£7 for parking! Had no bedding for the children so had to get some. Shower started to overflow, so had to have a shower under a drip!! we ended up asking for the parking fee for free for our problems which they did for us.

Great but only to stay for a night. Breakfast was not too appealing but edible. Could do better in terms of breakfast variety.

We stayed for two nights before our holiday and three nights when we returned. The staff are the most polite, helpful and friendly we have ever came across. The family room was both clean and comfortable. We will be using this Hotel when we are in Bham again. We booked 1 night room for 3 pax. However, the towels, drinking mugs etc were only available for 2 pax. Upon requests for additionals but never came. Also, the reception advised and helped us to order food from outside restaurants (no hotel food available as it's already 11.30pm) and confirmed that no additional charges apart from the stated prices. […] Then came the additional delivery charge by the restaurants. Excellent friendly service. Rooms always to an acceptable standard. Surprised that Wifi is chargeable.

Great hotel, especially just for a night on the way to the airport. The only negative is the £7 parking charge - even if you are a priority club member.

Excellent all round, happy, helpful polite staff. Hotel room great and communal areas clean and fresh. Breakfast very good and plentiful. Would happily go back.

EVERYTHING GENERALLY OK EXCEPT THAT A PARKING CHARGE OF £7.00 ON TOP OF HOTEL PRICE (WHATEVER BE THE PRICE) IS UN-REASONABLE. THE PARKING SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTARY IN THIS KIND OF HOTEL(S).

The hotel is clean and modern and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was decent and plentiful and the location is fairly convenient, though probably too far from the airport and railway station to walk.

Booked this hotel for overnight stay with my family. The hotel is very clean and staff polite. The bed was very uncomfy and the sofa bed made a noise every time my son moved. We were also right at the front of the hotel and there was lots of noise with peopel coming and going from the Airport, hence no-one had a good nights sleep. The hotel was great in every respect but one. We got a great rate, its close to the NEC, the staff are lovely, good breakfast nice room. Then on leaving we were hit with a £7 parking fee! This was not pointed out when we arrived - and to me its a rip off as there's nowhere else to aprk except in the hotel car park. I booked this through hotels.com before seeing review on other sites and got a bit worried I'd made the wrong choice. My manager mentioned she had been there and liked it so that put my mind at ease a little. I booked 2 twin rooms as wasn't sure how big the queen's were as in some reviews people had commented on how small the bed were and I thought […] it would be best to get twins just in case, therefore there wouldn't be a fight over space. We arrived on around 9pm on a Friday and it was very easy to find and very quick to check in. Our rooms were next to each other on the 3rd floor and they were very clean and we certainly got value for money. Infact I think that they were nicer than some other hotel rooms I've been to where I've paid more! We were able to move the twin beds together to make a large bed so we had loads of room. The beds were really comfortable and I think I got the best nights sleep in a while there! The bathrooms were great as the door into the bathroom could also be used to close off just the toilet so the other person could use the sink or shower while someone else was in the toilet. This was a great idea and was time saving getting ready in the morning. Breakfast was good. We got down about 8am and it was busy but a good choice of food. Only annoying thing was people queue jumping, hogging food, or serving up food for their whole family so you couldn't actually get the sausages/ toast etc. I think that was the only downside to the hotel, along with the fact you only got full fat milk in the room with the tea and coffee. I would have prefered semi-skimmed which you usually get, but next time I would pick some up on the way there from services. Some people did take the mickey though in the breakfast room and make lunch and filled up flasks with hot drinks while others were trying to get breakfast. Checking out was really quick too! I booked two twin rooms which were comfortable and clean, but alittle too warm. I had hoped to have both rooms near each other instead of on different floors which is the only complaint.

I stayed in this hotel for business. I was disappointed that there was no iron or ironing board in my room, I had to borrow one from the hotel. I was also very surprised that there was no clock in my room - it took a long time for the staff to scrounge one up for me. I'm glad I asked for one though and set my own alarm, as they never called with my […] wake-up call as requested. I couldn't figure out how the power worked in the room (there's a switch by the door, apparently, that controls the power for the whole room). I would have thought this would have been easy for the staff to explain to me but I had to wait for a maintenance person to come up. All in all minor issues that added up to a frustrating stay. The hotel wasn't as close to the NEC as we thought, it was close just that we thought it was closer. The breakfast was pretty poor - not much selection and even though there was 1 hour to end of service it was just dribs and drabs and wasn't being topped up. Apart from the breakfast the hotel was lovely, the room was nice too. We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. We visited the NEC then checked into the hotel on Friday afternoon, on Saturday we went into Birmingham to do some shopping in the Bullring complex. On arrival at the hotel, there were a few guests in front of us at reception however the staff were efficient and we were checked in quickly. As I had prepaid they asked […] whether I would be putting drinks on the room etc, which I wasn't otherwise they would have swiped my credit card for security. Myself and my mother were sharing a twin room. the room was a nice size, certainly big enough with a desk in the corner, tv on a turntable, clothes hanging area with suitcase rest, beside tables and a shower room. The room was decorated simply but tastefully and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the addition of pillows labelled 'firm' and 'soft' was a nice touch. The shower room was spacious, with a door which closed off the shower room entirely from the bedroom but could also swing and close off just the WC. This I thought was handy, certainly when sharing a twin room as someone could use the bathroom whilst the other person used the WC. The shower room was bright and clean with immaculately clean towels and shower curtain. The shower was also very good, nice power and constant heat. There was an Imperial Leather shower gel/shampoo dispenser in the shower and a Carex foam handwash dispenser by the sink. Soap, tissues, cups and facecloths were also provided. Our room overlooked the rear of the hotel where there were some car park spaces but also a grass area bordered by trees, this was also the grass area we found the breakfast room overlooked and it was really quite tranquil, you wouldn't have imagined the hotel was in such a busy area with the roads and airport. I watched a fat squirrel running about on the grass from the room and he was still there when we went down to breakfast! Excellent hotel - welcoming reception, clean room, good bed. The only negative is the food, which was ordinary. Overall experience really good! This is more like a 4 star hotel.

Have been staying at this hotel for some years now and am never disappointed.

My stay at this hote was as good as any other Holiday Inn that I have stayed at. My only disapointment of my stay was that the Staff was slow in keeping the breakfast buffet selections trays filled so my breakfast was without such things like, Beans, Bacon, Tomatoes and Mushroom. Great for an overnight stay for NEC events. Surrounded by dual carriageways/motorways so you have to drive for a decent resaurant etc. No restaurant. Breakfast basic but acceptable.

Although the room was on the small side, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and lighting was sufficient, unlike another hotel in the area. Our room was on the ground floor and next time, I will request a room on an upper floor as we were too close to the bar/lounge area.

The hotel was quiet, clean and very conveniently placed for the airport. Good meal in restaurant next door Excellent place to stay before a flight.

I stayed one night with my boyfriend before catching a connecting flight. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

We stayed after a long flight and were very satisfied with the hotel. Being surrounded by trees and grass and away from the road, it was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable (v. important!) and the room/bathroom was modern and clean. Digital TV/Hairdryer/Coffee+Tea. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Este es un hotel ideal para quienes vayan a participar de una exposición en NEC. Esta muy cerca del predio de exposiciones. Aunque lo ideal es alquilar un auto ya que les permitira moverse con mas libertad y conocer un poco mas del lugar que es muy lindo. Es estacionamiento es gratuito para quiene se hospeden en el hotel. El único punto negativo es […] que no tiene internet libre y me pareció muy caro la tasa para poder conectarse. Por ser un hotel que alberga personas de negocios debería tener internet gratuito, como ya lo poseen hoteles de menor categoría en todas partes del mundo. Continua a leggere

Während unseres Aufenthaltes im Rahmen einer Veranstaltung im NEC ist dieses Hotel empfehlenswert. Bereits im Hotel konnten wir andere Teilnehmer treffen und die grosszügige Aufenthaltshalle (wo auch das Frühstück eingenommen wird), bot genügend Platz! Eigenes Essen oder auch Delivery-Services konnte dort eingenommen werden. Der Transferservice fiel […] aus. Auf Nachfrage wurde jedoch ein Taxi gratis für den Transfer zur Trainstation/NEC gerufen.
