La posizione del hotel e' ottima, vicina a ristoranti e cafe', ma tutto il resto e' piuttosto scarso a partire dalla camera standardin cui alloggiavamo che puzzava di muffa e la moquette era impregnata di umidita'.Bagno piccolo ma letti confortevoli. La colazione e' cara con prodotti di bassa qualita' e il servizio a tavola scarso, non certo da mancia!! […]  La spiaggia adiacente all'hotel non e' balneabile e la piscina piuttosto piccola e con pochi lettini a disposizione. Una nota positiva invece spetta al personale della reception, molto gentile e di grande aiuto. Recently upgraded by Courtyard (was an Aston). Excellent right-on-the-beach location. Was quiet and restful when I was there.

The hotel was awesome!! Unfortunately, the weather was severe before we went, and the hotel was damaged, and therefore there was some construction going on during our stay. This was not their fault, but it was annoying, as we were trying to rest during the day, and the banging was continuous during the day...but we understand. Everyone was great at […] the hotel, but I would hot recommend the spa, as we made an apointment, and the staff did not show up....not great, as we waited, and lost half a day because of this. The service at this hotel was awful. We stayed here a week. The service from the front desk was unhelpful 90% of the time. They called me one day and told me I had a fax. I went to the front desk to be told there was nothing for me. The next day, after I was told by the sender that there was in fact something for me, they were holding a package... not […] a fax. They didn't even look the first time. There were supposed to be cocktail servers by the pool they almost never came around. The bathtub was filled with moldy streaks. We called for pay per view and was told they would be up to fix it, no one showed up. So we called the front desk to be told it is and has been down! The food and drinks in the restaurant were tolerable, but not really worth eating. The restaurants near the hotel were not worth speaking about either. Continua a leggere

fine once we got into a room. We only stayed 1 night while our house was being cleaned but we found the room to be very comfortable. We had problems checking in because of the rain and everyone checking out late. After a 2 hr wait I asked it they had any other rooms ready and the clerk said they did but were more expensive. We were so tired from our […] plane ride and it was getting close to dinner so I said fine. It seems to me, though, since we did have a reservation and we had to wait quite a bit for a room that should have been ready, a discount could have been offered. Other than that the room was fine. For Marrtiott standards, It was OK...parking is expensive although not gated and open to everyone to park....rooms are not that nice but not bad either.

The hotel and it's location ......simply lovely!!! The room beautiful and spotless.....the bedding first quality........check in...the worst employee EVER ! She was rude, incorrect about my booking w/ Hotels.com. I am a Hawaii resident.........she showed NO Aloha....I am a member of Marriott have been for close to 30 years.........I intend to let the […] Marriott chain know about this woman. The Courtyard by Marriot at Coconut beach is an excellent hotel. Just a short drive from the airport with many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was very polite and professional. Definitely one of my best hotel experiences. Parking was unfortunately not included.

Beautifully remodeled! Love the pool area and beach front. Awesome view. We got more than the great deal we paid. Highly reccomended!!

We very much enjoyed our time at the Marriott however were very disappointed in the standard of breakfast offerred. Aussies do not eat chocolate or multi coloured cereals rather require wholesome muesli or sugarless products. The fresh fruit however was really appreciated.

They upgraded our room and gave us a free welcome mai tai. Sitting by the outdoor fire and fountain was fabulous.

One of the most beautiful hotels that we have ever stayed at. An amazingly romantic way to begin our honeymoon before we transferred to the Marriott vacation club. The room was beyond our expectations, and the view was out of this world! The staff was friendly, the food was amazing, what more could you ever want?

We have stayed there twice in 2011 for 1 night , waiting for our time share. What a great place. they have really upgraded the hotel on our last visit in December 2011. Great beach for tanning. love the pool furniture. I would stay there again on our trips to Kauai. Had a great ocean/pool view and even though the A/C was not working at the time, never […] really needed it with the ocean breeze at night. Kingbed was very ciomfortable and the staff were very helpful. Only draw back is they charge for parking, even though they have a huge parking lot I'm not sure why... Maybe they need to reconsider? The bed was horrible. The bathroom was terribly small. The "lanai" was about 2sq ft. They charged us for parking, but we didn't have a car. Cleaning staff pounded on our door every morning even though the do not disturb sign was up. I will not stay here again.

The construction at the hotel is nearly at an end and our hotel stay has been wonderful. It is a beautiful hotel with wonderful atmosphere and rooms. One small problem...there is a substantial daily parking charge. I called to complain to Hotels.com, but they reminded me about a disclaimer on the website. Beware.

Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. Beautifull grounds and pool area.

Still undergoing major reconstruction when we stayed 11-6. Enhancing the entry area with a very small area to get to elevator to room. Eating area is open air and at buffet area not very appetizing to see birds eating food off the spoons used to get the food onto our plate.

Hotel is under construction, pool area is completed very nice. Room had musty smell and is humid but very clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and accommodating. Great Value.

When we first arrived, we were surprised to see that the hotel was in the middle of renovating their front lobby and surrounding area. Hotels.com did not inform us about the construction which was a noisy disturbance from 11-4pm everyday. Our room was damp upon entering, because you cannot run the AC unless the lanai door is closed. Took us 2 days to […] dry it out because we got NO sunshine in our room. No breeze either. We noticed mold on the shower curtain and inside the bathroom picture frame. also the bathroom vent fan did not work. And whenever you flushed the toilet it made a horrible screaming sound as it tried to refill it's tank. You could hear the sould from outside the room. The mini fridge was leaking and appeared to have been leaking for a while, as the wood was rotted under it. The television got a horrble picture, because they had it hooked up to HD cable but the unit itself was not an HDTV. :( The service was excellant under the stressful conditions, and the grounds were well maintained dispite the work being done. Would be willing to give this hotel another shot after the rennovation is complete. Continua a leggere

The staff and service was excellent. We had brought with us microwave popcorn on our trip. Since we were unable to find a microwave in the lobby, we called the front desk about one. The person on duty said that there was not a microwave available in the lobby but would try to locate one for us. About a half hour later there was a knock at our room door. […] A staff member had brought a microwave for us to use in our room for the rest of our stay! What a surprise it was for us. We came to this Marriott after spending a week at the Marriott Waohai Beach Club in Poipu. Reason being is that the flights were much cheaper on a Monday. So, to be fair, we were a bit spoiled from our earlier experience. That said, we enjoyed the newly renovated pool area, but would have liked if the pool was heated. The hammocks and comfy chairs were […] a wonderful place to relax, as was the fire pit. We chose to eat in the restaurant based on the wonderful ambiance but we were disappointed with the food quality and the prices were a bit high. The room was clean and nicely renovated but the A/C was practically non-existant - one little unit that cranked all night and provided little cooling at all. Plus there was a musty smell coming from the unit that pretty much made sleep impossible. Overall, for the money, it was what we expected. Beautiful setting, if they could fix the HVAC and offer more affordabble choices in the restaurant, we would give it a higher rating. Continua a leggere

The room was adequate, not great. The food in the restaurant was not very good but the staff was friendly. The location is awesome with a great pool and accessible beach. They have plans to renovate the hotel so I am sure that the rooms will really improve. Staff was helpful. Front desk staff was not very friendly. We found black spots in our bed and […] called the front desk. Not sure what it was but they brought up new sheets that we had to change. The stay at the Courtyard Marriott was nice. The oceanview was beautiful. The pool area was nice and it was just a few steps away from a beautiful beach. The service was great all request were answered in a timely manner. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the restaurant for breakfast. The food was substandard. The hotel beds are a little to soft for our tastes and the air conditioner keeps blasting on and off every ten minutes making it hard to sleep and it gets hot then really cold etc. The hotel is really clean and we enjoyed the beautiful grounds and pool. The staff are really nice and helpful.

The hotel is under reconstruction but it possed no problem. It will continue for another year. No pool but you can use the one next door. Nice beach area, not real great for kids but useable. Great staff. great breakfast and bar if you like. I'll come back.

I booked my reservation in advance through Hotels.com and got a great price. Overall we had a good experience, but we were surprised to find that the hotel was under construction the 10 days while we were there. Lots of construction noise between 8 - 5, including heavy machinery outside our room, with back-up beeping noises! Lounging at the pool was […] not pleasant because of the noise, so we hung out at the beach, which was relatively quiet. The pros - not crowded, pleasant front desk and poolside bar/restaurant staff, clean rooms. The cons - no fan in very small bathroom (could barely close door without hitting toilet), older TV and in-room movies did not work. (They offered to move us, but we had settled into the room for 6 days at that point, and the room they offered to move us to was closer to the construction at that point.) My biggest complaint is that we were not told about the construction in advance. I get migraine headaches and noise exacerbates this condition, so I was pretty miserable at some points during our stay. Continua a leggere

PROS - This hotel is in a great location with a beautiful beach. Room was comfortable and good enough to act as a base for two days of sight-seeing away from the hotel. We didn't spend much time there. CONS - The hotel is under a major renovation. Not just a little construction and clearly has been for a while. I was told that the pool would be closed […] as of April 25th, 2011. None of this was mentioned at the time I reserved the room. The hotel decor is dated and looks worn/beat. It definitely needs the renovation. I reserved an ocean view room. This means that if you can see even a sliver of the ocean from the room they consider it an "ocean view". The room they offered was first floor tucked back in a corner between two wings of the hotel under construction with landscaping blocking the view. I wasn't having any of that and was cheerfully moved to a room away from the construction and with an actual ocean view when I explained that the first room was not acceptable. The staff varies from very friendly to surly. Mostly businesslike. There won't be a lot of catering to your needs as you'll find at the more mid-range and upscale resorts. There were roaches running and flying all over the property including the main lobby during check-in. My kids were amused. I wasn't too bothered. All the construction certainly had stirred them up. My girlfriend was not happy. Some of the other guests were not vacationers. This hotel is not particularly family oriented in my opinion. I wouldn't stay with kids here if I knew at the time I booked the room that it was in this condition. Continua a leggere

Looks like most of the rooms are being renovated - which is a good thing, unfortunately ours was not. Our 1st floor room smelled terribly of de-odorizer when we came in. After trying to air out the room for a few hours, we finally figured out why they had sprayed the room so much - everything metal in the room was corroded and the carpet just seemed […] damp everywhere. The musty/moldy smell just seemed to be on everything. The staff was friendly, and helped us when we needed it. The location is wonderful, just north of the coconut marketplace right on the sandy beach. The pools and restaurant were pleasant, and from what we can see the construction crews were nice and did not seem to be in the way at all and made very little noise. Continua a leggere

Loved staying at the courtyard marriot in Kauai. Was clean and renovated ~ quiet ~ ocean views and beautiful walks ~ close enough to walk to stores or restaurants ~ highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the stay. Great location, could hear the ocean all night. The screen door was broken and didn't lock, but not an issue on 4th floor. The service at the hotel lounge was not great, appetizers good. Would for sure stay again!

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Kauai last week and really enjoyed our stay-- we weren't sure what to expect since it was cheaper than most, but it was a great experience. The hotel is on a small strip of beach, and our view was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Clean hotel with a very nice room and view. There were some renovations being done but these did not inconvenience me at all but there was some noise from power tools during the day whether you were inside or on the beach. I would stay there again for sure but hopefully after the renovations are complete.

This Marriott property was centrally located on the east side of the island, right on the beach. It is an easy drive from the airport and had great views of the ocean. There are shops nearby if you need anything and other hotels within walking distance for dinner. A great value for the money!
