Great pool and Tiki Bar, very comfortable beds, and clean. Free breakfast was great and worth eating. Pizza and McDonalds within walking distance and shuttle service was excellent. Staff is very friendly, and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I would give this hotel a -1 if I could I read some of the reviews and some were bad and some were good. So I thought I would take a chance and stay at this hotel for one night before going on our cruise. Now, I would like to inform people to NOT stay here. We arrived at the airport and called for the FREE Shuttle Service. We stood outside in 90 degree […] weather for an hour and HE NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! After an hour, a shuttle did show up for Best Western so we jumped in. Well it took us to the wrong hotel. The Hotel Best Western Plus Ft. Lauderdale Airport South Inn and Suites called the Best Western Plus Oakland Park Inn (talked to John). Made arrangements for us to get to the correct hotel. The service van called Eagle came to take us to the correct hotel. The service required us to pay him 60 dollars and that the hotel would paid us back because they provide FREE HOTEL SHUTTLE SERVICE. Well the General Manager that night (Mr. Coris - Who should get another job) stated that he did not authorize the service and would not pay us back. My husband said "I guess you don't care about customer service" and he stated "your right I don't" and walked away from us. I used to work in hotels and I have never seen a General Manager not care about Customer Service. Then on top of that the rooms smelled like mold because of the pool being so close to the rooms. No matter what floor you are on the pool is in the middle of the hotel. I am just glad that we just stayed one night. I WILL NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL AGAIN. The other hotel Best Western Plus Ft. Lauderdale Airport South Inn and Suites is a better hotel and the front desk people were helpful and made sure that we were taken care of. AAA needs to go back and review this hotel again because they are not a 3 diamond hotel. Continua a leggere

great place, took very good care of all our need's. Great pick for a cruse stop over. before or after a voyage.

Stayed prior to our cruise. I would definitely recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Convenient for shopping if, like me, you forgot last minute necessities.Thanks

Unfortunately because of a flight cancellation due to severe weather conditions in St.John`s N,L,Canada we were not able to make our hotel reservation until the second day,even though I contacted the hotel to inform them ,it was inside the 24 hour time period.I understand fully the hotel`s policy of non refund within the specified time period but because […] of severe weather conditions an exception should be made especially when I have a copy of the airlines flight status report.Otherwise my stay at the hotel was quite pleasant . Rented two rooms. One room was fine (clean, etc). The other room the toilet would not flush correctly, and tv remote would not work. Bar closes early, but was nice outside around the pool. Front desk clerk tried to be helpful, but simply could not keep up with the guests. Skip the breakfast, it was poor. We have only one negative comment and that is we had to wait almost two hours for a shuttle. I kept calling them and they said fifteen minutes. Another couple just walked up from the plane as the van was approaching and even got in the van before us. Not a pleasant way to start off a vacation.

The staff was polite. We loved the fact that including the stay, we had a shuttle from the airport and to the cruiseport. When we arrived at the hotel, we notice that the restaurant that was on the property was closed because of new management and that they were renovating. The shuttle driver showed us a restaurant that was 2 doors down and was open […] late night, FT. Lauderdale Ale House. Food was great, drinks were great, and the price was right. If you're going on a cruise and were told this hotel provides free shuttle from the airport and to the port, make sure your flight doesn't get delayed because they stop shuttle service and the hotel is so far away from the airport to take a taxi it costs over $30.00!!! Then you have a 20-25 minute ride to the port as well.

I've stayed at other Best Western Plus hotels, and feel this one does not warrant the "Plus" designation. Room was cramped, cheaply furnished and noisy, plus drapes opened to busy passageway, so we had to keep them closed. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good and plentiful. And the pool and its poolside Tiki bar were very good and somewhat secluded. […] Still, the extra daily "resort" fee stretched that term unreasonably. I am a 5* person but I could not see myself paying a lot of money to stay at a fancy hoel just for over night. This place was clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. Close hotel to airport and cruise port for your money. They picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at the crise line which was included in my room price. Great deal. We used this site as a jumping off point for a cruise. Free shuttle from the airport, then, free shuttle to the cruise line ports. Very nice . You should book your rides [ to cruise port ] as soon as possible after check in as seats are limited each time. The property is older but serviceable [ the wall A/C unit was a little noisey]. Do not expect a […] room till after 3 pm or later - busy place. Limited resturant choices with-in walking distance [ Place at hotel was closed when we were there]. Nice little bar at pool. Lots of people hanging around lot and hallways when I checked in at midnight. Concrete block walls in room with badly stained, old carpet even complete with a full wall mirror so you could watch yourself in bed (you draw your own conclusions to that). The TV remote even had a cloth condom around it???? When I tried to change my reservation the "no cancelation […] fee" quickly went out the window. Very loud car wash next door that opens very early. This hotel is actually quite nice, people work at the front desk is very helpful and very nice, but price is still consider a little expensive.

We spent a very pleasant three days. The hotel personnel from top to bottom were all extremely friendly. The rooms were well furnished (including refrigerator and micro-wave), the breakfast was fine, and everything was very clean. The pool and bar were attractive.

Hotel (really an old school motel!) was very old but very well kept and clean. The staff was very nice. Pool area was nice (especially the tiki bar!!). Free breakfast was very limited and not very good. Good location - close to everything. OK for a night or two, but would stay here for an extended stay.

The manager of the hotel drove the free shuttle from the airport and was very nice. Recently they closed the Mexican Restaurant that was next door but he highly suggested the draft haus down the street. We went there and had a very reasonable meal - seafood to ribs and great service. At the hotel we received free drink tickets and a very nice continental […] breakfast too. I sometimes stay in Four Seasons and yes it is a Best Western motel. But it was very, very clean. Convenient and Comfortable.

We stayed here due to proximity to beach and because they had shuttle to cruise ship. We are in our 40s, like to walk and explore. The hotel was about a mile from the beach and 30-40 minutes from the cruise ship. We walked to the beach which was located in more of a residential area so no outdoor bars to have a drink without walking another couple […] miles down the beach. Would have liked better beach access but for the hotel price - couldn't beat it. The beach was very nice. The hotel is less than a block from restaurants, grocery store, clothing store. Felt very safe walking around. The hotel has a little outdoor bar with an awesome bartender (she's really fun!) and where locals hang out - they were great to talk to. I managed (apparently) to book my husband and I in a room with 2 double beds instead of a room with a king and they wouldn't accomodate us to change it. That was the most disappointing part. The hotel has a run down feel to it. We never used the pool but area looked nice. Shuttle driver was great and very informative. He spoke a little too softly so sometimes hard to hear him. OVER ALL THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. AFTER 15MIN OF SETTELING IN WITH MY 2 KIDS, THE FRONT DESK RANG 2 MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OKAY. WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PRICE BEING THE LOCATION IT'S IN 15MIN FROM THE BEACH & A MALL ACROSS THE STREET. GOOD WORKING HOT WATER!!!....

The accommodations were spotless and a great launching place to Wilton Manors and a number of great restaurants and shopping. The pool and Tiki bar were very nice and the staff was very nice and hospitable.

Very nice hotel with a delicious pool. Good location for day-trips to South Florida (Miami, Evergalades,...). Only minus was thar we wanted an extra night at the hotel and we had to order via hotels.com at not at the reception to get the ebst price.

You may rent the room for a day but check in is not until 4 pm and then you have to check out by 11, so basically you stal there less than a day. Of course they do not let you know that until you get to the place.

Wow! This hotel has one thing super right... that has to be one of the cleanest rooms I ever stayed in. It is not fancy - nice, plain but surprisingly clean! For the price it is a great value.

The mexican restaraunt on the grounds was good. There is a mall within eye sight. The tiki bar is a good place to chill and the bartender is was down to earth and very friendly. Shuttle service from the airport and shuttle service to the cruiseport was great. Drivers were very friendly. I will stay there again if I go back to ft. lauderdale.

I think that the best thing that this hotel has is the location.. is great!!! The rooms are not so big, but has enough space, and is ideal for pre cruise travelers. it has a free breakfast that is very complete and it has free shuttle for any cruise you are gonna go. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE NEAR WILTON MANORS. GREAT POOL & POOL BAR. WALKING DISTANCE TO GREAT EATERY'S. WE HAVE STAYED HERE 2-3 TIMES USUALLY OVER 7 DAYS EACH STAY. IF WE HADN'T BOUGHT A TOWNHOME HERE THIS WOULD ALWAYS BE OUR PLACE TO STAY.

I WAS REALLY INPRESSED BY THIS FACILITY. GREAT POOL & POOL BAR. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS NICE. LOCATION CENTRAL TO EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY WILTON MANORS.

I am not normally one to complain, but this hotel is an incredible example of how poor owner-management percolates down to the quality of service. I was astonished when my wife, baby, and I -- travel-weary and arriving past midnight (due in part to this hotel's airport shuttle cut-off time) -- were not allowed to check out even half an hour after noon! […] At most hotels, it is quite standard to grant minor check-out extensions to latecomers. I asked the guy at check-in: he just plain said "no". The morning guy said "no, we're expecting a full house later". It turns out another guy admitted the hotel was under 50% occupied that coming night, and would definitely not fill up. But I'll give the rude, unhelpful and lying staff a break since it turns out the owner watches them on cameras like a hawk. They are scared of him. Too bad. To be honest, the hotel itself and the buffet breakfast were pretty decent. But I have low standards. I just warn you not to expect any extra assistance or flexibility from the staff. This was my first time at a Best Western, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I picked this place based on how close it was to where we needed to be and it appeared to safer and more secure than it's neighboring competition. The rooms were renovated and redecorated and included a little microwave and mini fridge. There were lots of mirrors and the pillows […] were comfy. These items helped to make the photos look very enticing. The center of the establishment had a clean little pool that we didn't get a chance to try. We did feel safe and there were no bugs. There was free WiFi, which was the best perk for us. That's about where the good points ended though. Rooms are very small because it's an old motel renovated. Bathrooms are super small and the giant exhaust fan located in the shower sucks the curtain in causing it to hug you while showering and getting water all over the floor. The tvs are old school and blurry and the closet door got stuck every time, and I had to be very careful with it because it was covered with mirror glass. The bed was overly firm, this is good for some, but it could has used a small soft layer. We almost overslept because the window shade blocks out all outside light. But the decorative shade is sheer and everyone can see in your room, totally okay for the exhibitionists out there. Complimentary breakfast was too early for us, 6-9. I stay in hotels in multiple cities about 6-10 times a year, all planned. I use hotels.com all the time for myself and family. And I sift through tons of customer reviews before every choice. This was by far my worst decision when it came to the value justifying the price. Continua a leggere

We can recommend this hotel.

Spent 3 days here prior to a Cruise and found it perfect. Excellent friendly people, super pool area, spotlessly clean rooms, comfy bed and absolutely no problems ... oh an Excellent breakfast to boot !

This hotel was very well maintained for an older property. The Tiki bar by the pool is a nice touch. The location was perfect between Wilton Manors and Oakland Park, and close to stores and restaurants. I would stay here again.
