The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly. I enjoyed our stay for the most part. It was a bit offputting when we arrived and there was a group of men standing near the entrance to our hallway drinking outside. It just didn't look very appealing. The breakfast from the onsite restaurant is nice, but they do not consistantly charge for drinks. One […] morning of our stay, we weren't charged for our tea and coffee...the next morning, we were. The hotel was dirty with soil carpet and a stained couch. It had a foul smell. It was out dated with poor lighting ,old furniture and decor. I paid for my stay in advance, so I had no other choice but to keep the reservation. I spent all of my time away from the hotel until I had to return to sleep. our room had a very loud a/c so we left it off but it was cool enough that we could. the view from our room was of the valley below and was outstanding. the breakfast, for such an inexpensive room, was outstanding. this was one of the cheaper rooms i found, and it was only to be for an overnight stay before getting to our destination and for that it […] worked perfectly for us. it is not an upscale cozy place tho. The pictures on the website led me to believe that they were a hotel style inn with entrance to rooms on the inside, not the outside. The rooms were not in the best condition. The hotel had a friendly staff and a great view. Only problem was the resturant gives 2 free breakfast buffets (no fruit) and I have a family of 5. Luckly the front desk told me of this upon check-in so that there was no confusion.

I would not recommend that anyone stay there. There were no amenities, no wireless internet connection in the rooms, no refrigerators, no microwaves. It was a dump. The bathroom was ceiling was patched (and not properly), the bathtub, walls and floor were filthy. The only thing that their advertizing was correct about was the view!

It was ok for a one night stay, which is what we were there for, but over all it is a very aging hotel that is in desperate need of renovation. It was fairly clean, but very very worn down.

Found this to be two steps above the economy type hotel for just a few more dollars where you had free wifi, a hot breakfast, nice fitness center, restaurant, and hotel staff. You can't . beat the view or location, on top of the mountain, yet right off the interstate and just an intersection away from food, a 20 mile highway trip from dancing and Chattanooga […] and just 15 to 20 minutes from whitewater rafting!! Bathtub was extremely dirty. Sheets smelled old and stale, not freshly cleaned room by any means. Also, there were several men staying down the hall who drank all day and night, were outside in the motel "yard" with loud music, talking loud, etc. and Nobody from the motel did anything to stop it or quiet them down.

Exactly what you would expect for the price. Beautiful view. on the side of a hill overlooking the city. Close drive to white water rafting. About 1/2 a mile to many fast food optilons and 2-3 miles from wal-mart & chain restarunts. Shows its age but well kept. Nothing great but a good all around cheap place to stay.

We stayed here with our daughter's college volleyball team. She texted us while we were 3 hours away saying it was trashed. When we got there to check in around midnight, another volleyball team was moving to another set of rooms because their initial set had not been cleaned prior to them checking in. The desk crew was texting the manager. The manager […] should have been there, handling the situation. Our room was furnished with items from the 50's or 60's. And the landscaping was dominated by Holly bushes. Accidentally brush any of those guys, and you get scratched. nice way to minimize outdoor maintenance, scratch the guests. Continua a leggere

The staff was very helpful as well as very friendly. The room, however, had a strange smell. I thought it smelled like heavy duty commercial cleaning solutions, while my wife thought it smelled musty. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. While looking for an electrical outlet, I found one under the bed that looked partially broken and somewhat […] overloaded. We loved this place! When we arrived we found that the manager had upgraded our room because we had asked for a frig for my 3-yr. old grandson, who has food allergies. The manager did the upgrade to provide us with a room with a frig (standard in this room) and a microwave! The restaurant was pretty and the food was great (free hot buffet breakfast […] til 10 a.m.). The pool was clean and there was a separate kiddie pool. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, so we all slept well. The wireless Internet connection was excellent. Housekeeping was polite and prompt with making up our beds and replacing towels. The bathroom was clean. There is a view of the Smokey Mountains on the side of the motel with chairs. We will return, and highly recommend this motel for everyone. Continua a leggere

We enjoyed a very comfortable night in the Mountain View Hotel in Cleveland. A really good breakfast is included in the cost of the room- eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast slices etc and coffee. You do have to pay extra for juices. Would stay again.

I thought that the employees working the night shift were very nice. They offered me a free room upgrade when I told them it was for the day before we leave to our honeymoon. They also opened the door for my wife which was a very nice touch. Overall the hotel was nice and the sheets were comfortable.

It was a little hard to find....I was pleased with the overall cleanliness. The mattress was a little firm for my tastes. I was dissapointed the pool was out of service. And there was the matter of the party in the parking lot... They weren't loud or obnoxious it's just that had I had a family or per say a church group (which were a few doors down) […] I might have been offended. ten days in advance we ask for a 2nd floor room with a view...they said no problem...ended up in court yard...94 degrees out and pool was closed....dinner for saterday night..resteraunt closed....free breakfest...not available....graduation night for local school....loud and not supervised...picnic tables outside was worse than a bathroom stall with […] grafiti...ended up leaving at mid night because of noise ...oh... they did rent out the resturant for a retirement party.... Good: - Awesome panoramic view with chairs & picnic tables at the back of property upon small mountain. - Very convenient location; right off freeway exit. - Staff very friendly and accommodating. Bad: - Felt deceived about "free" breakfast; (a) breakfast not available on Monday; (b) must pay for drinks and waitress tip at full service restaurant. Not […] a bad deal, but should not be called "free". - Some rooms are not close enough to wireless hubs. We had to switch rooms to have consistent connection. - Rooms are very outdated. One practical ramification is that there were not enough electrical outlets for our chargers (laptops, iphones, etc.) ... even after unplugging a few non-critical items. I was assured that this site was pet friendly however the manager just changed the policy. We were allowed to stay with the dog however I was told to "keep him in the room" so the manager does not see him . My 11 pound Dashound was walked anyway but in the parking lot where he was not seen i hope. The onsite restaurant is open only for the complimentary […] breakfast. Hot breakfast was great. Hotel has beautiful views. Our only criticisms are that is it is very outdated, the sheets and towels are very thin, and it comes with a free buffet breakfast, but you have to pay for your drinks (coffee) and tip the waitress that brings it to you! A little odd.

The room wasn't ready for me to checkin when I arrived. The sheets were dirty. The couch and carpet also needed to be cleaned. The wifi connection was MIA upstairs in my room. The price was good. The location was great. The breakfast was impressive.

After checking into that room, it was obvious that the bathroom had not been cleaned, as there was several items left in the shower, from the previous guests. what wonderful views of the mountains. The rooms where updated but the bathroom in our room at least, had a bathtub that the bottom was broken and patched, This gave you the feeling you were going to fall thru the bottom. The bathroom needed a redo. It didn't feel clean.
