The Highland Inn Atlanta

Sono stato in questo hotel sei notti, in un viaggio di lavoro. E' un hotel degli anni Trenta, ristrutturato, con tutte le comodità e un'atmosfera veramente gradevole. Il personale è sempre gentilissimo e disponibile. Il quartiere circostante è molto tranquillo e pieno di ottimi ristoranti e di negozi originali. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!

While the employees were very nice anf friendly the hotel is EXTREMELY OLD and outdated. It felt like a hotel from the 50's that had never been remodeled. The carpet was filthy, you could see through crack in the botton and tops of the doors, the old fashioned window AC was intolerable, and the bathroom was so filthy, I refused to shower until check […] out the next morning when I could find a more suitable hotel. We loved the hotel and there were so many shops and restaurants closeby that we didnt need to drive anywhere. We cant wait to go back!

Hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. While older, it is a clean hotel. Nice hotel for the money. I will stay here again.

sweet little boutique hotel a little difficult to find in the dark but worth the effort. Night receptionist very accomodating (arrived 24 hours early for extra night), room found with no drama and no room change for 2nd night. It is in a beautiful location, and the staff is very friendly. Its next to an awesome cafe, and downstairs is a lounge. The rooms are small, but since my husband and I were only staying the night it was perfect. Could use some updating, but they have wifi and great prices so no complaints from me!

Hotel is old but clean. Looks like the Titanic on the inside with a black cat running loose in the lobby. Hotel fits the neighborhood and is very close to sports venues which was great for us. Good stay for one night but not any more.

This hotel was perfectly located. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. I would definetly return to this hotel.

It would have helped if I had directions on how to get there from downtown by public transport. $20 for taxi was a bit much. On site availability of food is a plus.

I would choose to stay at the Highland Inn over a Holiday Inn anyday. The hotel was a charming and antique style gem with friendly and helpful staff that actually care about people.

Hotel staff is very helpfull.

I really enjoyed staying here. One of the family workers carried up my luggage. The attached restaurant was reasonably priced and a wonderful atmosphere and food. I like the layout of the Inn. It was pretty outside. A little worn in the bathroom but very nice and spacious suite.

I have to say that the staff was very friendly and open minded. Always were courteous and smiling. I stayed just for that. It is old house with very small bathroom. The worst part of my stay was having the shower, could not control it was either scalding hot or too cold. The only thing going for it is friendly staff and cleanliness.

It was GREAT, walls are a little thin but it was great, love the nieghborhood and the staff was very friendly! Would stay again!!

very friendly staff - rooms are very modest and are small...much like an old hotel you'd find in NOLA...but quaint and quiet. perfect little place for a weekend 'staycation'

Really beautiful hotel in a great location. We could walk to reasonably priced restaurants with our children and felt safe. Very close to all the Atlanta attractions we desired to visit. Room was adequate, but had the feeling of a European hostile. With some minor upgrades it could be extremely charming, but then they'd probably charge 3 times as much. […] Continental breakfast was very basic, but much like we normally eat at home, so again, it was enough. great place to stay. Felt like home

Hotel is old but quaint. Clean and bug free but a little dated. Wonderful people, pet friendly, near everything. Great place for the price.

Very nice and clean..older inn.. it reminded me of a bed and breakfast set up.. no elevator but only one flight of wide stairs.. nice biestro/bar next door where we had supper, staff was excellent... only downfall was my spouse is a diabetic and the contintal breakfast had no items for this.. maybe boiled egg and yogurt or somthing would help. Had a great overnight at the Highland Inn. I wish we could have stayed longer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Quaint rooms and atmosphere were just what we needed!

The Highland Inn was a great place to stay. The area is wonderful. The ladies that work there were very friendly and helpful. We would for sure go back.

Basic room, somewhat dated, but very clean. My room had next to no closet space -worked for me as I only stayed 2 nights, but would be nuisance for longer stay. Personnel very friendly, convenient location for downtown etc.

I would say the hotel is way better than expected for one of the cheapest places in the Atlanta area. The location was fantastic. In a small town feel suburbs of Atlanta. Next to great rest/bars/cafe's. The hotel itself was very old and almost like a hostel setting with private rooms. Everything was old but adequate and clean. Rooms have a/c that […] works and small tv's Not really a family type situation from what I could tell. They had a meager cont breakfast that might hold you over until 10am. I liked the location of this inn. It is located in a very quiet, safe area close to many restaurants, bars, stores. There are two buses which pick up/drop off passengers on N. Highland Ave. very close to this inn which is very convenient. I certainly enjoyed the very reasonable nightly rate and complimentary continental breakfast. The room was small […] but cozy for one person. It took me a while to learn how to adjust the water temperature in the shower just right. Also, the room was warm even with the air conditioning turned on. Next time, I'll ask to stay in a room facing the inner courtyard instead of the parking lot on the side of the inn. If you're staying at this place, beware continental breakfast ends at 10am. Also, they may not have any toiletries to offer you such as shaving cream, disposable razors if you need them. The front desk may not have change to use the washing machine/driers on the first floor. You can also ask the laundry staff for a cup of detergent if you need it to wash your clothes. This hotel has great character, very comfortable and relaxing. Quiet and great if you are looking for some R&R. Very welcoming and nice staff, location is awesome can walk to many venues.

This is an older hotel located in a nice neighborhood within a few miles of Atlanta. We chose it because its close to our son's apt. and therefore convenient for him to shuttle us around Atlanta. This is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at. It seems like a hotel from before 1950 that was classy then, which fits in with the neighborhood. I think it's a great buy for the price. The bed might be a little soft for some. The Cafe 640 next door is outstanding!

The Inn is low key, comfortable and user-friendly place. Although the room we were in was SMALL, it had all the basic furnishing for a brief stay. As old as the building seems to be, it was clean, quiet and felt safe. Parking can be tricky sometimes due to a sloped parking lot and limited spaces, but with patience all worked out. Fun place to stay ... great location.

It was good for the price. It is an older hotel, so dont expect new or modern furniture. It was very clean. Very nice receptionist. Also great breakfast set up. They have restaurant/bar connected to side which I thought was a nice place to chill. There were cyclist, runners, people walking pets which made a nice scenery. The employees are very nice. the hotel is clean. however, it is time to renovate it. i understand that the owner may want to keep the old fashioned architecture but renovation may increase the confort especially in particular noise from other rooms.

If you want fancy towels, linens and the feeling of being pampered, this is NOT the hotel for you. If you like renovated older buildings, exposed pipes and a friendly black hotel cat then you HAVE to stay here. The hotel is easy to find and is within walking distance to lots of cool shops and restaurants. Traveled to ATL for an interview, and wanted a place no more than 5 miles from the interview location. Found The Highland Inn, and although skeptical (due to the excellent rate,) forged ahead. It was a delightful surprise! The location was FAB, the resident kitty, charming, and the room clean, and un-fussy. Only wish that the breakfast had been a bit […] more fleshed-out. Self-service is best when participants are not required to try to figure out where things are kept. There was cereal, there were bananas, but the sign on the fridge said, "Staff Only," so I assumed the milk in there was off-limits. Came into town for two nights to see a show in the Buckhead area. The Highland was chosen due to it's location to several other points we wanted to visit while in Atlanta. This is a cool old hotel in an area that has a Bohemian feel with many little shops, night spots and restaurants to offer. Easy to walk to many and feel safe. Budget priced and comfortable. […] No real frills in the room just good clean accommodations for a good price. Very quant in a nice neighborhood and priced right.

This is such a cute hotel and at a great price! The location is great also! This hotel is by no means luxury but it is retro, cute, and totally great price! It was just what we needed for our trip!

nice folks. older place but interesting and close to all the "cool stuff". bathroom light was burned out , smoke detector was missing , t.v. didn't work but it was still a good place to stay and an excellent value. i would stay there again.

This was our second stay at the Highland Inn, and once again we were pleased as punch. The staff was super friendly morning, noon, and night. We had a double room, which was plenty big enough for two or three people. It is an older establishment with character. The location east of mid-town in the hip Highland area was ideal. Great palce. Great location. Great feel.

The neighborhood and the hotel was great and very charming. The only drawback was that the mattress was a little old and had a dent in the middle.
