Hotel de la Montagne Montréal

We spent last three days of our vacation in Canada at htl de la Montagne and had a wonderful stay. Staff revealed to be helpful and friendly in providing assistance and advice. Ask or reserve a contemporary room : your money would be worth spending

L'hotel è in posizione molto comoda, all'incrocio di Bld. S.te Cathrine e vicinissimo ai principali centri commerciali. Si, anche perchè non c'è molto d'altro a vedere a Montreal... La struttura esterna non attrae assolutamente, ma dentro è molto elegante e curato - a tratti kitsch! - e la camera era FANTASTICA. Ci siamo concessi una contemporary con […] letto king... camera enorme, bagno spaziale con doccia ampissima, asciugamani e accappatoi a profusione! Personale cortese, disponibile e discreto. Con una (lunga) passeggiata si arriva alla città vecchia e al porto antico, forse la parte più piacevole e più a dimensione di turista (lungo il tragitto si possono visitare le 4 chiese più meritevoli). Molto carino il mercatino tenuto in costume d'epoca nelle vie pedonali di Vieux Montreal. Altro punto meritevole è il belvedere dello Chalet al parco del Mont-Royal. Continua a leggere

The TV in the room had poor reception and a terrible sound. Hotel provided a doorman but not typically available, and when they were they did not open doors or assit guest.

the staff was very accomodating. doormen were especially helpful and pleasant. next time would request to not overlook the alley, smell of restaurant fans was offputting. hotel should provide more coffee in the room, 4.25 per package is not very hospitable. t.v. was old and small. i wish there was an airport shuttle, may not book there again for this […] reason. This hotel was horrible. There must have been 3-4 bachelor bachelorette parties going on the night we checked in. All through the night you could hear drunken party people on different floors running, screaming, and yelling. Plus it is surrounded by clubs, so the street noise keeps going well past 3 am. We opted for the contemporary room, but it was […] clear the bed was possibly older than we are. I woke up with a massive pinched nerve in my neck after a night without any sleep. This Hotel is in a great spot of Montreal, but some of the balconies are more like concrete cliffs with no chairs or anything.

Stayed here over four nights while seeing the sights on my first visit to Montreal. The hotel is conveniently and centrally located to shopping, museums, restaurants, and the Bell Centre. Staff was courteous and helpful. I had a nice stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

Hi, If you look at my profile, you can clearly see that I use your company a lot and I do love it. I thank you for your service it has been great thus far. I ran into a problem last week where my company double booked a hotel for the same night, and i contacted Hotel.ca. I am very displeased with the effort that was made to correct this situation, […] I am a good client and I would of liked to see something being done to correct this. I offered to settle for a credit and not a refund but again, I felt like my business did not matter and nothing was done for me. Great location, close to major downtown shopping district, restaurants, and Metro. Rude staff. Hotel is clean but dated--our room looked NOTHING like what they advertised. Free and working Internet a plus. Would stay here again maybe during the summer to take advantage of their rooftop pool, but I've stayed in nicer, less expensive hotels in Montre […] al. This hotel is connected to one of the best bars in town...Thursdays. The place is packed on Friday night. Right below Thursdays is a dance club. Right outside that club is Crescent Street. That is a street with the best nightlife in town.

I proposed to my girlfriend this weekend and it was the perfect spot to do so. The people were very friendly and the location was near the mountain for a walk and view and in the heart of everything in downtown montreal.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, walking distance to stores, restaurants, and transportation if needed. It is clean, well managed with a friendly and attentive staff. We visited in September 2011, loved it and returned with our family this weekend. The family loved it as well and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended.

Overall a great experience

We loved our stay here. Its out 20th visit and as usual the room was spotless. the staff friendly and the service outstanding in every way!! We can't wait to go back!

I've been to montreal many times with my friends, and we've been to a lot hotels such as Holiday Inn, Hotel de Paris, Aubri, and Econolodge. By far, Hotel Montagne is the BEST one we've been to!! It has amazing service, beautiful, incredibly spacious rooms, and an amazing view from our balcony. There was no noise, and I love how you can change the temperature. […] I am very impressed with this hotel, and will definitely be coming back. Very strange place. The decore is something like a past-its-prime Las Vegas hotel off the old strip with fiberglass Grecian and Indian statues, dilapidated crystal chandeliers and quite a bit of red and pink. It smelled of incense throughout (I suppose it could have been worse). All that was missing was the sound of the slot machines. Marketing photos […] of the rooms, which looked okay on the website, do not match the actual rooms, which are run-down. The neighborhood was rough, but security seemed okay. A happier "family" of staff, I've never seen! They have all been with the hotel for many years and have smiles and conversation for everyone. We keep going back!

Love this location. Just a block off St Catherine & a block off Rene Levesque on Montagne. Close to all ammenities, shopping, museums etc. Service and staff are really great. Balconies off rooms which are appreciated. Clean, free wireless, fun bar off lobby. Couldnt find anything to be unhappy about.

Very clean and well located. A bit noisy, as our room was situated right above a monster air conditioning facility. Hotel staff were very courteous and accommodating.

Great location, rooms were very large and clean. Staff did not go out of there way to make you feel welcomed.

I enjoyed staying at Hotel De La Montagne . This is my second year in a row visiting in Montreal and enjoyed my stay just as much this time around. The service was warm and friendly and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed dining and the convenience of two Restaurants a bar and grill and a night club with great music,all connected to the Hotel. Another […] good reason to stay at Hotel De La Montagne, is the shopping and the must see sites that are mostly all in walking distance. This hotel is an excellent facility to stay at, the location is superb and the quality of the service and the building is great. Would stay here again for sure.

Hotel is right in heart of downtown Montreal for the shopping, restaurants and night life. It is getting a little tired looking but is clean and well kept. The staff are accomodating and friendly but don't go out of their way. Overall a great place to stay if you want downtown Montreal.

What a great place! We had a *beautiful* comfortable room and the staff were really helpful. It's one block away from the street with all the terraced restaurants, and an easy walk up to Mt Royal, down to the old city, or over to the Latin Quarter. No complaints! :)

Very nice hotel in a great location in downtown Montreal. The only thing I was very disappointed about was when I asked the maid for an additional coffee for the room and she said no. This has never happened to us in any other hotel we have ever stayed in.

L'Hotel de la montagne is well situated in downtown Montreal and the bilingual staff were very helpful on several occasions. Our room was large and comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom ensuite. We enjoyed breakfast on the charming mezanine with its decorative European ambiance.

We were very pleased with our three-day stay in October. The room was the biggest and most comfortable standard room I've ever been in in a big city hotel. The location was very good. Help from the staff for planning tourist visits, etc., was excellent. Free WIFI, free umbrella loans,...all were very helpful.
