Econo Lodge West Yarmouth

Già arrivando nel parcheggio dell'albergo si capisce quanto possa essere squallido...Ci è stata assegnata una stanza piccolissima (eravamo in 4) che puzzava da morire, sporca e grassa (c'era uno strato di sporco sull'unico mobile presente che diceva tutto)...abbiamo provato a farci cambiare stanza ma ci è stato risposto che purtroppo non era possibile, […] ci hanno dato uno spray antiodore e ci hanno promesso che lo avrebbero fatto il giorno dopo...considerando che in agosto non è che ci fosse molta disponibilità a Cape Cod abbiamo accettato, ma dopo una notte insonne (alla fine della quale non siamo riusciti neanche a fare una doccia per quanto faceva schifo il bagno) abbiamo deciso di andarcene, nonostante avessimo già pagato per 5 notti...dopo aver detto alla receptionist che prima di accettare il cambio avremmo voluto vedere la nuova stanza, senza batter ciglio ci ha offerto il rimborso delle notti non usufruite, a patto che Expedia avesse accettato. Fortunatamente viaggiavamo con pc al seguito e siamo stati in grado di chiamare il servizio clienti di Expedia, grazie al quale, abbiamo risolto immediatamente tutto. Sconsiglio vivamente questo albergo a chiunque, soprattutto a chi, come noi, viaggia con bambini. Inoltre, nel prezzo erano inclusi la colazione e l'uso della piscina, rispettivamente, una macchinetta del caffè nella reception e una vasca 2 metri x 1 metro... Continua a leggere

The service was excellent. I thought the shower could have been bigger and the room slightly cleaner, but the bed was large and the location is great, right on the main road.

I like a room which has a TV, comfortable bed and decent bathroom. This hotel had that plus a couple of very nice clerks who helped me with the check-in, check-out, nice breakfast, and some information I needed. It is not plush, and the bathroom sink had a broken piece which allowed the water to run down the drain, but it was clean and comfortable. […] My Golden Retriever was accepted, so it was a nice experience. Very good value with excellent management! Its location is right next to downtown hyannis and it has easy access to a lot of shoppiong and beaches! The service at the hotel was amazing and the staff was so kind! My room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was also good! i recommend this hotel to everyone!

We were expecting a bit more from the hotel in regards to cleanliness and comfort. It was ok. It did seem to attract some "rougher" patrons who didn't seem to adhere to noise levels all the time. Overall, for our one night stay, it was close to where we wanted to be, so everything worked out.

The room was disgusting and dirty. The comforters were stained and I won't walk around bare foot. It was in a complete state of disrepair. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This place is very outdated and falling apart. The staff is nice, but that doesn't make up for the paint peeling off of the walls. If you're thinking about booking, run the other way! This is the most dumpy Econolodge I have ever stayed at.

My fisherman friends and I are used to staying simple and roughing it, but this was DIRTY and not suitable...even for fishermen!!!!

I spent one night at econolodge , west yarmouth ,ma .it was my excellent stay.The room was spacious. comfortable , well appointed , the bed was really comfortable with lots of pillow ,its expanded cable was extra with lots of channel , really nice place i ever stayed for value of money. It was clean and the staff very nice. The only thing that I suggest is for them to remodel the room and put a microwave in the room.The bed was very comfortable.

The only thing bad I would have to say is the pool area. As long as you were in the pool, you were warm, as soon as you got out of the pool it was freezing. I don't think there was heat on in the pool area. You get what you pay for!

My room, though non smoking reeked of smoke. The "arcade" was two games. There is no indoor access to the pool. The pool had questionable items floating in it and the walls had holes in them make the actual area cold. After swimming (mind you, this was a Feb. visit) we had to run outside to get back to our room. 5 nights and the room was cleaning just for the second day. We had to went at front desk to requesting clean towels. Had no bar soap, no shampoo no conditioner. The next door people do not letting we sleep. The house kipping knock at the door at 9:00 AM on Sunday, and never coming to cleaning the room. Was the worse hotel staying.

The room had furniture to large for the space. The walls and ceiling were full of cracks. The sink drain was leaking directly to the floor. The shower floor moved whenever you moved. The ice machine was broken. They cleaned the room and left cleaning supplies behind and didn't swap out the dirty towels

Booked this hotel for my construction crew. We are never fussy about our accomodations, so I thought this Econolodge would fit the bill --- WRONG! Dirty / filty rooms, no daily housekeeping. Shower drain didn't drain, toilets were dirty, vanity sink didn't drain. If you like filth and bugs - stay here. Left one night early and the hotel would not refund […] my final night. I was so upset with my stay at this hotel. When I checked in the lady at the front desk was rude. My room was horrible, it smelled like urine. I immediately went to the front desk and the lady gave me another room but this room also smelled and was in horrible condition. I went to turn on the AC which caused the room to smell like smoke. Then the sheets […] were old and torn. Plus the bathroom was in horrible condition and the shower did not work properly. I was extremely upset with my stay here. I paid alot of money for a holiday weekend to stay at this hotel. I really should be entitled to a refund. I do not understand why this hotel is still open it should be shut down. We stayed for 2 nights, and the staff was very nice. The first night the room was a bit musty smelling, we complained and were offered another room, but it was smaller so we kept the one we had. The second night it was definitely cleaner. All you can eat breakfast, though you must take to your room. Bagels, cereal, coffee, mini-muffins. We have a small […] dog, and this is one of the few places that is pet friendly. We were there to go to the beach, and we just slept in the room, so it was fine for that purpose. The bathroom had hair in the bathtub when we arrived. We travelled with family and they stayed in the neighboring room. The fitted sheets were not changed previously and the bed had a disgusting smell to it..when we took the sheets off of the bed, there was a wet (urine-smelling) towel under the fitted sheet..the manager did not even apologize until […] the next morning...definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst motel ever! The rooms were in very bad condition. The "double" beds were so small that two people could not comfortably sleep on them. There bathroom looked like it wasn't cleaned properly as there were hair all over the place. The towels were hard and crispy. It hurt to wipe my face with it! The rooms reeked of cigarette smoke in the non smoking […] room. It stated that breakfast was included, but there was no coffee, no bread, no NOTHING. I've stayed here about 4 times now. If you read all of the bad reviews you would never stay here, however if you want the Ritz then go to the Ritz. If you want a place to rest because thats the only reason you need a bed, then this is ok. If you want somewhere that you want to stay in the room all day then this is not the place. I travel extensively […] with my job and have had much worse. I choose this place when i vaca on the Cape because they take dogs and its a friendly place, great location, no frills and gets the job done. i would continue to come here in the future. This hotel served our purpose of a place to sleep at night. We spent most of our time with our relatives at their more pricey hotel. We were only at the hotel to sleep and that was it. We wanted someplace inexpensive but close to our relatives. The front desk lady was kind and was accommodating when I asked for extra towels and pillows. The pool was […] covered which was disappointing. (eventhough I was told that if we wanted to swim they would remove the cover). My child swam in the pool at the more pricey hotel. This motel is very old and the rooms are very cramped. Our room needed new carpet and a bathroom upgrade. Our friends in the room next door said their two back windows were unlocked. Only good thing was it was quiet in the area when we tried to sleep and owners were pleasant. I would stay in a larger and nicer place next time.
