My favourite place to stay in Halifax, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, great food. Very convenient location, I leave my car parked and walk to shop, sight see, see a movie.

Check in was efficient, close to the places we wanted to go to - within walking distance, suitable breakfast, check out was efficient, room was clean and comfortable - everything we needed except a shower cap (got one at the Main Desk)
"Would never recommend this hotel!"
Not only did I not receive the room I had booked, but myself and two other guests received numerous noise complaints at 10 pm. We were playing a board game on New Years Eve. Not making much noise at all. The hotel was also very expensive with not much to offer. I was also charged X amounts of $ for under ground parking when I could have parked in the […] upper area for no charge. I was not even informed of this or the fact that I would be charged at all for parking. I will continue to let people know how they should not book through Expedia or stay at this hotel! Both my wife and I were very pleased with our stay. Only thing that we would have like to see was for the hotel to have either a pool or a hot tub.

"Great location and rooms, noisey nabours"
Hotel was great in every way. To bad for us when we stayed there was a few rooms of people that thought they where the only guess on the floor and kept us up till 3 am. The staff had to get the cops in to help get them out. But the quality of the hotel was great
"Relaxing position"
We stayed in a studio suite on the third floor for two nights and had a great time. The hotel is opposite the citidal and about four blocks from the harbour (all down hill) so be prepared for the walk back. The reception staff were always welcoming and helpful with a special mention for Andie and Holley. "Cambridge in Halifax"
I had reserved my room in May for last week in September and when I checked in, was put in conference room with a giant table and chairs, on a folddown bed. Very disappointed!
"Great Halifax Hotel..convenient and clean"
Very nice hotel, loved the 1:00 PM check out. Gives a little more time to relax and rest before getting on the road again. Only problem is short continental breakfast time offered..very short and too early. But great location for walking and sightseeing in Halifax

The Cambridge Suites Hotel is a great hotel, in a great location. The Citadel is a short walk away and the harbour front is about 10 minutes away. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay downtown Halifax.

"Cambridge Suites Halifax N.S.-Look at the View!"
Cambridge has a rooftop patio with an amazing view of Halifax Harbour and Cititel Hill. This updated modern hotel is located in the downtown core. Great for the Hip traveller. If the nightlife is your scene this is the place to be. Close to all bars and restaurants. I loved the eco body products and the fact that they recycle and compost.

"Cambridge Suites Halifax--nice place but..."
Overall this was an excellent choice but there were a few hiccups that warrant only a slight rant. On the positive side, staff were extremely friendly, helpful and considerate. Unfortunately I was placed on the same floor as a kid's hockey team and they were literally running up and down the hall screaming, so that was unpleasant and hardly the hotel's […] fault. Plus kids are kids, but wasn't expecting that kind of disturbance. Secondly when I got to breakfast at around 10am on a saturday, nearly everything was gone and the pickings were really slim. Had a long wait for hot water to make tea. Finally, I had arranged through the concierge for a shuttle to the airport the night before I left. They told me how much it would cost but neglected to tell me that the shuttle only took cash. So when I boarded the shuttle there was the hassle of having to run back out and find the pricey no-name bank machine so I could give the dude cash. All that being said, the room was great, very clean, nice modern design and spacious and all of the above stuff is in my view, general consequences of travelling and part of the journey. But incase it helps anyone, there's my two cents. I'm a tough marker so they get 4/5 because there's a teeny bit of room to improve. Continua a leggere

The staff at this hotel went out of their to be friendly and helpful. The location is a short walk to most things for the average adult. However, keep in mind that there is quite a steep hill down to the harbor. If you are staying with small children, like we were, it made things much less convenient. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. A modern motiff […] done a long time ago. The bathroom in our suite had quite a bit of mold in grout and tub surround which was disconcerning for bathing an infant. There is a very small restaurant were the continental breakfast was held. "Good hotel in a good location"
This hotel is in a good location, next to the Citadel and only a few blocks from the harbor (although those are UPHILL!). We rented three rooms and they were all clean, quiet and comfortable. WIFI was provided along with all the usual amenities. We ate out the first night were were there, but ate in a the restaurant in the hotel (Dofsky's) and the […] food was as good as 5 Fishermen, quite a bit cheaper, and much more convenient. Breakfast was acceptable and had all the usual components. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced, and checkout was painless (even though we left at 4am there was someone available to handle our bill). Not much of a view, but we spent so little time in the room it didn't matter. There is a great view from the roof/workout room/spa, but we didn't have time to use it. I loved the decor of the hotel and the room (junior suite) was spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient and the staff were very accommodating. Great breakfast setup too! Having stayed at other hotels in Halifax, this would now be my first choice for future stays.
