Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 25 feb 2013La posizione è stupenda in quanto si trova direttamente di fronte a Central Park. La nostra camera era veramente spaziosa. Per la colazione è meglio premurarsi che sia già pagata o meno altrimenti viene addebitata sulla camera e poi bisogna spiegare che era già pagata. Attenzione al frigo bar, ogni tanto caricano sul conto consumazioni non fatte. Nel nostro caso, dopo una breve spiegazione, hanno provveduto immediatamente a cancellarla dal conto finale e senza fare troppe storie. Il personale è stato gentile a parte qualche cameriere un po scorbutico durante la colazione ma con il quale abbiamo subito chiarito, parlando noi un buon inglese.

"Appena passabile in relazione al costo"
Il secondo giorno non hanno rifatto la stanza; il terzo sono venuti alle 4 del pomeriggio, dopo insistenze. Nonostante non fosse vecchio, aveva già alcune cose deteriorate, come le prese. Il frigo-bar era rotto, l'abbiamo segnalato, ma dopo 4 giorni nessuno era venuto a ripararlo. La dotazione di asciugamani in bagno era piuttosto scarsa, la stanza […] era una doppia ma c'era un solo accappatoio. Siamo sempre usciti a fare colazione tranne una mattina che pioveva veramente troppo, e in albergo la prima colazione era ridicolmente costosa. Le finestre erano a un solo vetro, e non chiudevano neanche bene; abbastanza rumoroso. La sala fitness era uno stanzino cieco, con una puzza tremenda di chiuso. In conclusione, non all'altezza del costo, nemmeno se acquistato con lo sconto di Expedia. La posizione era comoda, molto ben servita dal metrò, l'unica cosa che si salva davvero. My partner and I have stayed in Thompson Hotels all over the world, so we were incredibly surprised to be so let down by this dud of a property. Let me tell you, the lobby is gorgeous and its hotel bar and restaurant are extremely well appointed, but the rooms in this location are bland, boring and not worth the money. We also had problems with one […] very rude front office staff, and housekeeping. (We were told they had problems with too many late check outs, and not enough cleaning staff--- that is why our rooms wen't cleaned until at least 5 pm one evening, and don't even think about an early check in --despite what they may tell you in advance.) The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very kind, the location is excellent but hard for car service to find because the address is not accurate for the front entrance. I've stayed at this property twice now. First time the staff forgot to call to wake me up two days in a row! They have an antiquated wake up call system -- the staff does it, but they […] are never on time with it. First time they were a half hour late, second time a full hour late. This most recent time I stayed there, the staff was 10 minutes late with the wake up call. I will bring two alarm clocks if I ever stay there again. From the time I was met by the Valet, until the time I checked out, leaving the Valet - my stay was solid. Great location for the purposes of my downtown business trip, staff was courteous and very helpful throughout my 3 day, two night stay. "Fine place to stay for the right price"
I like the feel of the hotel and the amenities were fine. There is a feeling of a being in a european hunting lodge. The only issue was the bathroom door is somewhat see through and this made the female members of the group uncomfortable. The hotel is in the finacial district and there isn't to much to see around it but is not too far from the subway. As per usual a good stay at Gild Hall. On this occasion there was a water leak from the bathroom in the neighboring room which cause a small section of carpet to become damp. "Great Place to Stay"
My husband and I spent the weekend in NYC. Our purpose was to see NYC as opposed to remaining in a hotel room. The Gild Hall was so close to restaurants and diners; all open as well as the subway. We really enjoyed our stay there. And yes, even Starbucks is 10 seconds away! My only complaint is one expressed by many. The door to the washroom is not […] a solid door. "Good hotel for couples."

"Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!"
We usually visit NYC 2 times a year to take in a show and dinner, so we stay near Times Square. We stayed at the Gild Hotel due to its proximity to a family wedding.. "An uneven experience"
On the one hand, the linens and the plush robe were just what we expected for a boutique hotel. On the other hand, when a boutique hotel lists as one of its amenities the brand of shampoo, etc. that it provides, one expects to get more than just shampoo and conditioner--there wasn't even body lotion! We chose this hotel, in part, because of its on-site […] restaurant: we are informed upon arrival that it is closed in anticipation of a new restaurant coming in: since the hotel had our email address, a heads-up would not have been much trouble for them. The room lacked a coffee-maker--how can that be in this day and age!?! Again, for its luxurious build-up--we got exactly 2 towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The site said turndown service. We asked for our room to be refreshed after 4pm--that happened, but not turndown service. The ice bucket--a glass container, not insulated that held less than 2 cups of ice. "Great Experience!"
This was a great hotel. Beautiful and masculine which is unusual. The service was excellent and I would certainly stay again. Financial district does not have a lot going on at night but the hotel has a nice bar and the south street sea port is near as are multiple train lines.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Bathroom"
The hotel was really nice... My only thing I did. It like was the glass doors for the bathroom... I kind of like my privacy... So we had to take the throw blanket connected too two hangers and use that to cover the doors...Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
