The hotel staff was rude at check in and when we could not get into our room due to the handle only worked one way which i believe to be a fire hazard. The stove and the fridge were out dated and was nervous to use them. This hotel was in a great location, it was right on the beach. There were lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and lots of things to keep the kids busy. I would love to stay at this hotel again, and would recommend it to friends and family.

When we pulled up to the hotel I was very disappointed based on what I saw on hotel.com and what the hotel and the room actually looked liked. During the two days that I was there I had to get a new iron and tv and I also had to complain about the noise. The "beach front" part is the only nice quality, and that's only because of the free beach parking. The lobby is clean, but the rooms, hallways, stairways, and broken elevator are NOT of good quality. The bathroom was horribly small, and our sheets were not changed, nor were our towels replaced/picked up. We will never stay here again. Myrtle Beach […] is great! We enjoyed our stay. Nice pool and beach area was very nice. Walking distance to boardwalk and other sites . Had a very enjoyable time.

Our hotel stay was not something i expected. To start off when we checked in the staff member hardly said two words to us, we didnt even know the hotel had a pool until we figured it out on our own. Then when we walked into the room it looked like it had been half cleaned and when calling the front desk they were supposed to send someone up and they […] never showed. This hotel seemed to be fairly clean for it's ramshackled condition, but it is located is a really terrible area. It feels like an inner city ghetto. It is right on the beach, but that beach was quite dirty and the clientel was, frankly, very scary. This is definately not a place for a family vacation. Awesome place to go in myrtle beach. great price especially for location and what is provided.

It was an okay place to stay. Nothing exceptional. We did have to change rooms after a nights stay, which was an inconvience. When we arrived, the room started to shake violently. I was told it was because of the laundry being done. It felt as though a helicopter was landing! All in all, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay, this will do.

The 3 days we were here was really nice. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean, the service was good..if you needed extra towels or anything the housekeepers would give them to you immediately. All in all...very nice stay! I would come back again.

Upon arriving I was treated extremely well by the staff and owners daughter/receiptionist. They noticed my Coast Guard ID in my wallet and, we had a long discussion about the Coast Guard and things to do in the area. They were super friendly! I felt the owners daughter (40-50 years old) was the motherly figure of the hotel right away. She told us to […] beware of the partiers and dare devils. As we walked to our room, the hall ways were littered with teenaged partiers. We began to think this was a bad idea. We arrived in our room and found it to be a fixer upper but, was suffice for us. The beds were comfy and the rooms temp was easily controlled with the dual AC's. The shower, we could never get to work right. It was either too hot or too cold. It would go back and forth between hot and cold. The parking lot is TERRIBLE. If you have a large SUV or truck, be prepared to use your girlfriend, friend or spouse as a spotter as you back out. Tons of blind corners and tight spaces. The partiers were surprisingly quiet at night. I think they got it all out during the day. Please note this hotel is not kid friendly in the summer/spring months. Although partially ghetto, this hotel has a lot of charm on the inside. We found this hotel to be very adequate for the price which was very competitive. The best feature was the attitudes and friendlyness of the staff. The room was clean and big enough for three adults on a short stay. My only negative was the small size of the bathroom but it was workable. I felt I received good value for the money paid. The pool and […] beach areas were attractive and clean. Pool was outside but heated. Outside trashcans were kept emptied and very little trash in the halls and public areas. I come down to Myrtle Beach every other weekend and this is the first time staying here. It will be my last. Check-in was good but the room was not at all what the photos showed. This place needs a lot of work. The bathroom is small. The TV is too smakk for the room of its size. I had a water leak at the door when you come into the room. The front desk clerk was ok except every tooth in her mouth was black from rot. Also a 4.28 MB was on on reservation and the clerk acted like it was a crime. The room was old and outdated, the cabnet holding the tv was broken and unuseable. Hair dryer falling off the wall, ac would not stay on during the stay, it was off and on all night long. Bathroom […] is very small, hardly room to get in to use. Paint on paint on rotted walls was all thru the room. Vandelized drink machines all over the property. Pool was ok but the hot tub was very dirty and not even hot. The breakfast offered was a joke, no good food and coffee was bad. Yes, the room cost was cheap but that was too much! No frills to this place, wish I would of read the reviews before making the decision on staying at this location. This hotel is not the the Ritz, but for the money it was an excellent value. The staff was very polite and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Very well kept up pool area and good location on the beach. I will stay at this hotel again when in Myrtle Beach.

The door knob to the bathroom was broken. The TV reception was all fuzzy. The parking was horrendous. The people at the desk were very nice. The rooms do not face the beach as expected. I heard traffic all night long outside my window.

We booked this hotel because it was a cheap hotel right on the ocean. The location is great. It is right on the beach. Has a nice walkway to access the beach. The pool was clean and nice but the hot tub was cold. The hotel is extremely dirty. The stairwells and elevator smell like urine and beer. I am not a picky person and can stay most anywhere, but […] this place was really bad. You could see daylight around our a/c unit. I had to fill the cracks with Kleenex because I was afraid a bug or mouse would get in. I took my friend here for her Army basic training graduation celebration. Very nice view from the ocean front room, and the split room with two Queen beds was a very nice convenience.

No maid service our last day. Hosts friendly. Room was adequate. Spa was green. Beach was the best part.

Well... ONly stayed one night..and it was winter.. MOST places were closed down...including hotel next door..so region a bit dismal.. BUT, hallways, stairways, etc, etc FILTHY...lady at desk said that they were "HOPING" it was being upgraded soon... I don't know what they charge in the peak season...but I would be dubious of very high prices...location […] good and front desk quite efficient.. I went for a long weekend with my boyfriend and we were impressed with our room and the service. The room was super clean the only complaint was the hair dryer did not work. I brought one just in case. the staff was super friendly and efficient. Any request was met with immediate response. David was the best.

First - the hotel is right on the beach, so in that respect it was awesome. Also, the bed was pretty comfy. That said, it is in need of repairs. The rooms were very dark and depressing. The carpets seemed super old and sand-filled. The sofa bed seemed to be missing springs or whatever is in it to the point that it was barely tolerable even as a sofa. […] On the back patio area the AC unit was very rusty and pieces were falling off of it (but it worked just fine). If I had kids I wouldn't have allowed them on the patio because of that hazard. The pool bottom seemed uneven and unnecessarily rough. The hot tub had no heat whatsoever. Our fridge did not work so we went to get ice from the ice machine and they were out of ice. The hotel was very inexpensive so we wern't expecting The Ritz. I would have rather payed more and had better service and cleaner room>

The beach front location was very convenient, and there were lifeguards. The hotel offers a modest continental breakfast, and is about a 10-20 minute drive to the inland attractions. However, the bathroom was small, and there appeared to be a large mold spot on the ceiling. Parking is limited.

Owners need to spend money to update this old worn out establishment. Rooms dark and depressing. Bathroom was very small. Swimming pool was nasty. Did not get in it. Front desk personnel were very friendly.

The size of the room and the location were great. However the appearance of the hotel and the pool were not what I expected. I did not enjoy my stay at this Days Inn. The maintenance was not up to par, hair in the bathtub when we got in the room,TV did not work, beer cans laying around on the property, and inadequate parking.

The room was good. It is wright on the beach. The only thing is it did not have a elevator. Even though the hotel is only four floors, when you are coming off the beach and your room is on the fourth floor, it was tiresome to get back to the room. besides that every thing else was just fine.

You could not swim in the pool because you could not see the bottom of it. No ice in ice machines all day on Sunday. The overall hotel was nice but the pool was a disappointment and not having ice in the very hot heat was very inconvienient.

Now I get that this hotel wasn't advertised as 5 star. No problem. The rooms were clean "enough" and comfortable for what we paid. The communication and leadership at this hotel leaves much to be desired. We were unable to check in on time (about 90 min late) It was explained to us a housekeeper left early not completing her rooms or others rooms. […] What was amazing to me is the manner in which it was relayed to me with no regard to my young children. Kind of matter of fact and no urgency to get the room ready while my children were out in the 95 degree heat. Then came the keys. We used no less than 9 different keys while we were there. Each time I presented the problem, I was given a lecture on how to treat the keys when we came to find out it was the battery in the key reader. The best was the next morning when I realized I had left something behind. I called the hotel to ask had the item been found and the clerk said she had to find the housekeeper who cleaned the room. She said she would call me back. Not trusting this would happen, I started driving back to the hotel. Keep reading, this gets funny. When I arrived at the hotel she said the housekeeper couldn't get in to search the room because the key wouldn't work. I mentioned my problems with the lock and she replied, "I wish you would have let us know!" It was all I could do to restrain myself from blowing up at that instant. I went to seek the housekeeper myself and as soon as she saw me handed me the item I had left. By the way, I appreciate her, and she told me nobody had inquired about it. I was very pleased when I arrived at Myrtle Beach and found that I had actually booked a room with an oceanfront balcony for the price I had. The place was very clean and the staff was courteous. Awesome Trip!!

We had a pleasant stay except it was Bike week, which has nothing to do with the hotel. I would stay here again. It is not bad for what you pay for the hotel.

To all: Forget the other post you have read on this hotel. This hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation. The moment we stepped out of our car we knew we were in trouble. My wife was trying her best to hide her disappointment and being the optimist she is found some comfort in the fact we had a great view of the ocean. The room was outdated […] I mean 80's style, wallpaper was peeling, the smell was unbelieveable, and the water temperature went from extremely cold to scalding hot while we showered.
