! The stunning infinity edge pools with swim up bar for adults and separate kid's pool with beach front entry area with lifeguards and large slide were such a plus! Top-notch service along with a quality product is what I am looking for most when I spend the money on a premium hotel and Lakeway Resort did not disappoint. The management staff there is great and the spa was delightful. Try the Candlelight Retreat package.

Great hotel, great service, beautiful location, but be aware of two things: There is a $15 mandatory resort fee charge to your bill that you will not be warned of and cannot remove regardless of weather or not you used any of their services/facilities. Second, the restaurant is great from breakfast, but mediocre for lunch and dinner and if you don't […] have a car you will need to ask for the shuttle to take you elsewhere. This is tip based as long as you are within a certain radius, however there aren't any decent restaurants within their limit so you will pay prices similar to a taxi . Continua a leggere
