Nice room nice indoor pool really great bar and bar staff at Whispers bar in the hotel. One big big negative the rooms did not have a choice between heat or Ac the sweat to death for two days. Its heat only one part of the year and Ac only the other part.

This was our second time staying in this hotel. The staff is very friendley and the rooms are comfortable. Is not a brand new hotel but if you are looking for a weekend stay for a good price and a nice pool its a great place to stay. Game room needs to b updated

For the rate I paid, I was disappointed with several things. The room was clean, but the whole place needs to be upgraded. The toilet flushed only if the handle was held down for a period of time, the heat was inefficient and when my daughter asked for an extra blanket at the front desk she was told housekeeping provided this and the department was […] closed. We checked in at the hotel around 12:00 am, and weren't even able to walk into our room until around 1:30 am. The man who was at the front desk was extremely flustered and didn't know how to handle checking in just 2 customers. He wouldnt let us into our room until he knew the payment had cleared from hotels.com (which would be the next day to his surprise.) […] So he ended up calling his manager at 1:30 am and realized that that was the case. He wouldnt let us into our room after all that time, and it was due to a careless managment mistake. He made his hotel look bad by saying we should go stay somewhere else because this hotel is run crazily. On top of all this, the hotel overbooked our room and we ended up having to sleep in a smoking room. :( I would NOT recommend anyone staying here! Continua a leggere

Having reserved 2 rooms, one for my wife and I and one for my parents, we arrived to find the exterior and lobby area looking sharp, clean, and well-appointed. Having stayed in a "seedier" hotel previously, we were looking forward to a better stay this weekend. We were fooled! When the key card access to the exterior door nearest our rooms did not function, […] we should have prepared ourselves for the worst. Nevertheless we pressed on to our rooms where, upon entry, we found that the thermostats were set at 80 degrees and the temperature in both rooms was stifling. With no windows or doors to open, we shut off the heat and turned on the bathroom exhaust fans, but did not "cool off" until we loaded the car in 30 degree weather the next morning. Apparently that’s why I had to initial a paragraph upon check-in indicating that I had been notified the air conditioning system was turned off for the season. Perhaps if the thermostats had not been set at 80 degrees the rooms would not have required AC in January! After unpacking a few things and settling in to watch the NFC playoff game, I found that television reception in our room was non-existent - simply fuzzy static in black and white or color, depending on the channel. When notified, the front desk said “Thanks for letting us know. Sometimes the guests unplug stuff to use their X-boxes and it screws things up!” The only solution was to move us to another room. After packing, moving, unpacking, and checking the television (yes, football was viewable!) I went to my parents’ room to let them know of the move. They informed me that while the television in their room worked, the remote control did not. An easy swap from the room my wife and I had just vacated solved that problem, but my Mom also found that the wall lights did not work. Some inspection and testing on my part led me to find that the lights had apparently been unplugged from the outlet behind one of the beds. the hotel was very dirty. None of the facilities worked. The gym and pool were both closed and the breakfast promised did not exist

We found this hotel to reasonably priced for all the amenities. The pool was warm and inviting. The sauna was wonderful. Breakfast was delightful and good with a variety of items and free coffee and tea all day and night. Our room was in good shape. The hotel could use some updating with paint and cleaning but all in all we had the best time for the […] money we spent. We are planing to return in the future and have told our friends about the place too. The convience of being 20 minutes away from Shawnee and camelback was truely a blessing. This hotel was ok, the service upon check-in was great. The room itself was way too hot and there was a need for general maintenance for cracks and discolorations. But, all in all was not uncomfortable.

cheap but bad

I typically consider other reviews, but unfortunately didn't this time. This hotel requires a major renovation. The bad stay started when a person was leaving while I was checking in complained about the smell in the room and mold on the ceiling tiles. There were several issues with my room - 1) The sheets had a large, dark colored stain on them. I […] asked the staff to change them, which they politely did. 2) The carpet was stained. 3) There were holes in the walls where fixtures had been mounted at some point, but never repaired. 4) The toiled seat was stained yellow. 5) There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. 6) The tub had at one point been painted and the paint was peeling off easily making me wonder how often it was scrubbed. 7) The hotel was very noisy all night long - very difficult to sleep. 8) The television was very blurry. 9) The power in our room went out while we were getting ready in the morning. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I was very disappointed in the quality of the hotel. I expected more, especially due to the rate which was abnormally high. I did not complain to the front desk staff as they were polite the entire time and typically have no control over the physical condition of the property. I would not recommend this hotel. upon check in we needed to switch rooms due to mold and mildew smell,it was switched automatically without any problems, beds were comfoftable,room had alot of cob webs in the corners, was disappointed in the lounge,thought we would have some entertainment on a friday night but it was dim and dreary,no bartender or music on...looked closed but wasnt,ended […] up not ordering anything. The room key did not work for the doors adjacent to the parking lot - the last frustration we needed at the end of a long day. We had a pool-side room and people were carrying on and making noise until midnight. There were mildew stains in the bathtub caulk and grout. There are not many great hotel options in this area, so I picked the one that was convenient and a good value. Overall, I got what I expected, which was an aging, no-frills hotel. Worst part was the shower/bath. It had been spray painted to make it look white again, but this paint was peeling off in certain spots. The tiles were cracked and buckling, […] and the grout looked black in some areas. Kind of gross, but I managed. The pillows were uncomfortable for me, but I should have anticipated this and brought my own pillow. The A/C was quite noisy. The pool was kind of sketchy with peeling paint, plus there were no pool towels available. One of the sinks didn't drain properly, but the hotel addressed this quickly. On the positive side, breakfast wasn't bad. They had decent bagels and the bacon was tasty, so I didn't feel the need to go to the Perkin's across the street. Given there there were not any better options at the price point I was after ($90-$120), overall I got what I expected. If I come to the area again, I will try harder to find something better, but would stay here again due to the convenience and decent breakfast. Continua a leggere

Spoke to management when checking out, Parking lot had cigarette butts at all rear entrances. Suggested putting sand fill ash trays by doors. The rest of hotel was great.

We enjoyed our stay, We were close to Pocono Raceway. Our room was clean with plenty of fresh towels personal items. We had a pool side room the pool was kept to reasonable hours so we were not kept awake late . We enjoyed our time there ,breakfest could be better.

Was not very happy with cleanliness of room. Air conditioner didn't work very well and sounded like a deisel truck. Mirrors were smeary. Bathroom was gross. Mold in between tiles in shower and just lower part of shower was wiped, you could still see the water/soap marks up high. The tub was falling apart. TV reception was not the best...a lot of static. […] Hallways smelled. Ice maker near room wasn't working had to walk down other end of hall to find one. Paperwork in folder said continental breakfast on Saturday/Sunday was til 11. Got there around 10ish and was told they weren't serving any longer. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. First of all the hotel staff at the reception area were not at all friendly & didn't even inform you of anything about the hotel. We were suppose to get a complimentary breakfast & wasn't told what time it would be, so of course we missed it. Now to the best part of my stay, a couple having sex […] in the pool. for the price I had paid, the bathroom should have been a lot nicer. All the coating was falling off the tub, and there was mildew underneath the baseboard surrounding the bathtub! I wasn't expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and also clean. I stayed there with plans to visit Tannersville over the weekend. The hotel is right off 80 so you could jump on and off the highway, no problem. This hotel was on our way from New York to Nazareth, PA-convenient location. However, the hotel was old, dirty and the staff was less than helpful with our Internet connection problems.

The hotel was overwhelmed with children due to a soccer tournament but the staff kept on top of everything. Enjoyed the breakfast even when they ran out of some things due to the children. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great to have as I had a chld with me as well. The location was close to downtown. Nice place to stay.

The hotel was in a good location to camal back. The service was not great and the rooms were not ready on time inwhich they had little sympathy. Not the best smelling eather.

Ignore the previous reviews. This hotel is more than satisfactory. We enjoyed our short stay and recommend it highly. We are experienced, worldwide travelers and travel extensively within the U.S. We seek out Quality Inns as a rule. Stroudsburg is among the best.

Very-very average. Rooms smelled like mold, although the bedding was clean. No breakfast. Their entertainment in the lounge was closed on Friday night. I would recommend though down-town Stroudsburg for eating out. A lot of cute places. Nice Turkish restaurant on Main street.

Horrible. I booked non- smoking was put in smoking, pool side was not poolside, Continental breakfast was not served. Had to leave hotel for breakfast restraunts inside were closed. room smelled like mildew, everything was stained. payed more then hotel rate. Not Happy

I guess over all this hotel gave me what I needed. A bed and a shower. But the price was outrageuous for what I got. It looked very run down. There were a few signs of renovation and updating like newer carpet in the hallway and nice grounds outside. The pool area was bad. It is located in a large common area and smoking is allowed in this area-which […] made this area not very desireable for non smoker and kids. Oh and the pool was ICE cold and they do not have a towel service by the pool. This hotel offers no food-it appears the restaurants were closed. The hotel needs some work. It was not as nice a pictured when booked. The lobby was dated and dark. In our room the AC did not maintain accurate temperature and was noisy. The carpet needed cleaning. We had to change rooms initially because we wanted interior halls and a cleaner room. The interior pool and area was nice. The description on Hotels.com seemed to say it had a complimentary breakfast but we found out when we got there that the complimentary breakfast was only available during week days. The breakfast buffet they had charged $10, one of the guests with me was very displeased. The Layout of the pool/courtyard was really nice, it had a clear roof, that made […] it a little like a green house. There was a piano which was nice for the price point.
