I have stayed at a few resorts in Cancun and elsewhere; this one is above average. I appreciated that the resort is "LGBT-friendly" and booked it for this reason. There were a handful of gay couples, and we definitely felt welcome as two gay men. Kinky's, the nightclub, was a great time, and this is where the "LGBT friendly" really showed. There were […] primarily male (and a couple female) exotic dancers and a cabaret show led by an adorable gay emcee. Even the straight couples (which was most of the audience) had a blast. The food is really good - even the buffet. Only the Arabian restaurant disappointed, with bland food and the depressed, bordering on disgruntled, staff. The nightly shows were cute and fun but not magnificent, consisting of a handful of performers doing fire dancing or aquatic ballet or a Cirque du Soliel-style show for half an hour each night. The drinks were wildly inconsistent depending on the bar and the bartender; the bartenders could use some training. Most staff were incredibly friendly, but we consistently had problems with the front desk, who were rude on each occasion we visited it (not to mention having to wait almost 30 minutes to check in - a frustrating start to the holiday). The beach was beautiful - typical Cancun! - and the pools were nice, but there was a major lack of lounge chairs; they all seemed to be snatched up even before breakfast. Very nice hotel. Cool performances I'm the lobby. Slow service. Alright food. Great bartenders. It just was too quiet everywhere. The only bar open after 10 pm was the kinky club. Throughout the hallways and the hotel there was not any music and when most of the days we sat on the beach there was no music.

Just got back this week. Hotel rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Not luxurious, but attractive. The service was very good, and staff are very friendly. The beach is awesome. The only negative thing I have to say is the food. The all you can eat restaurants are marginal. The Italian Rest is very good though. It's a quite resort, no kids running around […] and the pool area is very relaxed, almost too relaxed. The pool bar was empty the whole time we were there. water was too cold to enjoy. THE bad: The "VIP" experience is a scam. Upgraded mini bar means two cans of warm beer a sprite and two cokes in a refrigerator that goes down to maybe 55 degrees. The VIP lounge...you still had to pay eight bucks for a Captain and Coke. Even as VIP's we were told it was an extra 35 bucks to eat in the nice restaurant. The room felt like a prison cell […] with nothing on the walls...nothing. Just a huge mildew smelly room with white concrete walls and a hard smooth surface (read VERY slippery) floor. The "restaurants" were OK, but there are not 7 of them. The Wimpy's burger should have been called Grumpy's burger. When you ordered a burger (this "restaurant" consisted of hot dogs and hamburgers made on a panini grill), he would roll his eyes and make you one. The "chciken" restaurant consisted of chicken fingers, nuggets, and grilled chicken breast, uncooked fires (less than in a fast food restaurant's small) and because the waiter didn't speak english, he just guessed what you ordered and brought you whatever kind of chicken he felt like. The buffet was OK for breakfast, closed for lunch and pretty rough for dinner. the folks that worked in there were much friendlier, though. The good: The Mexican and Italian restaurants were nice and the pool, beach and views are super. Overall, it was a choice that the six of us made, and it was not the best choice. All inclusive here isn't what you would expect as far as liquor and cocktails. Food is good, an excellent entertainment staff, but be careful with the drinks since they use very low quality brands.

Outstanding resort. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was better than we expected. Make sure you book a reservation at the Benazuza Restaurant. This is a dining experience you will not beleive. They call this molecular cuisine. Where the food becomes the protagonist of the evening.

If you're going to Cancun for the beach,ocean and sun this resort is a good deal. That being said,the food is adequate,service is adequate and the hotel rooms could use some updating. I heard the people above me walking around and moving furniture on their balcony at all hours.There were tiny ants crawling all over the walls in the bathroom.My view […] from the balcony was a parking lot.Some of the staff were very pleasant others were just there to do a job.The introduction to the facility that I got at the front desk was minimal. I was given a very small black and white copied map of the grounds which could have been a little more descriptive,like what floors the restaurants were on. Also,the website boasted "All-inclusive", however I was told that internet was an additional charge and there were places that I was not allowed to go #coffee bar, VIP bar and 1 of the 5 sit-down restaurants#. One of the restaurants is a little fancy and requires reservations which I was not made aware of until I was standing in front of the Host and an empty diningroom,not sure why I needed a reservation for 1 and the place was empty and open for business! I was never told where the gym was and it was not on the map,I concluded that they didn't have one.As far as the water sports,I never saw kayaks, paddleboats or surfboards.And communication can be a barrier if you don't know Spanish. As a gay couple we liked the hotel, but this is more a sugestion. They should improve the gym and charging $ 10.00 for the sauna is weird. The spa was only girls working and it is a weird for the gay people go there. Also add a small dance club and some attration for the gay community. This was our first time to Cancun and we were very excited about the all-inclusiveness of the hotel. Upon arriving, we were hoping to get a bunch of information on what the hotel had to offer or other activities in the area. We also found that between 10-12 and 4 and 6 pm there wasn't anything open. There was also a distinct, unpleasant smell on the 5th floor near the sunset lounge. Which is were our room was located. In spite of all of these critiques, we would recommend the hotel. I was okay with having to pay extra for the internet, but I could not get a signal in my room. Which provided to be a great inconvenience. There was also a lot of smoking which was no bueno. The pros would be: 1) having convenient car rental on the premises $30 per day. 2)south side of the riviera, while further from the action of the riviera, it meant that we were the first dropped off after all day excursions. 3) very friendly staff (minus the front desk) 4) Clean hotel 5) room stocked with drinks including bottled water. Our room was only cleaned ONCE out of our 3 nights staying here...and it was due to our request at front desk. The bathtub has dirt in every corners. Food was very limited at this resort, only 3 places you can pick...and none of them are good. BE AWARE of Membership Sales person...they are everywhere. They were nice to you and make you feel like you […] are the top VIP....until you turn them down. Just FYI, the basic membership price starts at $50,000(US Dollars) for 20 years and you are obligated to pay in full in 4 years. So..BE AWARE of them. Don't take the Smart Car, they are not worthy it. You pay $30 for daily "insurance", and this insurance doesn't cover anything.(Surprise!). God forbid anything happens, they will take $600.00 from your credit card...even it's a tiny little scratch. And they lost my paper works when I need to return the car. Anything good? Weather and location...oh..sorry...forgot it's in Cancun : ) Any suggestion? Go somewhere else and stay away from this one. The hotel was nice. We liked that the lounge chairs had nice thick pads so they were comfortable to lay on. The beach was beautiful and well kept. The ocean was nice, because it had a sand bar quite a ways out, and I don't like to swim. We found very large beautiful shells in the ocean right in front of the hotel. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. […] There weren't many restaurants, but the few they had were good. A week after we stayed there they changes the hotel to the gay/bi friendly so we probably won't go back, because we really don't fit in to that category. Our stay was wonderful, the staff was amazing, the food was delicious! But unfortunatly there were some complaints. We were told it was to be an all adult resort and yet we had a crying baby almost wherever we went including next to our room. When we brought this up to the staff they claimed well that happens from time to time and there is nothing to […] do about it. Im sorry but the last thing I want on my honeymoon is a crying whining baby and toddlers. If I am going to return here I would make sure that there are no childen or no way for children to be there, with that happening I wouldn't say it ruined my honeymoon but it did put a damper on it. This is a very nice hotel for couples and adults. Lots of step in the complex so ederly and handcap might have problems. The food is good and many choices. Was not a fan of all the places to eat closing at 4:00 and 4:30 and then three choices opening at 6:30 until 10 ish. The lobby and sunset bars have NO blenders, what is that!! Great to relax! Very quiet, very clean!! Every morning they clean every corner of the resort. Many lounge chairs available but not too close to each other so good for privacy. Agree with other reviewers about the pushy sell on their timeshare (grand oasis) presentation, we did not go. Not much to do at night, besides the sunset bar, or if weather is not that great. This is a great resort for the price that we got our room for. Plus we also got a free upgrade to an ocean view room on arrival. That was totally worth it. Most all-inclusives in Cancun boast of tons of features which include 20 restaurants and bars. We were here for 5 nights and the on-site restaurants and bars were more than what we could want. Just returned from the Oasis Sens and we had a wonderful experience. The food was good, staff was friendly and helpful and the room was great. Housekeeping came a little later in the day a couple of times but it wasn't a big deal. Manuel at the Moonlight restaurant was a great waiter, made us want to go back to the restaurant again and again. The gourmet […] restaurant requiring a reservation was an interesting experience, the restaurant wasn't full but after experiencing the meal I understand why they keep it that way. The setting of the hotel was great, no kids were around and the hotel was nice and relaxing. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and bus fare is cheap ($8.60 pesos, $1 USD) and run a lot. When we arrived the bellman greeted us, took our bags and escorted us to the VIP checkin. Checkin was a breeze. The bellman took our luggage and showed us to our room. This is an adults only all inclusive hotel spanning a wide range of age groups. Rooms are spacious and modern with plasma TVs, LED lighting, minibar, coffee maker and safety deposit box. The hotel is immaculately clean and the friendliness of the staff in all areas is amazing. The beach is clean and sandy with a good supply of loungers and shaded area. […] There are a variety of pools all impeccably clean. There is a variety of casual restaurants for lunch themed round sushi, Mexican, chicken and burgers/hot dogs in addition to a main buffet restaurant and an Italian. For dinner its a choice of buffet or Italian and there is a reservation only restaurant featuring a "show" of avant garde cuisine which was impressive and different but perhaps not as enjoyable as a great steak dinner! I would rate the food overall as average to good but not very memorable. The bars had a very limited offering of drinks which we were told was because it was low season (October) so budgets were tight. There is much that the hotel should do to improve its offering of wines - those included within the all inclusive package were pretty undrinkable. Entertainment during the day and at night was below average but this was not important for us. Overall we would not hesitate to return to this hotel - there are other hotels within the same Oasis group in Cancun that target a younger audience - but for couples it offers excellent value and the friendliest of service. Too many stairs. Can't get to swim-up bar very easy. Wall between swim up bar and main pool or have to get out of pool and use stairs and re-enter pool to get to swim-up bar. The buffet seems like it is in a basement and not much scenery to look at. The staff is excellent and the food is great. No music around the main pool which is too quiet for me […] but others seem to like it. Loved using the day pass to visit the Grand Oasis and Oasis Palm. Would probably stay at the Grand Oass next time because it is a much more party atmosphere and has more choices to eat. We loved our room with the balcony and the mood lighting. I wish the Mexican restaurant was open for dinner because lunch was great. The band plays too early in the sunset bar because they were really good and they play when the shows are playing so not many guests can see them. Loved releasing the turtles every night. For the most part we really enjoyed our stay at the Oasis Sens. The food was pretty ordinary with the exception of one specialty restaurant that served wildly creative dishes. The rooms were beautiful, and being that its Cancun, we had beautiful views. The pool was shallow, rather small, and the atmosphere at the pool was very slow. Luckily we were […] able to visit the sister resorts which had a much more energetic pool atmosphere. (music, volleyball, etc.) The staff was very hit and miss, but we as well as the group we were with found them to be generally unhelpful and often rude. One of the biggest disappointments, was when we arrived and found out that all the claims of free non motorized water sports at the beach was false. They actually denied offering this on their website. (it is there!) Overall we had a good time, and I would recommend staying at this hotel IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Continua a leggere

We went here for our honeymoon and had a great time overall with few disappointments. This Oasis hotel was much more relaxing and quieter than the others that we checked out while we were there. Not many kids at all and no activities visible for children. We were disappointed that there were no non-motorized water sports available as was advertised! […] We were really looking forward to kayaking, snorkeling, etc. and having that included in our hotel fees but it was NOT. No sign of any kind of water sports. You can sign up for day-trips and excursions- we went with BEST DAY travel and really enjoyed the 2 we did. Staff was wonderful- very friendly and service oriented (especially at dining locations). Room was ok- it smelled a little funky at first but probably due to the fact that a hurricane hit the day before we got there and water may have leaked in to give it a musty smell. This went away. Cleaning staff was great. We loved the international buffet and the mexican restaurant- the italian place and the fancy "reservations only" restaurant were a complete JOKE and disgusting!!! Enjoyed my stay at the Oasis Sens. Upon arrival we received welcome drinks and cold towels. Check-In took about 10 mins and was quick and easy. Made reservations to Bennazuza the same day and food was delicious at all of the restaurants. Pools and Beach are amazing. People were cleaning and 24hrs a day to make sure everything stayed in tip top shape. […] Staff was beyond helpful and polite. Book an Ocean View room on either Floors 5,6,7 or 8. Overall our stay at the Oasis Sens was a major disappointment. The food, customer service, entertainment or lack thereof, and lack of variety made this anything but a five star resort. I would never return to this resort, or recommend this resort to anyone looking to travel to Cancun. I liked that the hotel was right on the beach (probably like most hotels). The four restaurants had delicious food and the pools overlooked the ocean. This hotel is great for couples. There were no kids or anyone under the age of 25 that we saw. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There was a great selection of liquor there such as Stoli, Smirnoff, Bacardi and Absolute. There are other brands there like Grey Goose and Johnny Walker but for an extra charge. The hotel is well run and friendly. The all-inclusive is great. The food is good especially Mr. Chicken. There is a reservation only 5-star restaurant (Careyes) which serves 19-courses Mexican-fusion food and drinks for dinner and at least 10 courses breakfast. All other walk-in restaurants/snack bars serves good food especially breakfast buffet. The nightly shows are just small dance shows. The fire show is great and fun. All other shows are just alright. The hotel is very quiet and great pool and drinks are great. They serve good cocktails too. The room is big. We are family of three and we got two double beds. The double beds are small for two so we asked for a rollaway bed. The hotel gave us one without extra charge and even with this extra comfortable rollaway bed (a single bed with real mattress) and the room is still very roomy. We all enjoyed the hotel a lot. We took buses to downtown to few shopping malls in the hotel zone. The bus system is so great that we enjoyed hopping up and down the bus and the wait time is less than 5 minutes most of the time. We stayed in one of the VIP rooms with the pool on the deck and it was worth every penny. Dinner at Benazuza was one of the most amazing original dinners i have ever eaten. That dinner alone, would have cost us the room rate in Dallas. The other food at the resort was good, but not great. Although i have never had absolutely amazing food at any all […] inclusive. The pool area is one of the best i have seen, you can just stare out at the ocean which sipping drinks in the pool. With virtually no obstructed view. Great for couples, plenty of space and pool area. Beach access was phenomenal and great ocean views. Only thing that could've been better was the food, but it was the off season and there weren't many guests so I imagine their food choices were a bit more limited.
