La colazione era poco varia e scarsa. Poco attenti alla pulizia dei tavoli nei cambi degli ospiti durante la colazione. La camera confortevole e pulizia giornaliera con cambio asciugamani e lenzuola a giorni alterni.

L'hotel 17 è un'ottima scelta per un soggiorno a New York, con un eccellente rapporto qualità rapporto/prezzo. La posizione è tra i suoi pregi migliori, logisticamente comodo per spostarsi anche a piedi sia verso il nord che verso il sud di manhattan, e il quartiere offre una vasta scelta di ristoranti e locali per cene e colazioni. Le camere sono abbastanza grandi e pulite, il bagno condiviso non lo abbiamo praticamente mai trovato occupato e sempre pulito.

L'hotel è nuovo e si trova in una buona posizione, a due passi dal Madison Square Garden e da Times square. La camera era grande ed i letti molto comodi. Uniche due pecche significative sono state, la wifi in camera funziona molto male (meglio nella lobby) e il pavimento che non è mai stato lavato (i calzini antiscivolo delle bambine erano neri dopo 5 minuti). Inoltre non vengono forniti accessori da bagno tipo le cuffie per fare la doccia.

Bellissima permanenza, punto ideale per visitare la città collegatissimo e a due passi dalla 5th. Camera non enorme ma comfortevole, sempre pulita e molto curata nell'arredamento. Albergo ad altissimo livello, se avete qualche soldino da spendere andateci. Enjoy NYC

This is the ideal stay for an overnight stay if flying from Newark.. The hotel is very comfortable, especially the beds. Good choices for food, Good gym and swimming pool. If you have time there is a very good tax free mall nearby, Jersey Garden Mall. I have stayed at the hotel a few times and am sue I will stay again.

"Hated it."
Booked a double smoking, stood in line 30 minutes to check in, they gave me a single smoking. When I asked to switch, the man was rude and told me he couldn't switch my room. He later offered us a roll away bed ($$). The staff is rude, the decor is old, it's impossible to get into the hotel b/c the roads around it are crazy, the surrounding neighborhood […] is SKETCHY, and the price they list for parking is for the outdoor parking. You can pay double to park in a garage. Also, getting out of the parking lot is stupid, too. You have to have your room key to leave, so if you've already checked out and ditched your keys, you have to call the front desk and make it an issue just to leave. LAME. Continua a leggere

"Location Not Good For Hockey"
We stayed here to go to Washington Capitals game not convenient for that free shuttle there however took 1.5 hours to get home

This hotel would've had 5 stars from me if not for the clerks. Our toilet tank stopped working about 30 minutes after we got into our room, we called the next morning to have it fixed and the clerk barely allowed me explain the problem before saying "We'll send someone" then she hung up. It took them almost an hour and 2 calls later to send someone. […] And after that our tub was not draining.(ARRRG)...other than that, great hotel, clean, comfortable and quiet. Continua a leggere

The photos posted do no justice. We had a wonderful stay. EVERYONE was helpful, kind, went out of their way to make our accommodations the best. My son even injured himself (finger in the door... OUCH). He is doing well. They bent over backwards to comfort him! The only thing I did not like, was you have to walk 16 mins down the road to catch a city […] bus to the Newark Penn Station. Might not seem long to some, but the neighborhood was not the best and at night, I would not walk, esp with my children. But we drove, so we just parked on Mulberry St and walked through this building that went directly to the station! (but I decided to drive to Newark...so I had my car!) I would recommend this hotel and I hope the next person that stays there has the same or better experience that we did! Love the security there too! Oh, don't agree with paying for parking, however, that is how it is up there (NJ/NY). Continua a leggere

"newark airport hilton - handy nyc transpo"
Hotel was clean and conveniently located but was on the edge of the bricks. The people at the desk and particularly the shuttle were very helpful and well mannered. The hotel manager (at least I think) was a bit rude to us and asked if we were drinking (on new years eve) but otherwise a pleasant stay.

I was in town for the New Years celebration and I did not want to pay an arm and a leg for a hotel. So I decided to go across to Jersey...a bit skeptical but it worked out perfectly. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Very close to the train station, shopping mall and airport.

"Pretty good- bad manners"
I liked the hotel but the people that worked there were are rude and talk to their guests like they are idiots. For example- We were told that they would hold a "complimentary" $50 on my credit card until I check out and it could take up to 3 days for it to be released. When I checked out, I asked for a reciept to show that I wasn't charged anything […] and the disrespectful clerk handed me a blank piece of paper. She said, 'We didn't charge you so this is all I can give you'. Needless to say I didn't get my money back until 10 days later. They are another one of those places who talk to their customers as the typical "tourists". That's not cool. But the rooms were nice. Continua a leggere

I've traveled in and out of Newark a number of times, and in my experience the ONLY airport hotel in Newark that maintains consistent quality service, dining, cleanliness, and travel convenience is the Hilton. "Hilton Newark"
Hotel was fine and convenient but the shuttle in the evening was absurdly late. we waited for 50 minutes after being told the shuttle had left the hotel 5 minutes ago. the hotel was less than 3 miles from the airport.

"Will stay here again for sure"
We stopped in here for a night's rest on our way from Toronto to SXM. I was very pleased with the hotel shuttle which was prompt and the ride was about 5mins. Hotel was great, staff were friendly, and the restaurant had great quesadillas.

"Very happy"
Early flight out of EWR. 5 minute ride to airport. Shuttle leaves every 20 minutes. Very convenient. Needed a few toiletries that we forgot and the front desk was very helpful. Room very clean and comfortable.
very good experience. Shuttle picks up guests at airport for the short ride to hotel. nice spacious rooms,with comfortable furniture. Restaurant, even though a bit pricey, was excellent. Very good service from all the staff. Would recommend anytime.

"Quite Nice Hotel near Newark Airport"
I will start with a small disclaimer, which is that we stayed at this property for a visit in NYC, which is obviously still a few miles (or train stops) away. So some comments below are influenced by that context. Overall, the hotel experience was quite pleasant. We were told they were planning to do a renovation of the property starting January 2012 […] and despite the fact that our room was not renovated it was really quite nice. The service at the front desk was fine, albeit nothing outstanding in any way. One very unfortunate thing that happened was that a personal item of little financial value but lots of sentimental value got accidentally sent out with the bed sheets. It was a real *pain* to try to get that back - it took literally more than 10 phone calls to different places - and the hotel did not even offer any reimbursement for our time or our personal experience. I would have expected more because this was a careless mistake by the maids and not us - I do not expect negative retributions for them, other than a reminder to be more careful perhaps, but I would expect some form of compensation (e.g., a breakfast coupon, a free night). Since we have a GPS getting there was fine; otherwise, the area is not "intuitive" for navigation. We stayed there to go to NYC so we had to drive to Newark Penn Station or the Secaucus junction - either one has relatively hefty parking fees plus moderate train fees. So if you are planning to go to NYC you would have to calculate (a) parking costs at the hotel, (b) parking costs at the train stations, (c) return train fare. We had such a low hotel rate for this property that the stay was worth it despite all of those "little" costs, but I would not choose the hotel for a NYC visit otherwise. However, if you are going to the airport it is obviously a fantastic location! So, overall, the hotel is a great choice for travel to and from Newark airport and an acceptable choice for a trip to NYC under certain conditions. The service Continua a leggere

"Pleasant stay, nice airport hotel."
The hotel is clean and modern with spacious rooms. Our experience there will encourage us to try other Hilton properties in the future. Our one complaint would be that the in-house restaurant (the "Newarker") was absurdly expensive. There is a Perkins restaurant just a few blocks away, as well as a McDonalds and others. Don't pay $28 for a mediocre […] hotel entree, or $10 for a glass of wine. Just eat offsite instead. Continua a leggere

"Hilton Newark Airport"
The overall hotel experience was great. However, information about the airport shuttle was extremely frustrating - we called multiple times and were given assurance we were in the right place at the right time for a pick up. Finally determined from airport personnel that we were in fact in the wrong place and needed to take a train to a remote location […] in the airport for a pick up. Its obvious hotel personnel have no idea how that works. Bottom line is we lost 2 hours of sleep on an already short night with toddlers. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was efficient. "Really quiet"
I don't know how they do it, but you can't hear a single airplane. This hotel was super convenient to the airport and the airport train station, and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely stay there again.
