Parking is expensive but it is good value for money.

I travel to Vancouver often on business and have stayed at various hotels. This one serves all my needs just fine. It's clean, comfortable and is connected to Whitespot which is a great place to eat.

Very pleasant hotel in a decent location in Vancouver - within walking distance to all of the main attractions. Our room was very nice and the staff were pleasant. The rates are reasonable. We did have a big problem with the climate control in our room. The room was 26 degrees when we arrived. The air conditioner moaned and groaned the whole two days […] we were there and just couldn't keep up. It was like sleeping in a sauna. The windows are sealed shut and cannot be opened for fresh air. The staff promised to look after it (three times) but by the end of our stay nobody did - there were no maintenance people available. Too bad - it's a nice hotel but I'm not sure we would stay here again. Continua a leggere

Service were not matching promised. Lousy receptionist. Air condition is noisy and the strong cold wind right hit on your back if you sit in front of the desk. The bath room is under maintained.

Simple clean place to stay near the nightlife in downtown Vancouver.

Nice room. Very pleasant staff. Reasonable price. The hotel has a free shuttle to take guests to anywhere downtown which was very useful in the rain.

Room was so small for price. Too much construction .

Location could be better according to locals but we found it perfect, transportation and mall very nearby. The kitchen and all furniture looked like new. Friendly staff. We will stay here again and recommend it.

Very comfortable stay, however lots of construction noise which woke us up too early.

Helpful & friendly front desk staff. Immediate response to all requests prior to arrival. Taxis available outside hotel door. Public transport easy to use. Buy day pass at the store diagonally opposite hotel. Live music at pub across the road. Great entertainment on Saturday night. Easy walk to the water and to town for people of average fitness. I had booked a room with a kitchenette & kingsize bed and prepaid a month in advance. When I told them it was my birthday they upgraded us to the Penthouse Suite room on the top floor. It was great! They gave me a bottle of white wine on my birthday. They recommended a lovely seafood restaurant not too far away for my birthday supper and it was absolutely […] excellent! The hotel is at a good location, but there was a construction site next to the hotel. They started at 7.30. Staff is great, rooms very clean. Air conditioning very loud, could not sleep. Could not open any window for fresh air. Jacuzzi not clean, dirty towels everywhere, no clean towels to be found. Showers at fitness area very dirty.

The hotel itself was very good, the service, cleanliness and facilities were great. The hotel is in the south of Downtown Vancouver and the area is not great. There are alot of vagrants in Vancouver and some congregate nearby. There are a lot east of Chinatown. We found Chinatown rundown and not at all welcoming. Gastown is a much nicer place to go. The […] hotel is very convenient to get to Granville Island. You can either take a long walk over Granville Bridge or go to the bottom of nearby Hornby Street and jump on the little shuttle ferry. If you want to go to Chinatown, Gastown or Stanley Park, it is a long walk. The hotel provide complimentary bikes for the use of guests. I recommend wherever you go you take bikes, including on the ferry to Granville Island. The city is very cycle friendly and you can get around and see so much more on the bikes. A cycle around Stanley Park is great. We had breakfast included in our booking with the hotel. This is provided in the adjoining White Spot Restaurant. We strongly recommend this hotel. Very good value and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Although slightly away from the main shopping area it was very convenient for Davie Street which is a great area for good value restaurants.

This hotel served us fine but had a couple of negative aspects though not major. It was a fairly long walk to Robson St, and if you followed Granville which is another main street then you pass through one of the seedy areas with peep shows and homeless people on the street. The hotel offers a free shuttle to anywhere in downtown but when we wa nted […] to use it there was a two hour wait. Also the beds were doubles, not queen sized so it was a little squeezy for the four of us. Otherwise there was free internet and a nice hottub pool on the roof. I found this Best Western hotel met all our needs for our 4 day stay in Vancouver.Room was clean staff great 15min walk from city centre what more could you ask for the price Very good resturant attached for breakfast and dinner Great

Customer service at this hotel is the best. They really want you to have a good time and enjoy your stay. I will stay at this hotel next time I am in Vancouver!

There was some building work in the area at the time of our stay, but this did not affect our enjoyment. Half an hour stroll to Gas town and China Town, less to the shopping area - Robson St.

This hotel is located at a very convenient place. 1.It is within walking distance from Yaledown Station on Canada Line. 2.It is at the corner of Granville and Drake. Granville is a main street. There are many buses on this street. 3.The hotel provides a shuttles service for its guests. Upon request, the shuttle can take you to anywhere in downtown area […] for free. I communicated this to the management. I was troubled by having to sign a document along the lines that they were not responsible for anything going on inside including someone enetering my room. I then tried to us the safe and it did not work. A maintenance person tried to fix it and after replacing batteries it still did not consistently open. Being […] short on time for a dinner I passed on using it. The document set the wrong tone and then having an old and dated safe was the killer. I would not return. The front desk were attentive and did try to help and solve things but spending too much time on it left me with a bad taste. I think the equipment was old and not nearly up to par. Managment told me they were replacing them. I told them to get rid of the document as you have no choice once paid ahead. Continua a leggere

Parking was very difficult, and I was quoted it would be included and ended up paying an extra $13.00 for it. Otherwise it was an alright hotel. Not going there again though. Way too expensive for what you get out of it. I will stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel was just fine for our stay as we nneded to get our daughter admission to the local university in Vancouver. The only cost to us other than the accomodation is the parking charges for our vehicle in thwe underground garage.

After a long flight from Florida and an upcoming wedding of our granddaughter, we were a bit "slow" about working the safe and needed a little help with that and one or two other things. "Barton" to the rescue. What a handsome and courteous young man who is a definite attribute to any visitors to your hotel. Hotel was very clean, as was our room, and spacious. Our room was also very quiet. We pretty much walked every where we went, sky train was only a 10 minute walk away. Only complaint, if I may call it that, was that the strong air freshener scent in the lobby was extremely strong, and if you're scent sensitive, it was enough to take away my breath. The hotel was a good value and close to city tour arrangements and food. The neighborhood was very urban and not what was expected. It was a nice hotel and restraun ts were close. the desk staff were very accomidating. Hotel provided a shuttle to the cruise ship that was very nice.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and evey single time I would go up to my room I had to come back down for a new key, as they lock was not working properly. The front desk manager had made arrangements for me to talk to the General Manager, at check out, regarding a discount for my stay. When I called down to let the GM know that I was going to be […] down shortly I was informed that she had decided not to come in that day. What a complete disregard for customer service. I will not only not be a repeat guest at this hotel but will not visit a Best Western again...ever! The hotel is in a very seedy part of town and lots of beggers hanging around the front, so much that the hotel has a sort of security guard that sometimes hands out at the front door area at night. The second to the last night there was a prostitute being screamed and yelled at by her "boss" in a car right in front of the hotel and the security guard did nothing about it. We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Downtown Vancouver. Clean, well maintained, quiet, and a recommendation for the great restaurants at Yaletown, just a short walk away.

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel and would definately go again. I liked how the room had an ipod adaptor.

The Best Western Plus in Vancouver is one of the better values in downtown Vancouver. It is only a couple of blocks to yaletown-so you can safely walk for some night life if you want. The interior of the hotel and rooms are in good shape and comfortable. Hotel was exellent although the area surrounding it is generally rundown. Easy to walk to all shops.

Among others attributes the hotel and staff went out of their way to be of help as we needed to be driving our 350 Ford Pickup that could not fit in the under ground parking - they found outdoor parking for us.

The Best Western Downtown was an excellent choice, especially for not having been to Vancouver before. Conveniently situated Downtown Vancouver and close to pretty much everything you want to explore. The welcome at the hotel was just awesome and I immediately felt being looked after. The rooms are very clean and there's not a thing to worry about. A […] slight downturn was the hotel restaurant and the the additional facilities. The gym isn't much of a gym and I didn't feel comfortable using the jacuzzi. Apart from that, I will definitely choose the Best Western Downtown, should I be in Vancouver again. Continua a leggere
