The bed clothes had burn holes in them the bathroom had mold their were hand prints in the wall the worst thing is they don't tell you you have to pay a deposit of 50.00 or they don't let you stay or refund your money I only carried wat I budgeted for the trip at it ruined my visit

You could tell that the bathroom floor had not been swept, vacuumed nor mopped since the last guest . . . there were long black hairs all over the floor. we both have short gray hair! The room looked ok but after seeing all of the hairs on the bathroom floor, I wondered about the cleanliness of the carpet. The sink drain did not work well at all. When I checked in, the staff seemed more concerned about texting on his cell phone rather than welcoming me. Another gentleman came in and they spoke in a foreign language the whole time. If everyone speaks English, I find it incredibly rude to speak their native tongue in front of a customer! The guy at the front desk then asks for a $50 deposit, which […] I wasn't expecting. I finally got my room key and tried to find parking, since their lots were small and limited. The outside of the hotel was nice and newly renovated, but when I stepped into my room I was pretty disappointed. Very outdated with pieces of the wall missing and mold growing in the grout of the bathroom tile. This was also my first time staying at an Econolodge that did not offer a microwave/fridge. Walked in room and it smelled like mildew.and mold evidence on bathroom ceiling.We found a empty dirty cup and toe nail clippings by night stand when looking for a outlet to charge phone..Also a mildew thing was found with a bag over it by other bed.. We checked in abt midnight and got in room a little after. Should have know 3 dead bolt locks on door […] and terrible odor in closet.grahdaughter sprayed her body spray..Floor lamp didn't work We did not bathe there and napped on top of bed spread. napped 12:45am-4:15am.Roached crawling on nightstand and were in bag I forgot to zip after getting gown.Pillows were toddler size.Told I had a $50 convience fee,wanted credit card and I refused. Gave cash and got back in the morning.Told it was to insure we didn't steal towels or lamps and that Fla hotels did that. What a lie! had just spent 5 nts @ Hampton Inn/Suites/cConvCtr Orlando and another In Titusvile w/Ramada.Never had a assumed that we would steal fee.Travel Fla every summer and never! More to tell but only 1500 word limit..Would love to hear from EconoLodge corporate and tell the rest of the story.Took pictures to verify what was in the room. Worse hotel ever! I WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT ITCHING ON MY NECK ARMS AND CHEST.....TURNED ON THE LIGHT, SAW NOTHING WENT BACK TO SLEEP.....THAT MORNING, I HAD BITES EVERY WHERE IN LIKE A PATTERN OF 3 ALL OVER MY ARMS NECK AND CHEST.....I FLIPPED THE COVERS BACK AGAIN AND SAW FLEAS AND THESE LITTLE TINY BROWN BUGS..I TOLD MANGER AND THEY JUST […] BRUSHED IT OFF AND GAVE ME A REFUND FOR 1 NIGHT.....ORIGINALLY I BOOKED THE WHOLE WEEKEND I CHECKED OUT IMMEDIATELY! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at the rooms were dirty, my fridge was leaking they brought me stained towels, the air was not working correctly it was hot than cold all night long the staff was rude as well the pool was dirty and had news papers in it so I could not go in the pool the jacuzzi was boarded off so that was out . This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I stay in hotels across the country and none have been as bad as this Econolodge. I arrived on 3/8/12. I asked the night manager about early check out and he told me I would have to call Expedia because the reservation was prepaid through Expedia. The room that I was first given at the Econolodge […] in New Port Richie, FL. had a broken lock mechanism that would not work so, I could not enter the room. I was given another room which had a smoke alarm malfunction and the door had no dead bolt lock. The night manager said he had a battery and offered it to me to fix the problem myself. I told him about the dead bolt and he said there are no other rooms that I would have to stay in that room. He said I might be able to switch rooms the next day. The day manager was no help either the next day. I had to ask the maintenance man myself if he could fix the dead bolt lock. That is when I found out that the door had been resently kicked in by someone just days before. The complimentary breakfast was not. The cereal was stale and I had to find someone for service. The price per night was 70 dollars which was over priced under these conditions, for any price. I went to another hotel down the steet and purchased a lower priced room with a much better clientele and services. I stayed very comfortably for the remainder of my time down the street. I have only used online hotel reservations twice and will never do it again.I also had to call Expedia three time for reimbursement and was penalized 70 dollars which I did not deserve or feel it was fair to do so. I was on a tight budget and chose this motel for the good rate. I was not allowed to check in without leaving a $50 deposit 'for incidentals'! This took most of the money I was traveling with. Not happy! Then I get to my room, which is right off the pool deck. Pool was small but looked nice. Even closer to my room was what I guess was the hot tub, but […] it had no water & had a big tarp in it. The room was a non-smoking room but had a musty smell. The bathroom looked like it had beed remodeled, until I looked closer. Tub needed to be re-caulked and the mirror frame was old & chipped. The bed was comfortable. The next morning, I had to wait while the man behind the desk checked my room before he would refund my deposit. The stay was comfortable, nice breakfast, very cordial employees. Very good value at this time of year. They made our short stay pleasing. The only concern was that it took a while to get the water hot for a shower. It got hot, but had to run for a while.

This place was disgusting!!!! UGH it was filthy, mold in the bathroom, dirty sheets, blankets, towels, pillows. There was a chair in the room that was stained with some disgusting stain. There were bed bugs in the bed. The room we had was an adjoining room with some other questionable men that were apparently long term residents at the hotel.. They […] came home in the middle of the night drunk, smoking outside of our room and sounded like they were vomiting in the hallway. The" breakfast" was questionable with a waffle maker and batter that was pre-poured and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile with flies in it. Definitely have your tetnus shot and bring a weapon for self defense if you plan on staying here! It was OK for the price, but there were a couple things to complain about. We had a lot of trouble using the card key-very tricky to get the door open. The tub didn't drain well, the drapes fell off the track when we opened them, the coffee maker was falling apart & the toilet didn't look very clean.

My cleanliness expectation is not just to have clean towels. I asked to clen the toilet and it looked the same all the time. This is the only issue I do not like it about the hotel.

Please read that the check in time is 4pm and not before. After driving 6 hours I arrived early (2pm) and was told check in was at 4. No offer to get a room at an additional charge just the comment "Check in is at 4pm and there are no rooms clean at this time". We maybe able to accommodate you at 3:30. If there are no rooms clean at 2pm this place has […] much bigger problems. Upon my second arrival at 3:30, my room key did not work. I had to request access to my room two times and then call again after after nothing was done about it. No one took the initiative to correct the problem when it was first identified. Soda and ice machine not working had to walk around an hunt for another. The room was nice but the air conditioner kept it only "cool" throughout the night. Hotel in GREAT need of updating and repairs. Very dirty, hot tube not working, ice machine not working. Room also not up to our standards, stained sheets and bathroom very poor condition. I would not stay at this hotel again.
