The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. However the room was shabby, it also felt confined and closed in. The toilet was plugged upon first use. "over night stay"
My stay was ok but I felt as if one of the beds was possibly soiled. The beds were not made the same as each other and the one closest to the door when the covers were pulled back the sheets were ruffled and dingie at best. I COULD be wrong, maybe the house keepers set something on the bed after making it and disturbed the way the sheets laid. The Hotel […] staff was very courteous and the housekeeping staff was very friendly to my daughter and I. The staff also accommodated us while we were a little late to breakfast and retrieved us anything we wanted to make us comfortable which I appreciate because my 9 year old daughter is extremely shy around strangers. "More than expected"
I have to admit that my expectations were by far exceeded staying here. The staff is extremely nice and very accommodating. They greet you with a smile and have an upbeat attitude. If anyone is looking for an overnight spot this is a number one. The pool is a great place to chill!!

Not bad, I guess. A few things did bother me thou. i.e. Room key publishing machine was broke down. They did have it fixed with-in thirty mins., room cleaners where urgent to get in first thing in the morning, way before check out time. And the complimentary breakfest was awful!

Nice, clean and quiet hotel. Very large room and large bathroom. Very close to highway making for easy on/off. Nice breakfast choices.

I stayed one night here for a pharmacy school interview and it was fine. The road is funny because it has a barrier so if you want to go in the other direction then must go right and make u turn at light. Next, they made me sign an acknowledgment that I wouldn't smoke but when you walked into my room it had that manly smell of cigarettes and cologne, […] very faintly! "Nice room but...."
I could not turn on the air because the fan on the HVAC unti was so noisey that you would not have been able to sleep, or think. The room was so warm, Febuary Erie PA, that you needed the air flow...the rest of the hotel was clean and convienent.

This is the best pet friendly hotel we've stayed in. There's a good atmosphere. Everyone likes pets, the rooms are spotless and the desk manager are helpful and attentive. We wil return!
"Wonderful place to call home when away from home!"
We stayed four days at the LaQuinta in Erie Pa and it exceeded our expectations. The beds so comfy and I did not want to get out of it! Cleanliness, very clean and the staff were quick to respond to any of our needs! You get free vouchers to play at the casino every day you stay! The breakfast...for a continental breakfast it gets a 9 out 10, plenty […] to eat! If you left hungry it was your own fault! Bathroom was huge and met our needs. tough entering the hotel from the main road you have to go down to the light hit a left or u-turn and come back....other than that nice spot great for travelers

If you are a very sound sleeper, this hotel would be okay. For the rest of us, I do not recommend it. Any time a door closed on the hall, the noise reverberated into the room. Also it is located at the intersection of I-90 and a busy street, which means lots of gas station and fast food signs were lit all night. We stayed here from Nov.18 to Nov.20 - we went shopping in Erie and Groves Town, very close to Peach St in Erie, Groves Town is 1 hour away from Erie but it was super easy access. "Great value for a great price"
Not the cleanest or nicest hotel, but it was satisfactory given the price I paid for the night. It was cheaper than almost every surrounding hotel at the time. We were nervous about bed bugs because we have experienced that in the past at certain hotels, so when we got there we checked under the mattress and all the furniture and corners of the room. "why is this hotel so highly rated?"
We spent one night there and I don't understand why this hotel has been so positively reviewed. The main plus is that rooms are large, however the furniture is worn out (the sofa was pretty much destroyed and thus unusable) and the room is outdated. The corridor had not been vacuumed for some time and our doorstep was quite dirty. Breakfast was mediocre […] at best. The hotel would be fine for fifty dollars a night but not for the price we paid. "Good Hotel - Clean and Convenient"
This is only a 2 1/2 star hotel but it is better than average. The rooms are clean with a fridge and microwave. The staff is polite. We had the pool all to ourselves and it was warm and relaxing after a whole day off shopping. And you can't beat the location. Overall great value - we would definitely stay here again.
My only complaint was that the pillows were very firm. Other than that, the hotel was nice enough for the price.

Loved their pool after the long day in the car!
Comfortable and convenient. Went to casino and our daughter went to a concert downtown. Good location. Only drawback is it is a little tricky getting into the parking area from the street.

My husband and I were on our way to Niagara Falls and needed a place to crash for the night. I was on hotels.com and I couldn't find a hotel in Erie that had good reviews. We had never stayed at a La Quinta, so it was one of the last hotels I looked at. The reviews were good (thank you to those before us who had written reviews).
