Grand Hotel Miramare Santa Margherita Ligure

Abbiamo soggiornato due giorni al Miramare e siamo stati molto soddisfatti della bella camera al 5à piano con una splendida vista sul mare. Il personale è attento, il servizio ottimo. La posizione è piacevole anche per un jogging mattutino a Portofino.

LA LOCATION E' STRAORDINARIA DALLA FINESTRA DELLA CAMERA SEMBRAVA DI VEDERE UNA CARTOLINA.-ANCHE SE UNA LUNGA PASSAGGIATA SONO STATO A PORTOFINO (DA SOGNO) .

'Grand old hotel' that has been kept in near mint condition. Easily the best in SM, and service is bordering on 5*. HOWEVER do note: Pool is UNHEATED and thus unuseable until at least June. Very few options for room service. Very nice to kids, but not really set up as a kid friendly hotel. About 10-15 min walk from centre of town.

We've been visiting the area for several years and have stayed in several hotels in both Camogli and Santa Margherita - many of which have been lovely. However the Grand Hotel Miramare surpasses them all in terms of service, friendliness and delicious food. In fact the restaurant was so good that our 5 year old son refused to eat anywhere else - as […] it was out of season in Santa Margherita we happy to. They even very kindly made him a chocolate pudding late one evening that wasn't on the menu just as the kitchen was closing. The bar areas and barman were delightful. I'm sure now we have discoverd the Miramare we will be returning in the summer to try out the marvellous looking pool. Just hope not too many others will have the same idea. Been to Europe over 10 times and this hotel ranks among the "best ever" hotels we've stayed at. Everything, the room, location, service was outstanding. Definately a place we will return too.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and stunning location looking out over the resort and harbour of Santa Margherita Liguire. Very comfortable superior room with balcony overlooking the sea at the front of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was good but service a little slow getting coffee and tea. On the day we arrived, the road to Portafino was closed because […] of a landslide following heavy rain so we took the ferry to Portafino which takes 15 minutes and makes much more sense than driving there. Great location with excellent service

A beautiful hotel but the first room we were put into was disappointingly small. Although sea facing as we'd paid for, it didn't have a balcony and was on the second floor. The hotel provided an entertainer (singer) who stood under our window and sang (very loudly!) until midnight. We asked to be moved after 2 nights of this music and thankfully were […] put into a much better room at the back of the hotel with a balcony. Wish we had been put there initially as the first 2 nights were spoilt and having paid several hundred pounds per night for this hotel it was a real pity! One other complaint was that we were charged 25 euros per night to park our car and when it arrived back it was covered in dirty marks and leaves!! I stayed three days in April before tourist peak and loved it. The large balconied room which faced the Med was sparkling clean and had all the amenities expected in a first class hotel--bidet, plush linens, a plethora of towels and spa quality lotions, etc. The pool area is first class and huge. The hotel staff is first rate, speak near perfect English […] and are eager to please without a trace of arrogance as its occasionally encountered In hotels of this caliber. The location is great-- bus stop right outside, parking out front and ten min from Portofino and 80 min from Cinco Terra (by train or car) and walking distance to the train station, great shopping and restaurants (although the hotel restaurant and breakfast buffet is excellent). I strongly recommend the GHM for a romantic getaway, high end business meeting or as a home base for exploring Portofino or Cinco Terra. FYI a taxi ride to Portofino is expensive. An absolutely beautiful hotel with impeccable service. A magical experience even during the off-season. 5 Stars without a doubt.

Age and experience have only improved the Grand Hotel Miramare. Set in a superb seaside location, with extraordinary facilities, great food and a staff that cannot seem to do enough for you, the GHM is everything you want a resort hotel to be.

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location for enjoying the Ligurian coast. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms spacious with lots of light. Can't wait to return.

The weekend on the Ligurian coast was beautiful. The hotel is located in a perfect area to walk into the town of Santa Margherita di Ligure or to have a nice long stroll or short drive to Portofino. The pool at the hotel is lovely. The lobby is not too grand so the first impression once walking up the beautiful staircase from outside to the inside […] is a bit disappointing. An example is that there is a very outdated and out of place glass door to their main restaurant. The other disappointing thing was their restaurant. Everyone was very nice but it lacked a bit of class. It was a Friday evening and the lights were BRIGHTLY lit leaving it with a complete lack of ambience and a feeling like we were eating in a hospital caffeteria. Also, our order was taken and the paper written on with the order is left on the table, this happens for all of the orders, I felt like I was at a diner. So the waiter comes by and picks up the order to see what we are waiting for etc.... The rooms are comfortable. The bathroom is very spacious. The black out blinds are great for a nice lie in.....However, the hoover vacuums going off in the morning, slamming of doors and loud voices were not very relaxing. Again, it made it lose a bit of class. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with several restaurant recommendations and it was our fault to express the ambience we were looking for as night number 2 was dining out at a place that had very good food but again brightly lit and not romantic at all. It was our fault for not expressing otherwise but we thought that we would be given some guidance. I would recommend this hotel to someone I know who does not go beyond a four star hotel. If someone is used to 5 star accommodations then this is NOT the place for them. We may return here one day but we will definitely be looking at other hotels in the area as well. Continua a leggere

For years, I've looked forward to visiting Santa Margherita and the Italian Riviera. The Miramare Hotel, its beauty and its helpful, friendly staff made us feel so welcome and confortable. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and immaculate. I strongly recommend it to those who want a peak experience and plan to return as soon as possible.

The Grand Hotel Miramare is centrally located with a beautiful pool, access to beach club, and wonderful front desk and concierge. The lobby and the guestrooms need to be updated but it looks like the hotel is in the process of doing this. The bathrooms are spectacular. location - short ride from train station by taxi. nice walk to next town, Portofino. service - concierge all very helpful! took time to answer all questions. house cleaning, room was cleaned two times a day. hotel restaurant - ate one night at hotel, was the best meal all week.

Slik skal det være på Hotell ! Innfrir hele veien. Selv med rom på baksiden, med nydelig park og kjærlighetssti blir man fornøyd på dette hotellet.

Juste merveilleux avec un service impeccable ou l'on sent encore le vrai plaisir de servir ses clients. On retrouve cela partout dans les boutiques, les restaurants, etc.. malheureusementil n'y a plus cela en France...

Best location in Santa Margherita. Perfect located on the road to Portofino with walking distance to all the restaurants and to a morning bath i the Medetarian. I have been here before and will always come back.
