"Nice but noisy AC/heat unit"
The hotel was fine but the AC/heat unit was very loud and we could not get a good night sleep. We did not notice it until we were ready for bed so we did not ask hotel to change rooms.
"Comfort Inn Ithaca"
This is a perfectly nice hotel. It's on a busy commercial strip, so it's convenient to stores and pretty convenient to Ithaca College (5-10 minute drive) and Cornell. But it's not a scenic spot. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. This is an affordable and comfortable choice if you're visiting the colleges or the town of Ithaca.
"Overall nice hotel"
Everything was nice about the hotel except the toilet bowl that wasn't very clean. But all other things were quite clean, nice, comfortable. Breakfast was good and the service was good.
I love this hotel stood there twice since my daughter started Ithaca College. Staff is very friendly.

"Ithaca Comfort Inn"
Very convenient while attending open house at Cornell. Very close to campus as well as Collegetown for dining. Great location and value.
"Hotel was very nice"
This was a nice, comfortable and quiet hotel. It's close to Buttermilk Falls State Park and anything else in Ithaca and is reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, too.

The hotel is centrally located. Is surrounded by wonderful and "limitless" restaurants. The staff at the reception are so helpful. I had booked for double room and checked in on friday Nov, 18th 2011 andchecked out on Sunday 21st. There was a mild smell of cigarretes/ smoke in the room, though it looked clean, spacious and everything working well. My […] dissappointment was one of the towel was dirty and one bedsheed had red stains on it. I alerted the staff and was latr changed. "Comfort Inn Ithaca"
This was one of the more affordable hotels in Ithaca. I should have known you get what you pay for. Upon check-in, we were "greeted" by the desk clerk, who was not overly helpful when asked questions. The hotel was a bit shabby, and did not seem to be maintained well. Our room had numerous marks on the walls, some cobwebs on the ceiling, and the bathroom […] had hair in the tub. There were a number of problems with the toilet, too. The bottom back of the toilet was dirty, the toilet seat was broken and slid when sat upon, and there was also a gouged scratch on the seat. The included breakfast looked just okay, but since the room and foyer were unkept, we were concerned with eating there, so we went elsewhere. On a positive note, the bed mattress was newer & comfortable although the pillows were the size of throw pillows one would find on a couch. It was not the worst room ever, but I definitely would not stay here again. I'd rather pay a few dollars more for better maintained accomodations. Continua a leggere
"Relatively convenient location; OK value"
This Comfort Inn is on Route 13 a couple of miles south of the Cornell campus. It is pretty easy to get to everything one needs in Ithaca including Culture Shock. The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable with free wi-fi and breakfast. At typical Comfort Inn rates it would be a good deal. Because of Parents Week-end at Cornell and Spirit Week-end […] at IC hotel rooms were in short supply and Comfort Inn jacked up its rates to sort of Ritz Carlton levels. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Nice hot shower in the am with plenty of water pressure. Good coffee and a huge choice of continental breakfast items including sausage, eggs, waffles, juices, etc. Very nice hotel for the money; would definitely stay there again.

clean hotel, conveniently located a few minutes drive to the university and college. This is the first time we brought our dog with us and it was a pleasure... Hotel very clean, with no pet odor!!
"Might stay again...If the Marriott is booked"
Hotel was okay but it seemed like a lot of money for a small hotel that seemed dated. The room felt cramped because of big furniture but the finishes were nice and it was very clean. This location is pretty convenient to some of the "strip-mall" type places - like Wal-Mart, Panera, Barnes and Nobel, etc but the traffic could be bad at times as well. "Graduation weekend"
Certainly not the highest grade of hotel but was clean, the staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was well stocked. Would definitely recommend if visiting Ithaca College as was convenient to the area.
"Just what we needed"
The hotel was very convenient to a wedding we were attending. While the road was very commercial, there was minimal noise at night. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Room small but adequate, clean. Nice bathroom. Breakfast as expected.
"nice pet friendly hotel in Ithaca area"
Very easy to walk our dogs- right outside our bedroom. Hotel seemed relaxed about pets. Room was standard, but ok, and it was a treat to be able to open the door to the outside, use the screen for fresh area, etc.
I got what I hoped for at this price point - a nice clean, comfortable hotel. There was even a pretty good breakfast included. I will stay there again.

Decent hotel with continental breakfast plus waffle station included, but they need more room to accommodate guests during breakfast. Surrounding, largely industrial location is a bit unsightly. Easy access to Cornell University and Ithaca College.

"Just okay..."
We were a little disappointed that this Comfort inn was not as nice as some we've stayed in before. The decor was the same but this hotel seemed shabbier. The bathroom was not as new and although the bedding was the same, it seemed older or not maintained as well. "Attitude of employees"
In the past few months I have stayed a several hotels in the area (not always using Hotels.com) and by far this is one of the worse. Upon arriving at this hotel they pull out this book and stated that the room I stayed in last time had damages,ie. broken chair and broken microwave. I stated to them that I neither touch or use any of those items. They […] did not charge me but to even insinuate this was unprofessional, they must have know these items was broken before but to put them in a book under my name just p***** me off. The Comfort Inn was wonderful! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and newly decorated. The beds are comfy and the food is good! It is located in walking distance from shopping and dining. The manager is very helpful and responded to our needs right away. They are very accommodating to senior citizens.
Clean, pleasant; and conveniently located. The continental breakfast was very nice. The front desk and breakfast staff were helpful with directions to local stores.
Very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

"Never Dissapointed"
Stay here almost every time I see my son up at school...the prices are reasonable, the rooms are always clean, and the staff is very friendly. In this price range that's about as good as it gets.
I had my concerns about this hotel based on some other reviews I had seen, but I was pleasantly surprised upon entering my room. We spent just one night while dropping our daughter off at Cornell and it was completely adequate for this purpose. Not luxurious, but clean and conveniently located near stores, restaurants and the local colleges. I did think […] it was way overpriced, but I suspect prices go up when the college crowd is in town. "Ithaca Hotel Great location for us."
The free breakfast was outstanding. Unfortunately the room where you eat is also the lobby and it is very tiny. You eat amongst people coming and going and are right on top of the front desk. We had to eat outside in the parking lot where they had set up two more tables because there was no room.
Absolutely horrible. Dirty, smelly. Sucked
"Cleanliness not a priority at this hotel"
When we checked in the room the first thing we noticed was the discarded soap wrapper behind the toilet and water on the floor. So we called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person right away. He checked the toilet and wiped up the water and said that it was "gross" behind the toilet, which looked like it had never been cleaned. After looking […] he said it was probably sweat. Well we stayed that night and it was still wet on the floor so we checked out and came home early. The housekeeping staff were clearly sloppy as was evident by the bathroom floor and empty box of kleenex in the bathroom as well. Won't stay here again. Continua a leggere
