"A pleasant stay with pros and cons"
The hotel has a beautiful view on the river and it's easily accessible by the Hibiya line (4min walk), Asakusa line to the 2 airports (10 min walk) and you have the Ginza shopping district at 15 min walk along with the Ginza and Marunouchi line. The staff doesn't speak too much English but they go the extra mile to try to help you nonetheless. The twin […] room I got was cosy, always clean and had a massage chair. The TV doesn't have any English channel. The description on here is misleading as it mentions a fitness centre available nearby at a discounted rate: well not really. There is a Gold's Gym in Ginza (15 min walk) that charges 3000 Yen for a single entry and that's the gym the hotel suggests. However there is one next door (literally), called Oasis, that charges 1575 and has great amenities like a virtual golf course, a bathing area, swimming pool etc. if you are having fun in a club the last train to the area is at 00:06 from Shinjuku. Taxi from the airport to the hotel is around 8000/10000 Yen, train via the Asakusa line is 590 from Haneda and around 1000 from Narita. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com
"Ginza's hidden gem"
This hotel is conveniently located about 3-4 blocks away from the Tsukiji metro station, near several 7Eleven's (including one at the hotel along with a McDonalds) and only 1 metro station away from the ritzy Ginza district of Tokyo. My room was located on the 34th floor of 38 floors and had full view of Tokyo Bay and the Tokyo Tower. The bed and pillows […] were super-soft and comfortable; perfect for a good night's sleep coming from Vietnam before returning home to Miami. I call this hotel a gem for the proximity to the bay and unbeatable views for the price, room comfort, metro stations and front desk personnel. Also adjacent to the hotel is the world famous Tsukiji Market and the many eateries within the market as well as enroute to the hotel. However, I must mention two minor areas that need improvement and hopefully the hotel management will take notice and do all possible to correct... #1 Lacks English TV channels (I am aware I am in Japan and thus the television will be Japanese but this hotel lends itself to business travelers so the variety of TV channels should be present) #2 English translations (The room had a massage chair but the controls were written in Japanese. Also, there was an in-room massage menu written in Japanese as well) These I minor items but it would be a great plus should there be at least one or two English channels; even if it is CNN. "Excellent hotel"
Very friendly staff, very helpful, beautiful rooms, and a great view. Just a stone's throw away from the Tsukiji fish market, which is walkable. Nearest metro station is about a 7 minute walk. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel, especially for the price.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
We had 5 nights at this hotel at the start of a very long trip - we were very happy with the location - not in the busiest parts of town yet easy to access all the sights. Hotel in good condition and the views from the room were superb. Felt very safe walking around in the neighbourhood.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
"In need of an update and dissapointing"
I was somewhat disappointed with the Ginza Creston. It is a nice enough hotel but it is definitely in need of some updating. The view of the river from our room was nice however. It was definitely out of the way in terms of being around the nightlife and dining areas. If I had it to do over again I would have stayed somewhere in Shibuya or Shinjinku. […] Subways only run until about midnight so once back in the area there wasn't much to do. Although if you do stay there, there is a great dumpling place across the street from the Denny's (I have no idea what the name is but there is a dumpling above the door). The guys there are very friendly, the good is good and I recommend trying the makgeolli with peach and soda (it is a rice wine). Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com
"Nice place to stay"
The room was a good size that contained a large queen bed which was comfortable, adequate toiletries and tea making facilities. The hotel catered mainly for the Japanese so there was very little available information in English , including the television (all channels were in Japanese). The location is a bit out of the way but very close to the fish […] markets and a 20 min walk to the Ginza shopping precinct. There is a fantastic view of the Tokyo skyline, our room on the 36th floor faced Mt Fuji. There is no wifi in the room but it was available in the lobby. "Great hotel away from the crowds"
Hotel occupies the 32-38 floors of the St. Luke's Tower on the Sumida River. Staff was friendly and helpful, although concierge services were limited because of the their ability to speak english. Rooms were large with stunning views of Tokyo/Tokyo Bay (depending on room location). Twin beds are actually "doubles" in the US, so a little wider. Firm, […] comfortable and very clean. Useful if sharing a bed with or between small children. Bathroom also very clean with a nice tub and water that gets really hot. Your own Japanese bath! Standard amenities; no english language TV channels (but who's there to watch TV?); free, high speed ethernet access in the room, but no wireless. I took an Apple Airport Express and set up my own wireless network. Need to renew hotel usage terms every 24 hours, but it worked like a charm. 7/11, McDonald's, Subway, a coffee house and a few restaurants (katsu, chinese, sushi) in adjacent tower lobby. Hotel restaurants also, but we chose to eat out. Not much in surrounding area so venture out into the surrounding Tsukiji or Ginza neighborhoods, which are within walking distance (15-25 minutes) or a stop or two away on the subway. Also, there is a cabstand next to the hotel that always had a waiting taxi. Quick 15 minute access to the TCAT and the airport limousine. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia
"Close to Fish market and Ginza shopping"
We were very satisfied with the hotel. The staff went out of their way to assist us at all times. The hotel was conveniently located just a short walk from the Tsukiji Fish market, an being a sushi lover, you couldnt get fresher food. Cab drivers had a tough time understanding us, so finding the hotel was hard at times. We don't speak the language though. […] Even showing cabbies the actual name and address in writing seemed confusing unless it was in their native characters. Great Hotel for the price! Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Quiet but still central"
Not ideal for a first time traveller, as nearly everything is in Japanese and geared to local guest. However for those not bothered by such there is a wardrobe, good bathroom and some room to swing the cat. Did not eat in-house and nearby there are few restaurants (head to Tsukiji tube). Only 20 mins from Ginza where life starts. I enjoy walking as […] best way to take in the ambiance which is quiet and a little off the beaten track. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Hotel New Hankyu Tsukiji-Great city views"
My wife and I found the New Hankyu Tsukiji to be a very comfortable hotel. It is located in the Tsukiji neighborhood only about a 10min. walk to the famous fish market and the subway. Our room, 3717, was a corner room on the 37th floor and had wonderful views of the city and the market. Unfortunately it was overcast/rainy/cloudy the 3 days in early […] March we were there otherwise the views would have been spectacular. At about 300 sq. ft. the room was a little tight but still large by Tokyo standards. The wi-fi was free with a cable provided in the desk drawer. The massage chair was a bit thin in the cushioning department but it could work some kinks out if you gave it a chance. No instructions in English for the chair so trial and error is the way to go. The Japanese fancy toilet is an experience all it's own, just follow the little pictures and enjoy. The tea service was refreshed every day and new robes were laid out. We cleared out all of the stuff provided in the fridge and bought our own at the 7-11 on the ground floor,(milk for the tea, some donuts to have with etc.). There's a McDonalds there too if you must. We did not eat at any of the restaurants in the hotel as we found dining options elsewhere. The staff spoke English were very helpful with directions, calling a cab for our departure and laundry service, ( a little pricey but oh soo convenient, they deliver the cleaned laundry to your room.). The only thing I would say to watch out for is the step up into the bathroom. Our room had a 2" step to get into the bathroom and if you forgot it was there, as I did only once, WOW such a stub you could give to your toes! Not to mention the possibility of flying headlong into that fancy Japanese toilet. That one caveat aside I would easily recommend this hotel especially if you are going to do the fish market. Tip: Get to the market BY 5 AM, we got there at 5:15 and were too late for the tour. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"spacious for Tokyo"
The room was spacious with a sofa bed that fitted 1 person, also a massage chair which was a lot of fun. It seems in Japan there are 2 sizes of bed, King or Queen, which are basically the same size as a USA queen, and twins, which are the size of a USA full (can accommodate 2, and perfect for 2 kids, or an adult and kid, or 2 adults of regular size). […] The staff were very helpful and polite,as I found all Japanese to be, and the place very clean. Small fridge, tea/coffee, and amazing view of the river - probably one of the nicest views you could ask for in Tokyo. There's a McD, and 7/11 right next door, plus about 4 restaurants, as there are office workers in the adjoining building. There isn't really any other shops or restaurants immediately around the hotel. Personally we found the convenience stores like 7/11 and family mart throughout Japan great to get things for breakfast, or a bite for lunch. There was a restaurant in the hotel, but like most hotel restaurants it was more than we wanted to pay so we didn't visit it. The only thing that would prevent some people from wanting to stay here is it's convenience to the train or subway station. It is about 10-20mins walk to Tsukiji station, probably the nearest - but in the morning the walk along the river side is pleasant, and you see so much by walking so it suited us fine. To walk to the Fish market was about 10 minutes, and that is a definite must to go and visit. Personally I'd stay there again, and enjoy being made to walk a little before getting on transport, as that's when you see more of the real city, other than the tourist spots. To find a hotel room to accommodate 4, like this one, is not easy to find. Continua a leggereRecensioni obiettive Hotels.com

Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
