I booked this room for 5 people on our way home from Florida. They gave us a room with 2 double beds. I asked at the front desk if there was a couch or rollaway available (since they knew from our reservation that we were a group of 5 people) they said no --all the rollaways were already gone. My husband ended up sleeping the night on a cement cold […] floor. I am very disappointed in the fact they knew 5 of us were coming and assigned us to a room that could not sleep that many. On the way to Florida we booked a 2 double bed room slightly less expensive at Hampton Inn and it had a small couch in the room for the extra person. Continua a leggere
"Terrible"
Pick the hotel because pool was open late. Pool was cold and very dirty. Very disappointed for the money we paid for one night stay. Thought the pool would be nice after a long day of running. Very disappointed. Have stayed nicer hotels for cheaper. Thought paying the more money it would have been nicer.

I had an excellent stay. Employees were kind and helpful. The breadfast provided a variety of good food.
"Pool area"
The poll area floor was in poor condition. The paint was peeling onto our skin, and to our towels after drying off. Also was getting into pool, from kids getting in and out. This, was very disappointing!

The Holiday Inn Express in Scottsburg was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We will definitly stay at this hotel again.

From the manger on down, very friendly and helpful staff; room was spacious and clean, breakfast all you could hope for.

We arrived late so we were unable to use any of the extras the hotel had to offer. There was a problem with the TV at first but the front desk was able to assist; but did offer to move us if it couldn't be corrected. Breakfast we great and food was plentiful. We accidentally left new purchases from the outlet mall in the room. When we called 5 days […] later our packages were still there and they gracious enough to mail them to us. Very friendly staff. "Where's my non-smoking room?"
Stayed at the HI Express in Scottsburg over KY Derby weekend. We had reserved two suites which were to be non-smoking rooms. Upon arrival were told that only one non-smoking suite was available, the other suite would have to be a smoking room. We opted to take one N/S suite and one standard N/S room. When we walked into the suite, it smelled like a […] smoking room. We found cig butts in the bathroom waste basket, like someone dumped an ashtray into it. Complained to the front desk and they said that it was a non-smoking room but that they would have the room cleaned again while we went to dinner. It was a little better after cleaning but could still smell cig smoke. Also had to remind them to adjust the room rate for the standard room we had instead of a suite. Continua a leggere
"Exceptional circumstances..."
I would love to say that this was a great stay, however, weather was a major factor. In that a tonado hit the location the night prior to our stay - there were many factors to contend with. Partial cable/satellite service, no pool heater, no access to exercise room, no computer check in. I had made this reservation on line and once we arrived would […] like to have cancelled in that we came for pool usage - Easter present for the kids! But, with no computer access from the front desk we were "stuck". You can imagine the let down this family get-away was. "Not worth the money..."
Overall quality was mediocre at best. Service was polite but often unprofessional with resolving the issue that required their assistance. Room was ok but certainly overall was not worth the money.

"This place is okay."
No bedbugs. Clean enough. Was disappointed that all rooms didn't have a fridge and microwave. Had to move to suite for those, at extra cost. But overall very happy.

Wonderful people working behind the counter. Really fun and friendly! Cookies are available at the desk at check in. Room was clean and neat. Best shower head anywhere! Other travelers lodging there were very pleasant as well. Wonderful breakfast, with best cinnamon rolls anywere! We were visiting our niece @ Hanover so there was a bit of a drive each […] way.
