Hill Country Inn & Suites at Salado Creek San Antonio

Nice pool, play area and grounds. I had no complaints. The beds were hard, but you can't expect lush beds for that price.

The hotel staff are so professional and accommodating. They are very nice and provide great customer service. The hotel is older but is very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. We don't spend too much time in the room and were in San Antonio for going to Sea World and Fiesta Texas so it was a great value great price and we will definately return to this hotel. The pictures on line- look good. However, when we arrived and checked in. You can see the lodging is old and needs repair. Apparently at one time it was a RCI time share and now I believe they are also montly renting of the units. Our unit the curtains were falling off the rod, curtains would not shut properly unless a chair was placed next to them […] to hold them in place. The TV's did not work and nothing could be done until Monday. We were checking out on Sunday. When our room was cleaned one bed was not made, no clean towels, it was like they were interrupted and left. There were dead cockroaches on the floors. We attempted to go to the Hot tub, The one nearest the office was broke, We walked down to the 2nd one and it was dirty - to the point you could not see the bottom or the stairs. This lodging was extremely ran down, needs work. Our unit was not in good condition and I am extremly surprised that it has the rating it does. It's always my home away from home. Love the atmosphere, environment and courtesy. But one Big suggestion,shampoo the carpet. When you walk around barefooted your feet turn black in a matter of minutes from the carpet. But always love the stay.

The staff were very friendly. Cozy looking place with a feel of the country. It actually felt very country. Sheets were paper thin. Bed cover had a sticker on it from someones last purchase of a shirt. ( clear round sticker that had XL on it) obviously they had not been washed since last patron. TVs in my suit were both Very outdated and the cable ws […] very fussy on the channels I wanted to watch. The furniture looked like it had been purchased at a garage sales several years ago. The cheep plastic chairs on the front porch were in need of being replaced. I sat in one and it broke. Breakfast ws a joke. The desk had no lamp or internet connections . We really enjoyed our stay for the weekend. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Plan on staying with them again on our next trip to San Antonio.

Older property right on the access road of loop around San Antonio, thus convenient to travel. Clean, though a bit tight. Nice option for family on a budget. Staff was exceptional in terms of service.

This is a hidden treasure on the busy Loop410 in San Antonio. The neighborhood isn't ideal, but once you pull inside the property, be prepared to be surprised. When we first got there we had our roombut the first night we were there I got two different bites and was not satisfied with the room so they moved us to another one it was nicer but when I lifted up the cover and there was a piece of candy which tells me our room wasn't clean took a picture and told them to clean the room and that was at 8am when […] we got back at 11pm it was still there. Now other than the bites in the first room and the candy in the second. The pool should have been cleaner but besides that they were willing to clean the room that night and give us discounts and they were kinda nice. U just might wanna watch them clean the room which I did twice. i'm actually happy with where we stayed. it's hard to find a decent hotel when your a family of four and on a budget.our suite was right in the near the playground, hot tub, and pool! it was perfect! the thing i didnt like about the place was that it should of been a tad bit cleaner. the mini fridge had someone else ice cream in it, there were a few […] hair ties randomly on the floor, there was some toilet paper from the previous people on the bathroom floor, and the sink could of used a scrub. Oh and also i needed a play pin and the one that they gave us was EXTREMELY dirty. Bathroom is disgusting! Mold on shower curtasin and tile is cracked and moves when you walk on it. Roaches crawling in kitchen area.

Excellent Value for the price. Extremely courteous and helpful employees, oversized rooms, very nice pool, hot tub, playground area, picnic areas, etc.

The staff goes above and beyond customer service. The San Antonio river walk area is nice but this hotel is worth the drive (20 mins. away)!!!

I like staying at the Hill Country Inn on Loop 410 because of the reasonable price and great location. The breakfast room is nice and airy and provides USA Today for the guests. I also like being able to take a walk around the grounds for exercise without worrying about traffic. Title says it all. Other than that, the location is not for families.

We really like staying at this hotel for the proximity to the locations that we visit. We have been staying here each visit to San Antonio for the past 15 years. It is badly in need of updating. Great room layout, with separate sitting and sleeping areas, but beds were extremely hard and ac/heating unit was too noisy to leave on at night. Furniture and linens were old and ready for replacement. Will be very nice when updated.

After staying at a Marriot prior to staying here was different! Staff was friendly and the pool appeared well cared for. The room was a bit rustic after a Marriot room. Great for families wanting to save money. If you have children arrange to stay near the playground and pool. If you prefer quiet get a room along the main drive. Breakfast is chaos and […] limited. I realy enjoyed staying at this Hotel. One thing we had trouble with was the coffee pot it leak at the bottom of the coffee pot. I forgot to mention it .

Have stayed here before and always try to stay here when we visit--great value when we have a group, and we enjoy being able to cook, bring in food, relax, and watch the antics of the squirrels in the trees outside the condo. Very relaxing, great amenities, and we will be back every chance we get.

We were supposed to be in a non smoking room but all you could smell the minute we walked in was smoke.

We weren't quite sure what to expect from this hotel, but even my husband (who doesn't like the "rustic" look) loved our stay! We liked how the beds were separated from the living area. We LOVED the hot tub part of the pool - it was large enough to swim in! (the rest of the pool was too chilly - it is October, after all) On our first full day there, […] the maid got sick and did not clean our room, but the rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful, and even offered to come clean (even though it was late afternoon when we returned and discovered the room exactly as we left it). It was only one day, though, and the room was cleaned as it should be the rest of our stay. The location was Perfect - very easy to get on the interstate to go anywhere we needed to go. The breakfast was bagels, toast, mini-muffins, and some "cold" foods, but that was just fine with us. If you like a bigger meal in the morning, there are a lot of nearby restaurants you can go to. wonderful stay hard to find

Just awful. The furniture including the mattress were worn out. Every hour the toilet would fill, but not like a normal toilet, it sounded like I was under a waterfall. The tub had bugs crawling in it and neither of the two tv's worked. Very clean and for us and a great location. Older buildings and fixtures, but maintained adequately. If you are traveling with children, the play and pool area looked perfect. Breakfast was simple but had the basics. If in San Antonio again, we will most likely stay here again.

Hill Country Inn is quaint and quite rustic, with real wood plank paneling inside and stone siding. The inferior of our room was shotgun shack style, long and narrow. This place was lovely- trees, grills for folks to use, GORGEOUS pool, big playground for kids- and each room was like a little cabin- a separate sitting room and bedroom. This was a very comfortable place for a 3-day stay. It is very kid friendly The entire staff, from desk folks to maintenance people, were very friendly and accomodating. If you're a big breakfast eater, plan on going out, as the complimentary buffet is adequate but limited. Needed a last-minute hotel for a reasonable price during our bathroom renovation. We found it! Nice property with large trees, bbq grills, picnic tables, front porches with seating. the staff very friendly, I don't have anything negative to say except I didn't like the pillows but that did not ruin my trip. I felt safe with my family.

Just like the name say's COUNTRY. Very nice place me and my son stayed in. We enjoyed the POOL! The front office personnel was very nice. Lot's of huge PECAN trees in the property. I recommend it!
