We stay here for a wedding, the hotel its self is lovely and is in beautiful ground. The bedroom were wonderful and had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. What was a huge shame is the breakfast, we waited ages the staff came out with the wrong dish, they were so disorganised and when we did get the Full English it was dry and horrible. […] It was not just us in the hotel that complain about the breakfast!! Weather was cold and wet so this spoilt the setting and perhaps clouded my judgement. The bedroom was rather small and had only one chair. Dinner had to be eaten in the annex and the service was slow, while afternoon tea was in a cold hall. However, the food was good and value for money.

Nice hotel. It's an older place with a lot of charm. Rooms are updated and clean. Everything about it was good. This is not a magnificent hotel....just very nice. If you want something more upscale, you might want to look around. I was happy, though.

On arrival - plenty of parking, easy to find with or without Sat Nav. Reception and check in was friendly and efficient. The room was well equipped and clean, if not a little small for the price. The bathroom was well equipped and of a decent size, just the bedroom could have done with a little more space to move around. Food in the restaurant was tasty […] but expensive. One restaurant has a fixed menu at £40.00 for a two course or £47.00 for a three course.....for that I would want it to be cooked by royalty and fed to me by the queen! The other restaurant is still a bit pricey in my opinion, and I eat out out a lot. Breakfast service was slow and it was a struggle to get a table. The breakfast food was well presented and tated okay as long as you like smoked bacon! Check out was fast and efficient and local knowledge of the staff was good. Continua a leggere

This is the first time I stayed at this hotel outside of London, just to avoid the madness of the games, but I was pleasantly surprised and actually sad to leave. This is very little to complain about, save the service and quality of the restaurant, but all in all I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Breakfast restaurant staff were unsmiling/unwelcoming/unattentive. Had to wait a very long time for a bowl of dreadful porridge which I could not eat. Orange juice was not fresh or even good quality bottled jiuce. Expect more from a 4 * hotel. Carpet on stairs was worn and in need of replacement. We didn't feel the room was an executive double, it was far too cramped and why no fridge and mini bar? Our breakfast was disappointing with eggs benedict being hard, toast arriving before anything else, cooked breakfast arriving before we'd had our yoghurt and the coffee we ordered didn't materialise at all. The staff uniforms were threadbare and torn […] (the gentleman who served us breakfastand and one of the Managers). We felt the staff were most unprofessional. I was looking for reasonably priced accommodation in the Leatherhead area for one night. To be honest there was not a lot of choice but I was certainly not disappointed when I drove up in front of the Woodlands Park Hotel, nor after I had checked-in and found my room. Sadly I did not get chance to sample either of the dinner menus but may well book […] and take my wife there for dinner some time in the future. The English breakfast was very good. Tasty and of good quality but mine could have been slightly hotter. They also serve great coffee. Other than that I had no negative comments on the place. All in all a very good experience. Staff friendly and helpful especially the breakfast waiter who set our table in the grand hall in front of the fireplace. Minor issues were staff not able to get the fireplace to light in the evening while we sat in the Grand Hall. Also the sound on tv seemed to have a max setting which was fine for tv viewing. However […] we borrowed a DVD from the front office and the sound was low and the volume control did not let it go louder so we had to sit on the end of the bed to hear it. This hotel was superb! The room exceeded my expectations on every count. All of the necessities were ready and waiting in the room, lovely creams, lotions, cotton swabs, shampoos and conditioners. The bathroom had a lighted make up mirror, and heated towel bar. The room had a coffee/tea making station, along with a iron/pants pressing station. There […] was a round table for snacks, and a safe for valuables. Breakfast had all the great traditional English Breakfast options, along with other choices too. Felt really welcome. Although having booked a double room, when asked if it were possible to have two single beds, this was arranged with no fuss--in fact I feel we were given probably one of the best rooms in the hotel. Had dinner in the smaller dining room. Excellent menu, fresh meal but rather slow service, a minor point really.

We attended a wedding in the area and chose Woodlands out of the suggested list and were very pleased we did, as it is in a fantastic setting. We were very well looked after and had a splendid breakfast that helped us recover from the night before.

While having breakfast, Joe (the guest services manager) stopped by our table and said that if we had a few minutes after finishing breakfast, he'd be pleased to give us a tour of many of the areas of the hotel. This private tour was one of the highlights of our trip and one we will remember for a very long time!

This hotel was everything we expected and more. The service from ALL staff was attentive, polite, friendly and created a very pleasant experience. The building was charming with lots of original features inside and out (including single glazed sash windows). The room we stayed in was spacious a child’s bed had been added for us yet there was still plenty […] of room to move around comfortably. The decor and furniture were outstanding, modern and clean, I loved the TV hidden behind the mirror. The bathroom was luxurious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and HUGE!! Breakfast was exceptional, plenty of choice, anything hot was made to order, the homemade jams looked delicious, complimentary news papers added to the morning experience. We only stayed one night in this hotel but were treated like Royalty. The hotel itself is full of old world charm yet the rooms are fresh and modern. The grounds are great and the staff are excellent. On arrival we had a tired hungry baby crying at reception and I was worried that we were annoying other guests. The receptionist skipped the formalities […] and brought us straight to our room so we could feed our child. At breakfast again the staff were most helpful and I wittnessed the Manager going out of his way to assist another family with further accommodation arrangements while they sat and had breakfast. We didnt get to eat an evaning meal but breakfast was vey good and it was the first time I have seen 'home made" baked beans which were excellent.
