Stayed out of Charleston down town because of price and I was a little afraid about the flexibility to go down town and to the beach and things. This hotel is great for this. There is a free shuttle down town that will drop you off in the middle of all the great bars until 11:30 at night, then a short cab ride home is only a $10-20. "Weekend in Charleston"
I have family in Charleston and visit here often. This is a great location, 8 min from the attractions of downtown. Overlooking a marina. The price I got was a bargain. Breakfast was above average for a hotel "free" meal. Very close to College of Charleston.

Loved everything about the hotel expect the guest washer and dryer. I wish that such a nice hotel would invest in a washer and dryer that worked a little better.

"Close to river"
It was close to the river, but not quite close enough to walk to the downtown area, however they do provide a shuttle to downtown and it is only a short drive away. The view of the river was pretty and the breakfast was tasty. I would recommend this hotel.

"Nice But hard To Find"
First off the room was nice and the employees were very helpful. The bed was comfy and the noise was low (only thing I heard was the airconditioner). The only real problem I had was finding the hotel seeing as I am not familiar with Charleston at all I found myself driving around in circles trying to get to the Hotel even with a Garmin (telling me I […] am going the wrong way or telling me to go a way I can't go physically). The check was the WORST I have ever experienced! Slow, disprespectful, awful. And the Management is no better. I called and emailed my concerns to the General Manager - never heard from her. So apparently no one there cares about customers. Will NEVER stay there again!

Don't really have an issue with the hotel, per se, although for what we paid for the room, I was expecting more. Also, too, if you're coming in from the west, it's a nightmare trying to get to the hotel. The hotel itself is to the west of downtown and is situated near several major highways, and it seems you can only find the hotel coming from Charleston […] (from the east). The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well kept. The view was great, location satisfactory. The mattress on the bed was old and uncomfortable. I would expect a pillowtop for this price. The manager went to Walmart and bought a mattress pad and put it on the be himself. Great service at least!

"A Room With A View"
This was a wonderful hotel and the room had a great view from the balcony off all the boats on the water, etc. The staff was very gracious and helpful. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I will stay there again!

The breakfast included with the stay is not as well prepared or varied as other hotels of the same brand that I have stayed in. They are fighting a mold/mildew problem. Most front desk people were helpful. We liked the evening shuttle to downtown Charleston since the hotel is not downtown.
