Mi sono fidato delle recensioni prima di scegliere questo hotel e devo dire che non sono rimasto deluso. La posizione è veramente ottima, vicino ad un grande centro commerciale all'aperto con vari negozi e ristoranti. L'atmosfera non è quella tipica dei grandi alberghi, ma più vicina a quella di un residence. Elevata la pulizia. Il servizio manutenzione, che abbiamo dovuto chiamare per un piccolo problema con il condizionatore, è rapido ed efficiente. Molto gradito il parcheggio gratis. Un po' scarsi i prodotti trovati nel bagno: abbiamo dovuto far richiesta dello shampoo.

Molto gentili, camere un pò spartane ma pulite e spaziose. Colazione al piano terra ma "in piedi" o ai tavoli fuori se il tempo è ok. Park gratuito a due passi. Vicinissimo al Kodak . Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Tornerei sicuramente

bellissimo hotel, confortevole, silenzioso, stanze ampie e pulite. Buona la cucina del ristorante, per la posizione è più adatto a chi si reca a LA per lavoro...

beakfast ESAGERATAMENTE CARO perché il costo della colazione è indipendente da cosa si mangia. Mia moglie ed io abbiamo preso: 2 espresso+1 banana+1yogurt+1 ciotola di cereali+1 bicchiere di succo di frutta = 56,92$ !!!

great location, great place for people want to just relax at day ( go to beach ) or dress up at night ( lots of nice restaurants ) we been staying at 5 star hotel all over the places and Shutters always our best one on the list when we go to Santa Monica

The location, service, and ambiance of this hotel is magnificient. I couldn't ask for anything more! I big plus was the large bathtub with jacuzzi jets.
Was an abosolutely wonderful stay! We only stayed one night while waiting to go to Sydney. Everyone was so attentive. The spa was great and the services were as well! Highly recommend this hotel.
"Shutters - Fabulous but small pool and pricey"
Fabulous hotel, great location, excellent service. It is pricey and the pool is small (and not well heated). Other than that, we had a fabulous vacation.

We stayed in room 520 for my husband's 40th birthday! Beautiful ocean view room. Very pretty room. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Room extremely small. Bathrooms old and not very functional. Coffee maker did not work. Help not very helpful and the staff at the desk and concierge all had Hollywood Attitudes....if you were not a star they couldn't be bothered.

"Gorgeous and quaint - for a price."
We absolutely loved staying at Shutters - somewhere I've wanted to stay for many years - because the service was excellent, location very scenic and rooms comfortable and beautiful. You feel like you're in your own little cottage even though you're in a hotel with many other rooms. Just tons of detail paid to the books on the shelves, spa amenities, […] linens and so on. The only thing that was not great was the noise. We were ready for some amount of street noise, given it's on the boardwalk in Santa Monica, but the noise from the plumbing was outrageous. There was a wedding at the hotel that night, which was handled well and no problem at all, but the folks returning to the hotel at 2am were noisy in the hallways (also understandable) and when they decided to take showers, we heard the plumbing rocketing through the walls as though we were in the boiler room of a old factory. It was extreme! When I asked my husband what he thought was making all the noise he couldn't even hear me well enough to respond. And it's not like we're ancient and need hearing aids - we're in our 30s. Anyway, after everyone took their (loud) showers and went to bed, we continued on with our very comfortable stay. In the future, I'll request a room farther from elevators and any main plumbing ;) Continua a leggere

"Not quite what I had hoped for..."
I have always wanted to stay at this hotel (I travel to LA for business about 10-12 times per year). I brought my wife for our 10th anniversary to see Cirque du Soliel at the Santa Monica pier. We stayed for two night and they moved to a hotel in West Hollywood. The price for the room was extremely expensive vs other high-end beach hotels in Santa […] Monica that I have stayed at. Even though they say that all rooms have balconies, our room was under-ground (similar to an egress window) with a view of a painted block wall. Amazingly, they stop serving food/drinks at the pool at 5pm...on a Saturday! It was a beautiful day, and they had no outdoor areas to eat or drink. So, we decided to rent bikes from the hotel and ride down the beach. We waited for the person at the rental counter for 15 minutes ("Be Right Back" sign) and he never showed up. The hotel is extremely nice, but I must say that I was very disappointed by my stay...very small room, no view, no outdoor dining or drinking, no one manning the rental stand, no service after 5pm at the pool (on a Saturday), etc. I guess I expected much more for the price. Overall, I would say that the hotel must primarily cater to older people. The hotel (and general area) is completely dead after 5pm. It was a Saturday night in early October, but it felt like the "off-season". I strongly recommend a high-end hotel in West Hollywood area over the hotel. Continua a leggere

"Excellent Hotel"
Everything was EXCELLENT! However, the safe in the room didnot work. The engineer never showed up to fix it. The drain in the jacuzzi was VERY VERY slow. I certainly would recommenf this hotel.

"Hübsches, in die Jahre gekommenes Strandhotel"
Sehr schön gelegenes, aber bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, sogenanntes "traditionelles" Strandhotel. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand (Abstand bis zum Meer etwa 200m). Schöne Outdoor-Pool-Anlage - allerdings kein direkter Zugang zum Strand respektive zum Meer (bei der Rückkehr vom Strand muss der Gast - mit Badeanzug - den Weg durch den Haupteingang […] und die Lobby zum Pool suchen). Dass die Rückkehr auf die Zimmer nach dem Dinner im hoteleigenen Restaurant (nach 10pm) nur über einen Umweg (aussen um das Hotel herum) möglich ist, muss als mühsam bezeichnet werden. Eher kleine, nicht modern zu nennende Zimmer mit sehr hohen Betten. Sehr enge Hotelvorfahrt mit "mühsamem Stau". Sehr freundlicher Service. Continua a leggere
