"Great outside of town hotel."
Had some issues with communication on check in, but staff was quick to correct everything when asked. The cleaning staff was very polite and came when we asked and left us alone when we asked. The room was clean when we arrived and the grounds were well kept in general. The pool was locked and we couldn't even get in the area to sit in the sun. "Comfy beds, close to good hikes"
Good: price, nice beds, fridge and microwave in room, entire property is clean and well maintained, lots of (free) parking, staff were very helpful. You can easily walk to the Capilano Pacific Trail and up into Capilano Canyon. Quibbles: We booked the room for 3 adults and there were 2 towels in the bathroom, 2 coffee cups etc. Front desk cheerfully […] got us more, along with plates and glasses and forks, but that was a little weird. The room was clean but as we were leaving we found shoes under the desk which didn't belong to any of us, meaning we hadn't noticed them when we arrived. "More than I had dared hope"
This hotel was great! Clean, cool, comfortable. The afternoon/evening front desk guy was great! Bath tub was small and parking lot squishy but really that is the only thing I can think of to complain about. The continental breakfast was perfect. Wifi was strong. Pleasantly surprised. The outside is a little rough, the outdoor pool was closed (it is February) and is on a busy street. But, for the price a great value. It was close to were we needed to be. The rooms had a microwave AND fridge AND coffee pot. Plenty of room. Usually do not get that these days. The FREE continental breakfast included self-made waffles, […] eggs, sausage and hash browns. Plus all the usual continental fare. That alone paid for one of the 2 rooms for the 6 of us. I didn't expect the Hilton, just a good value for the night. And the North Van delivered. Thanks. "More than pleased with this place."
For a no name hotel, I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the towels and sheets to the service. We had a Lab so we were given the room for pets. Before we arrived, we figured it would be smelly and an unpleasant room. To our amazement, it was very fresh and clean. I not sure about this hotel's track record, but from my experience, this place exceeded […] my expectations and sure beats some of the more well known hotel chains. "Okay for one night ..."
Not that bad of a motel - I've definitely been in worst ones. This is an old motel that needs more than simple remodeling. While the rooms were clean and the staff nice, the wing where our room was was no longer level ... I mean the floors (2nd floor) was leaning to the south. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We wanted a nice, comfortable place to stay during the night and out seeing the sights during the day and that is exactly what we got! The staff was kind, courteous and accomodating! The breakfast was nice and hot and the pancakes were delicious! "Good but noisy"
The hotel is conveniently located for getting around North Vancouver and easy to get on the bridge into downtown Vancouver. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is decent with both hot and cold items. The room itself was clean and nice smelling. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and adequate. The ONLY drawback, […] and it was huge was the noise from the traffic most of the night. Being located on a busy road at an intersection on a hill, the cars were stopping, starting and changing gears all night. As far as I could see, there would not be a room in this hotel that would NOT be affected by traffic noise. If you are a sound sleeper this hotel would be perfect for you. "A nice weekend away"
It was a good weekend away the staff seemed pleasant enough, altho on the Sunday morning there was no ketchup to have with the sausages and eggs which was a bit disappointing. Also the breakfast area is very small.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Not a good experience"
Noisy --- the hotel is not soundproofed. We were on the bottom floor and a high school volleyball team was above us. We contacted the front office but they didn't do anything about it or if they did, we couldn't tell because it still kept us awake. Breakfast was tasteless and busy. No bathtub - just a shower that had no shelf for soap/hair products. […] Receptionists were unwelcoming, unsmiling and left us with the impression that because we had booked with Expedia, we were second-class guests. When we asked for dinner suggestions, they didn't seem to know the area at all other than referring us to Earl's around the corner. Also, the room had two beds but only one chair --- both couldn't sit at the same time ... one had to be on a bed. We have stayed at the Best Western a few doors down in the past and will stay there in future. This was not a pleasant experience.
