Preparatevi a trascorrere l'intera giornata al Museum of Metropolitan Art. Il 'Met' è un museo monumentale di fama mondiale che ospita numerosi capolavori, da un antico tempio nubiano ancora intatto a studi post-moderni sui colori.

The welcome upon check-in was really warm. Our bags had not flown over on the same flight as us, but the receptionist assured us they would do all they could to ensure we got our bags asap. They didn't disappoint. The cheese and wine reception was a joy after a day of sightseeing and working but I wouldn't describe Baby Bell's as artisanal cheese. The […] photographs on hotel site of the wine and cheese reception are misleading, but the event is enjoyable all the same. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with the guy on check out who ensured our car was booked in time for the airport run. The hotel is small however so if you ask for service, e.g iron and board, it may not be available until the guy on shift has finished his break. The view was appalling - a wall - but that didn't worry us at all. The shower was fantastic - a big must where I'm concerned - and the toiletries were beautiful Bulgari products. The most comfortable thing about the room was the bed which was great. There was a tear on the sheet but overall the room was great - but SO SMALL. There was no storage. It was a real problem - we had nowhere to store the suitcase let alone our clothes. Location was great - not the prettiest street but close to Central Park. The hotel also had lots of beautiful details such as the traditional lift, mosaics in the hotel etc. We found this to be a peaceful retreat in a brilliantly busy city, Continua a leggere
Although the room was small, the room and hotel were clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful, accomodating and friendly.
"The Franklin Hotel-NYC-cozy, boutique hotel"
Love the ambience of this little hotel. Stayed there 3 years ago and couldn't wait to get back. This time some of the polish had worn off (the furniture needed some sprucing up and the food served at the breakfast and cocktail hour had declined somewhat, but it was still enjoyable). The intimancy of the common rooms affords the opportunity to meet and […] chat with other guests from other lands. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I signed up to receive e-mail offers, but none have come so far. Continua a leggere
"The Franklin Hotel, walkable to many attractions"
We have stayed here many times, at different times of year. The staff are friendly and always very helpful. Our family live nine blocks away and we are half way between them and the Museums and central Park.We like The Franklin because it has character.

First rate. Will strongly recommend to allmy friends. A great New York experience.
"Very cozy hotel in the nicest part of NYC"
This hotel is located right in the middle of the upper east side near numerous restaurants and about 5 minutes walk away from Central Park. The room we got was a small but it was very cozy and nicely decorated.
"Nice location"
Hotel is conveniently located next to 86th street subway station (all trains stop) as well as central park. Generally service was very good, room was very tidy and breakfast ok. On a negative side, room was very small and air conditioning wasn't working all that good. Breakfast was ok but nothing spectacular (limited selection). Summary: small and […] cosy hotel. "Quaint UES stay"
Quaint place in the upper east side convenient to the 4, 5, and 6 on 86th street. Very quite area, friendly staff, nice room with extremely comfortable bed. The only downfall is that there is no control of the heat and we had to use the AC in the dead of the winter. The Happy hour and breakfast pickings was more of a continental package cheese airport […] lounge kind of deal. Continua a leggere
"Hotel Franklin New York"
The Franklin's strengths are an excellent location, convenient to the upper East side museums, a very comfortable bed, and good shower. However, the rooms are tiny and the carpets and general upkeep a little run-down, although everything seems to be impeccably clean.
"The Franklin in New York"
We had a lovely time there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat. The breakfast was wonderful and the happy hour every day was just the right touch after site seeing. I can't wait to visit again.
"Franklin Hotel"
Our stay for one night was comfortable and the service at the hotel was very attentive. The complementary breakfast was perfect as we did not have time to look for a restaurant. We would definitely return.
"Small but friendly hotel"
Small hotel with good location (close to bus and metro stations) and friendly treatment. I plan to come back to this hotel in my next trips to NY.
Everything was ok, but we had to pay a service charge of $12 per day, which we weren't expecting. They should've told us this when we checked in.
"Small and quaint"
first time at this sweet little boutique hotel . Small rooms , but very nicely appointed. Enjoyed the original charm of the building. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Loved chatting with other guests at the complimentary cocktail hour. Great neighborhood with shops , museums and restaurants within walking distance.
"Franklin Hoel"
It is a charming little hotel in uptown, near the Lex and 3rd avenue activity. The service was excellent, the workers respectful and charming, the room clean and neat. The room was small but the bed was very large. Breakfast was usual, croissant, coffee, yogurt, etc. A good coffee machine. There was a mistake made in my telephone billing. I was charged […] about $150 for calls I never made. When I reported it, however, they changed the billing and didn't charge me. Continua a leggere

"Small but decent"
The hotel was smaller and older than I expected. They don't have individual air control in the rooms, so you either heat or freeze. Also very loud banging sounds early in the morning due to radiator. Room however was very cute, very comfortable king bed (a luxury in NY). Small closet (only good for 1), but clean bathroom. Also very convenient to subway […] and access to gym NY sports club 1 block away at no extra charge. Ultimately I would definitely stay there again. Continua a leggere
"do not stay here"
The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood but... the staff is diffident at best, the room not clear (cobwebs everywhere), the general condition of the hotel is in sad shape, the breakfast is a joke and the size of the bathroom was laughable - a normal sized man could not fit near the sink.

"Well kept, convenient (but small)"
This hotel in many ways is a gem: a very nice renovation of an old building, in a convenient location near the express subway on the upper east side, with a thoughful if not extravagant continental breakfast. Good things in the neighborhood for business travel: cafe, gym, drug store, walkable restaurants. Rooms are quite small: I paid a bit extra for […] a larger version, but the bathroom sink was in an alcove so narrow I could not face forward to use it (my shoulders are a 44 in a man's suit). That said, I am and will be a repeat customer here - it's a good choice. Continua a leggere

Good location. Comfortable bed. Extemely clean. Staff very nice. Sweet and helpful. Great little cafe machine in lobby. Tasty mini-breakfast in morning. Nice to have local NYT to read. Downside: Rooms very small. Hard to turn around or open luggage. Unclear what extra fee covers each day. Overall perfect for proximity to Met Museum we were visiting. "A little small but some strong points"
I loved the location being close to the subway and within walking distance to central park i thought the rooms were too small even for one and the security was not very good, doors left open, continental breakfast was lovely and staff was warm and accomodating
"Great hotel for your parents to stay"
I recently reserved this hotel for my father and his wife to stay at while attending our engagement party. His wife's first comment was how clean the room was and that is the most important thing for her when staying in a hotel. We arrived before the check-in time of 3pm. The desk clerk was very nice and offered to hold their bags while we took a […] walk in central park. I choose this hotel mainly for its great location that is within walking distance to anything they would need. It's also probably one of the safest neighborhoods in Manhattan. Thanks Franklin Hotel! They had a great visit. Continua a leggere
"The Franklin Hotel in New York"
This boutique hotel is small, quaint and very clean, and I mean from the hallways to the room and bathroom. The cleaning of the bathroom was meticulous, just wished for softer towels. Our room decor was very pleasing and bed was very comfortable (just like the pictures shown). We booked a standard queen but got a petite queen which is very small (please […] check before getting settled in). We didn't make a fuss because I only needed two day for my appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. If you are looking for a large lobby (very small) this hotel is not for you. It does have a small waiting/reading room to the left of the front desk. Continua a leggere
"Franklin Hotel~"
Pleasant and professional Staff. Small (our choice), clean, and comfortable room. Good continental breakfast, wine and cheese in afternoon. Nice neighborhood. Walking distance to museums and park. We will be staying there again when in NY.
"Franklin Hotel, NY - Good and Bad"
This boutique hotel on E87th is good if you need to be in this neighborhood. The rooms are small, the first room they put my wife and me in was so small we couldn't put our lluggage down. But the staff was great, they put us in a larger room - luckily it was available. The morning breakfast and afternoon wine and snacks were an added treat.

"Hotel Franklin"
Rooms are very small, but clean. Breakfast was very good, and nice old small hotel
"If You Are Observant and/or Jewish Don't Stay Here"
The hotel is in a convenient location. It has the antique architectural details of an older hotel, mixed with modern amenities. The bed is comfortable, more like my bed that is covered with down comforters. That is the best part. Now, I am a kosher vegan and was told when I arrived that I would be required to pay a mandatory surcharge for breakfast. […] It was refunded, but I was then told that it was only a one time courtesy. Better hotels and even moderately priced hotels have continental breakfasts for the average guest that is included in the cost. Furthermore, if you forget anything, like a toothbrush or paste, you will pay for it here, unlike at other hotels. The place is cramped. You do not control the ventilation. Let's not forget the absorbant surcharge for "amenities", the snacks and wine, that they have displayed in the room. Although I had my laptop and the wireless worked fine, I would not venture to ask if there was a computer and printer set up for guests, like the better hotels provide as a courtesy as well. If it did, I would guess that would be an additional charge also. Continua a leggere
"HElpful and Accommodating Staff"
We were in NY to visit our daughter. She met us in the lobby, a bit wet for the rainy day, the staff were very gracious, offering her coffee, a chance to sit and visit. they could not have been more welcoming!

"Love this upper east side boutique hotel"
I was there alone and stayed in the small petite room. It was small but I was there alone and it was perfect for one person. If there are two people def stay in one of the larger rooms. The staff was so nice and friendly and the breakfast and wine hour were fantastic. It has a very european feel to it. Every morning I would run to central park (about […] 5 minute walk) or to the NY sports club (the hotel gave me guest passes) which was very nice. I would def recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the upper east side. For me, I am 30 and want to be in a more lively neighborhood so next time I will prob stay in soho/tribeca area but absolutely loved this hotel. Continua a leggere
"Great hotel, but plan for the location"
The hotel and our room met our expectations. They were reasonably comfortable if only a little on the small side, clean, and furnished with beautiful light fixtures and new electronics (ipod docking clock/radio and flat screen tv). The staff was also courteous and helpful. We had business on the UES but also wanted to do some sight seeing while in manhattan. […] The location was perfect for being in the UES, but a bit of a hassle for tourists, however hotels in midtown or lower will not be as nice, but will cost just as much. Continua a leggere
room was great, very clean, well decorated. As expected very small. Only complaint is lack of control over heat. Stayed an extra night
"Nice little hotel"
Quick easy check in. Very pleased with the stay. Nice convenient location. Parking garage right next door made it very convenient. The other reviews talk about a great European breakfast, which is a little overblown. It's some cheese, ham and croissants. Other than that. great little place to stay.
"Hotel Franklin in New York City"
This is a tiny little hotel on the Upper East Side that reminded me of small but very decent hotels in Paris. It's not fancy at all, but it was clean and had a nice little breakfast room for a free Continental breakfast. Good quality breakfast food and good espresso coffee set the day up nicely. The very tiny room had what one needed, and the bed was […] very comfortable. Continua a leggere

"We love the Franklin Hotel!"
I have stayed at the Franklin Hotel several times before and have enjoyed myself every time. This is a asmall, charming hotel with small but comfortable rooms. It is much more like a European hotel than a New York one. A delicious continental breakfast is included with the room and there is a light snack provided in the afternoon. The only drawback […] to our otherwise lovely room is the size of the bathroom which is minute. In spite of that I would stay here again whenever I could. Continua a leggere

"Cozy Comfortable Hotel"
We loved our stay. The rooms are quite small, but the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. Everything was the utmost in comfort - beds, rain showerhead, and very quiet. Loved the cappuchino machine!
"Romantic ambiance"
The room was quite small, of which I was prepared for after reading reviews of this hotel. But it was lovely and charming and just enough for a overnight stay, would not recommend a longer stay. "Charming Hotel"
Room was small but clean and efficiently deigned. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Appreciated the wine and cheese afternoon receptions and a good continental breakfast.
"I'd come back - in the winter"
I was at first taken aback by the tiny size of the room, but it was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and fine for me by myself. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent, especially the capuccino machine. The only problem is that the window air condition unit was deafeningly loud. I turned it and off opened the window since it was […] fairly cool outside, but this could be a problem on a hot night. Continua a leggere
"Handsome hotel, recently renovated, excellent service, plenty of charm"
I was very happy with my stay at The Franklin. The hotel is nicely located in the Upper East Side. There are two garages on the same street, if you drive there. Upon my arrival, the staff and bellman were very polite, welcoming, and helpful. The antique elevator adds to the charm. The room was New York-small but appropriate. The room was fresh, bright, […] and clean. Chandelier, plasma tv, modern bowl sink, new tile in bathroom (travertine?), nice shower and toilet - all new in the last year or two. Bed was very comfortable and linens bright white and fresh. Service was excellent. European breakfast was very nice. Walking distance to Central Park, Guggenheim, and the Met. Some nice restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Excellent experience overall and I would easily recommend as an older boutique hotel with plenty of character and great service that was recently updated. Continua a leggere

the room was very small though i was alone and very inconvenient for business trip. wifi was unavailable for 5 nights among 7 nights of my stay. never use this hotel.....
"Lit et draps fabuleux"
Bon emplacement. Continua a leggere
