"Great Location - older hotel"
There were several La Quinta's to select from in the area. I choose this hotel because it stated Inn and Suites. Was quite disappointed it was not a suite. The front desk gentleman (can't remember his name) was great! Even called to my room as soon as I checked in and wanted to know if the room was satisfactory! Based on reviews I was expecting much worse, and was pleasantly surprised. My room on the first floor had been renovated and had an HD flat screen and had great HD stations available. The carpet was a little stained but it didn't bother me - i have seen much worse. The hallways could have used a little more vacuuming but no big deal for me. Excellent customer service! We had a problem with the air not getting cool enough in our room...they moved us immediately...and we slept in comfort! They are very affordable...comparable to a motel-6, but nicer! The beds were pretty nice for the price, and our room was CLEAN. They have a pet policy and allow pets...but I did NOT see any other signs […] of people staying previously with pets...no hair, no itchy feeling, no spots on the floor. The stairwell was a little dirty...not too bad...but then again, I had two giant dogs with me! A+ for a surprising price! Comparable to a Holiday Inn Express...only cheaper.
