The room I stayed in for 6 days was not very nice. The air conditioning vent directly blows in ur face when in bed. The linens are poor. There is no maid service. Limited tv channels. The last day I was there the maid to clean the room before next guest knocked on the door repetitively and when I didn't answer actually opened the door forcefully. The Homestead is conveniently located to the Scottsdale Malls and nearby freeways. The rooms are a nice size with fridge, microwave, oven and flatscreen tv.

We loved our room. It was located on the ground floor as we requested. The pool area and BBQ and picnic area we're clean. I swam everyday. The pool could uve a few more table w/umbrella's. Great location, old town was with in walking distance, and the stadium was 5 minute walk!!!Scottsdale is a lovely city, very clean and friendly. At first arrival the hotel was just OK but considering we weren't planning on being in the room much we didn't think much of it. That was until we had to take a cold shower our 1st night. We thought it was because of a lot of people checking in and hotel being booked. Shouldn't be an excuse but gave hotel benefit of the doubt. Considering the elevators […] didn't work or the ice machine it should've been a sign. Our next evening after a full day of golf and heat we wanted to shower and again cold water. I called the front desk and was thrown off by how rude the front desk guy was basically telling me that it wasn't his problem and that I'd have to call hotels.com to deal with it. He then hung up on me. Luckily I always recieve great customer service at hotels.com and was able to make some agreement. The room was a lot smaller than expected, but overall it was very comfortable.

Carpet totally wet. Not told there was no daily service. Coffee maker non functional.

Staff was friendly and room was clean, which is really all that I ask for. It's a short walk to Scottsdale Stadium and Old Town Scottsdale.

The hotel is dated. Grubby!

We expected this place to be a dump, because it was the least expensive place around this area that we could find at short notice-we were only in Scottsdale one night, and didn't really care about the room because we wouldn't be spending much time there. the first 24 hours were terrible, musty smell I got an allergy flare up from the air conditioner. I had walked about five miles that day and the chairs were too uncomfortable to sit in. the control on the air didnt work, It reminded me of a small Japanese apartment. The Hot plate did not work and although I reported it the crew did not bother fixing […] or even to check it out ,before I left so I could not cook as advertized. the frig was on the coldest setting so it froze my salad. the toilet would run on after flushing. The hotel was convenient. The accommodation adequate. I did appreciate their local policy of collecting a $100 "security deposit" prior to registration, since I had already paid for the room. This requred me to wait to check out until the office was open to allow they to refund the security deposit.

I was on a road trip and was looking for a place in the Phoenix area. This is a great property in Scottsdale. Not near I-10 or I-17 but a great property! An extended stay style property it has a small stove & microwave & fridge - far more than I needed for my brief stay. The lobby closes at 10 PM but call the number on the sign and the night staff guy […] will check you in. Bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet as a tomb so sleep came easy. This is definitely a no frills location! EVERYTHING that you would expect as standard in a hotel is extra (or not provided). Rooms are clean and nice, but don't expect to relax in the tub (there are none), room service (without additional fee), or even a microscopic bottle of shampoo! Wiring service is available, but at a charge and provides connection […] speeds equivalent with 1980's dial-up technology. Though FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAILY charge, you can sign up for a slightly better service option. Staff is however very friendly and eating locations/entertainment is close by. Will visit next time stop by Scottsdale

This hotel is right around the corner from old town, perfect for walking. Right next to fashion square, food, you name it, perfect location. Very clean and beautiful room. The only problem was no shampoo provided and the bed was a bit hard. Will stay again!

I enjoyed my stay at the Homestead in Phoenix. The hotel is in a very good and convenient location which is close to the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in the Scotttsdale area. I used to be a Scottsdale resident and know the area really well. I always stay here mostly because it is affordable and close to everything I need. Its a clean, quiet (if you get in the back or middle) hotel. there is a free trolly that you can catch just outside that will take you all over Scottsdale. The neighborhood is safe and the staff, always […] helpful.. For the money, well worth it. The bed... a little hard but each unit is an efficiency perfect if you don't eat restaurant food. Very clean and comfortable Very TACKY charging for internet--cheap motels give internet free

Very nice room with full kitchenette, including pots, pans, dishes, toaster, coffeemaker w/coffee, onsite laundry. Very nice staff. Rates were incredibly reasonable especially considering the surrounding community. Walking distance to Walgreen's, Pizza Hut. The hotel is one of the nicer extended stays I have booked but the location is perfect if you are going to be in downtown Scottsdale!

I definitely would not recommend this place. It is not awful, but not very nice either. I was checked into a smoking room, although I definitely requested non-smoking. The front desk staff were friendly, and they tried to accommodate a change the next day. But by that point all my clothes stunk anyway. It is not too far from Scottsdale Blvd and some […] nice shops and eating places, which is about the only plus. And it was cheap, which is why I picked it for this particular trip. There was a "questionable" stain on the throw pillow in the room and no hair dryer, but everything else was really good. I loved the location and the kitchen space!

Located in downtown Scottsdale. Friendly service, clean room. (Small but Suite) I this is my second stay at a Homestead Suites - have been happy other than no blow dryer in room. You have to ask to use one. Both the front desk girls were great. I can only remember the check out girl - Natalie.

My daughter and I just spent a week staying at this hotel. I was really excited about the location and appearance of the hotel after I had looked at pictures online of this place. What is posted online is not what the hotel looks like--kind of deceiving. I was told by the manager and a clerk at the desk that the online pictures are of an Extended Stay-Deluxe. […] I loved the location of the hotel as it was close to the trolley line and we could walk to catch the trolley in Old Town. It also had an outdoor pool to relax in but the one table they had by the pool did not have an umbrella to sit under. Was it the worst place to stay--no! Have I stayed in better places--yes! While it is apparent this is a budget hotel it was well maintained and clean.

Overall for the price of the hotel, it was a good deal. The service staff was nice and the location was great. The only thing was that the fridge in the room was kind of loud when it turns on. Also, the bathroom sink drained very slowly. The walls to the hotel was thin, I could hear the people's conversation next door.

A great place to stay for a few days in the heart of Scottsdale.

Although the rooms are a bit small, they offer people an opportunity to stay in comfort and prepare their own food.

I was on the road alone and appreciated a simple room and good value.

A really good dollar value..excellent location for walk'n to and around old Scottsdale..I would stay there again..

Great location, great price. Don't expect anything too fancy but if you want something that's clean and just a block or two off the Old Town Scottsdale strip, this is the place. I was just there the one nite with some golfing buddies and it was the perfect functionality for us.

Had reserved a non-smoking room and only rooms available were smoking. They did allow me to check in early, but still was a bit unpleasant. Have stayed here before and generally happy with Homestead. It's reasonably priced and super close (walking) to Scottsdale Stadium for spring training games. Will continue to stay here...just hoping to have guarantee […] on the non-smoking. because of the low price, i really wasn't expecting much from this hotel, but i was pleasantly surprised. it was very clean and very comfortable. the room is small....maybe a tight fit for two people, but certainly adequate for one. the location is wonderful, if you want to be near old scottsdale and the shopping on main st. and on 5th avenue. if you […] are looking for a fine resort experience, this isn't your place. but if you want a sensible, comfortable room, this is for you. also if you want to spend your money on silver jewelery instead of a hotel room, sign up at this hotel.
