We stayed on a Saturday night and it was the only hotel showing available rooms, probably due to it's being a bit pricy. We wanted to stay in Solvang, however, and found it's location great, within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Hotel was in a nice location just on the edge of Solvang and within walking distance of everything. Covered parking under the building is a plus. Hotel staff was unattentive when we first arrived and staff seemed highly stressed and aggravated probably because they said they were fully booked for the weekend and anticipated being very busy? Nice convient hotel close to many sights in the Solvang center area. Most of the town is within a 5 minute for eating, shopping, sight seeing, and wine tasting. The city makes a good location for touring the Santa Ynez area and most of southern Central California. The breakfast buffet is nice. Simple but fills you up for a full day of touring and wine […] tasting. They put us on the street side and we had a light shining into the room all night. No black out curtains to close and block the light.

Very pleasant stay. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and coffee was great! There was fruit and warm cinnamon buns as well! I only gave it a 3 rating overall mainly because of the lack of hot water in the shower and the fact the furniture needs some updating. It's not a five-star hotel. It's a 2 and 1/2 star hotel and a wonderful one at that. The price is a bargain compared to many of the surrounding hotels and you are still located within perfect walking distance from the beautiful little town.

This hotel needs major maintenance. Paint is peeling off the mirror, T- bar ceiling is broken and water stained. It's too bad that nearly all the hotels in Solvang feel that maintenance is not important.

Room was clean and fine for our 2 night stay. Prices are high in Solvang and this is overpriced for an average motel. Room was missing a chair and a table. Walls are thin and we were on the road side so could hear the traffic. Other side of the hall is extra. Soccer tournament had many families here and we could also hear the running above us for most […] of the evening. Staff was friendly. TV kept cutting out and/or freezing up. Hm, location was great. Everything within walking distance. Did not appreciate the unfriendlyness at the front desk. The indian lady did not look up from whatever she was looking at, did not great me personally with a Hello and How Are You. No warmth and welcome there. Does matter to me especially since I travel quite a bit and hd just arrived from […] a beautiful hotel in Ventura with excellent customer service. The room was nicely sized. But no exhaust fan in the bathroom and thus mold or something dark on tyhe base of the tub and the door. Best shower though! And no parking fee...All in all not a bad place but would definetly check out other places in town when I return Continua a leggere

An excellent hotel for the price range, clean, modern, friendly staff, and well priced. It's walking distance to all the sites in Solvang and centerally located for travel to Buelton, Los Olivos, and Santa Ynez. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay so much. We go on a wine tasting trip every year and from now on we will only stay here in solvang nice rooms good breakfast great time. Only thing is that the staff wasn't very customer service oriented not that helpful but nice

The rooms were ok, overlooked the road. Has a nice valley behind but Manager would not give it to us. At the time of booking did not realize there were rooms with Valley view. Elevators can close on you not equipped with safety features.

Surprised no cofee in lobby at 6:00 am Used as a destination for points north but B fast was too late to use before departure suggest partical B fast be offered from 5:00 am to 6:30 at least coffee

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The parking was easy with easy access to the road. The breakfast selections were also very good.

Hotel is clean. Service is good and helpful. Breakfast is a good spread. Accomodations are very good. Would go back and recommend it to friends.

The front desk came across rude when asked about places to eat or things to do at night.. maids and rest of staff were extremely nice. Balcony/patio needed attention as there were alot of trash in the dirt below and a view of a shack which needed some attention. There was no light for the balcony/patio and bird poop on the railing. The room was nice […] and big but you could see a lot of wear in the bathroom and there were still hinges from where the closet door used to hang that were sticking out. At one point in the middle of the night there was a loud high pitch noise that was coming from what sound like the water pipes. My husband called the front desk and they were able to find the source and it stopped. I think next time we will try a different hotel. Continua a leggere

This hotel is located in the heart of town. They have a nice looking pool and jacuzzi - but we didn't have time to use it unfortunately. The free breakfast buffet included pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits and more!!! An excellent deal if you consider what breakfast could cost for a family in town. Exellent location. walking distance to everything in the charming town of Solvang. Central to many good wineries. Great inclusive breakfast and private balcony in the room. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows and the a/c worked well.

This hotel is great. Location is right as you come into Solvang. Staff was great. The first night we checked in our air did not work in our room so the next days we todl them about it. They moved us to another room and had the air aready going in the new room. Breakfast was great and there, stocked well and lots of choices. The bed was a little uncomfortable […] but other then that we had a wodnerful stay and wiill ocme back. We also took the grapeline tour that picks upat the fornt door of the hotel and it was the best thing we ever did in Solvang so if your here for wine tasting check it out you won't be dissappointed. Old and dilapidated hotel. Our room Windows had mold on them and were filthy. Ceiling material falling off room ceiling from water leak. Strong stench of sanitizer. Good - very friendly and helpful staff. Great location.

Parking was absoultely terrible, not enought parking spaces, Drive around complex looking for a parking space. I must admit this is reason that I would not recommend this place.
