Over-all our stay was good. Our first night stay was unsettling will an alarm going off at 5:30 in the morning. Our room reservation was confirmed by Hotels . com and upon checking in the clerk could care less. We had booked and confirmed a King Smoking room and was told King NONSMOKING was all they had available so had to take a queen room instead. […] Our room was very nice it was suitable for the two-of us except for the bed skirts on both beds were very badly stained and nasty. It was clean and comfortable ... but oh the noise from all the young drinkers. The bars in this casino are geared to those who want to stay sloshed for most of the time. Lots of free drinks and drinking games. Since we are in our 70's; we wern't interested in this. The hotel provided a safe place for the drinkers to have their fun. The only trouble […] with this is that as they came to their rooms at all hours (almost every hour), they were not considerate of those sleeping. We did not get much sleep the entire time we were there. We didn't complain; it seemed not right to spoil the drunks fun, but boy, were they loud. Continua a leggere

ok but the shower was like being in a water drinking outlet , tv was bad. the hotel service fee was to high for what we got in return.

the room needed to have WORKING amenities i.e. iron, ironing board, hair dryer.

Although I usually stay at the Mirage, I thought I'd try something different this birthday. I got a great deal at the Excalibur so I thought Id give it a try. On the positive side, the room was very nice, clean, comfy with the usual amenities ... oh, and best of all I was able to stay on a "smoke free" floor. The Excalibur is conveniently located on […] Las Vegas Blvd S and connected to both the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. On the other side is the New York New York (one of my personal favorites). There is covered parking behind the hotel and of course the overall theme is "medieval". On the negative side, whenever I entered the lobby area I was approached by staff who wanted to know my occupation and income to see if I was eligible for a special offer at a nearby resort. A sales pitch is the last thing I needed after sitting in a car in the hot mojave desert for more than 4 hours. It became much more annoying, however, during the next few days - as I was constantly being approached by hotel staff with the same questions and offers every time I entered into the lobby area. Also, when it was time to "check out" of the hotel there was only 1 person serving a very long line. There should have been two or three people helping with check out. As for overall staff friendliness - aside from the very annoying sales people I already mentioned - some staff were very friendly and some were not so much. We stayed in Tower I. I thought the hotel was out of the way from the mainstay of the strip, the buffett was terrible, the food tasted old and overcooked. the guests on our floor were noisy, we could hear them running in the halls, playing with the our door knobs and our neighbors were arguing, our toilet never stopped running and the curtains were […] getting worn. Compared to the sister hotels, Mandalay Bay and Luxor I thought the Excalibur appeared run down, i don't think the air conditioning was working well as we smelled of cigarette smoke, our hair and clothes, i don't think well stay at the Excalibur at any price Continua a leggere

Like the proximity to other casinos

First time I went to Vegas I stayed at the Wynn. This time I was looking for for a budget hotel on the strip and I am satisfied about having chosen the Excalibur. I came to the hotel room just to sleep at night. Don't expect luxury. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Very dirty room and bathroom. Sheets in bed were short sheeted and we will never stay again! Checked out next morning and went to another hotel

DISAPOINTED.......WAS CHARGED RESORT FEE OF 18USD PER DAY-HAD NO IDEA..THIS WAS EXTRA...HAD TO CALL FOR MAID SERVICE AT 5PM--MMISSED WHOLE DAY....NO COFFEE MAKER IN ROOM....POOL WAS TOO FAR.....EXPRESS CHECKOUT FROM ROOM.WAS OFFERED..WHEN I TRIED AT 5AM-DUE MY FLT WAS 7AM--WAS UNABLE MUST BE AFTER 6AM -TO CK OUT FROM ROOM...SHUTTLE TO AIRPORT WAS LATE […] NO BELLHOP TO HELP OUT Continua a leggere

while it was my first time to vegas,i was surprised for two things,1th is i was surprised for $15.00 resort fee for each day that they charge me,2nd i was make reservation sooner by hotel.com,but when i search the last day for same date reservation i find $11.00 cheaper price,that means cheating people,why i have to pay more if i get reservation so […] oner? It was great.

It was better than the first time we stayed there meaning it was more up to date. The only thing is that I wish it was closer to other places like shopping or clubs.

Since the Excalibur is located on the corner of two major boulevards, and is across the street from the New York, New York, with its all night roller coaster, I was expecting a certain amount of noise in our room. Instead, the room (which was upgraded upon check-in at no extra cost) was very quiet and clean, and even the hallway remained quiet all night. […] The smoke-free designation was just that: no one had ever smoked in that room. receptionist was rude when i questioned why they were charging me an extra 15$ per day, he basically said do you want the room or not !!! & had to wait 30 mins in line to check in, it was like standing in line to check at the airport. other than this the rooms were OK.

Hotel was nice and comfortable, but the carpet was coming up in places. They used red duct tape to hold it down. In other places, it was gathered and was a hazard. The hotel is showing its age and should be better maintained. Overall, good experience. We had a great time.

ENJOYABLE

As the manager of a small hotel, I was quite satisfied. Your hotel had a much better rate than similar hotels. My expectations were low going in. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and spaciousness of my room. The front desk experience was also quite pleasant and I was very pleased when my request for a room on the uppermost floors was […] granted. The view was great. Now critically, I would have to say the grout in the shower needs serious work. The mattresses seemed worn and no longer firm. Overall this was better than I expected. PS nice TV! Continua a leggere

Don't get me wrong, my stay was a pleasant one, but when you go to a high-end resort you expect more than just 'good'. First off, there is no free breakfast or juices/coffee/etc. The closest to this was free beer tickets, which you get 3 for the duration of your stay. Next, there is a security Booth by the elevators to the room with a sign that says […] "have room key ready for security". Not only is there virtually never a guard on duty, but i didnt once get stopped to verify i was staying there! There were cigarette Burns in the rug of my room, and the TVs are blocked from being used for game systems, DVD or bluray players. The show in the lower level had some of the worst tasting food I've eaten in a long time, but the actors had fun and it was entertaining. The best part was that it was located right on the strip and was very close to NY NY And MGM Grand, both of which had plenty to do. Continua a leggere

On the south end of the strip, nothing too fancy, but nothing bad, either.

The room was clean comfortable Having to pay a resort fee for amenities that are usually included in room fees(papers.internet etc.) bothers me and I will probably book elsewhere.

The line for check in was a rediculous. The clerks were less than friendly. The non-negotiable "daily resort fee" of $15.00 per day + tax was disappointing - clerk stated it was for in-room wi-fi and daily news paper at the door- the wi-fi we did not need and the paper we did not get. The Excalibur is no longer a choice when we go to LV.

no one to help you........two towers and there are no bell hops or anyone near your elevators to assist you with anything.........all you see is customers dragging their luggage throught the casino to get to a tower

The hotel is located in southern most part of the strip and hence you have to do a lot of walk if you want to get the whole fun of strip. I would look for a hotel in little north of Excalibur for future stays. The room was good but the air conditioner was a pretty old one, was making noise all the night, that too you need to walk to the a/c to start/stop […] it...no remote!!! The towels were having a typical smell...not sure what that was...may be the smell of the detergent/liquid that they were using to clean them...could have been avoided...rest all were good... The service was not bad, the staff was friendly. I do think the carpeting and wall paper needs updating, it makes the rooms look old, and dark. I asked for a non smoking room but it still didn't smell completely clean. I do understand it is an old hotel but needs a remodeling. We were brought a roll in bed since there was 3 of us staying in the room […] but it looked as it had been in a storage warehouse for a while, not clean, not attractive at all at the end we decided to share a bed. Decent Hotel, nothing extraordinary about it and nothing bad about it. Staff were polite, Rooms were clean. What else do you need :).

Couldnt use my I pad without going to star bucks..

It seems thew newer style motels have a much better venelation system, the hotel was very smokey
