The location of this hotel is excellent and the ambience good. My mother (81) was given an 'upgraded' room which was lovely, spacious and comfortable but our family room for four was really for three with the fourth bed being nothing more than a hard couch with bedcovers on it that nothing of us could sleep on. My daughter and I spent two nights at this 4 star hotel. Overall the experience was great except for 2 things. We found the bed way too firm. Our backs actually ached especially in the mornings. The other was the attitude of the front desk. I felt I was being a bother if I asked them a question. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very pretty, clean and compact. The breakfasts were great, very appetising, great staff throughout. They all made a fuss over us because of our honeymoon. This was a beautiful hotel in a great location and I would love to give it a better rating, but my wife's jewelry (semi-valuable) was stolen from our hotel room. When the hotel was informed of the incident, they blamed us since they trust everyone on their staff. They even went through all of our luggage with us to "help us find it." When we did not […] find it with their help, they told us we should have used the in-room safe. The hotel is located within walking distance of most sites, and easy to catch a vaporetto to the ones that are a bit further away. Staff was generally accomodating, and made suggestions of things we might want to see or places where we might eat. We found the breakfast that was included at the hotel to be all we needed, and good restaurants for evening […] meals are within a five-minute walk. We did take time to have a drink in the courtyard before heading out for our supper, as the ambiance was really lovely. What we noticed was how quiet it was for sleeping - even with the windows open - so that we might be well-rested so as to take in more sites the next day and enjoy it. Perfect hotel.

great hotel in a great location - away from the crowds but an easy walk to both Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. The garden terrace was fabulous for both breakfast and drinks in the evening.

While it is a 10-15 minute walk to Rialto or San Marco the walk is worth the time. Any walk in Venice is extraordinary. We have stayed in 5 hotels in Itlay and this was our favorite. The room was of a good size but more importantly the staff was amazing. Breakfast was bountiful and beyond what we expected. We will stay there again on our next trip to […] Venice. Great location, near Rialto Bridge and Water Taxi, friendly staff and good service

Great shopping and dining on the walking malls and a auick 4 minute walk to the water taxi to and from the airport. The hotel was elegant and stately the way all hotels used to be. Rooms small but aren't they all in Europe? Air conditioning even though it wasn't listed in Hotels.com. I'd stay here again anytime!

My partner and I were travelling through Italy ad Venice was our last stop, the Hotel Giorgione was the best hotel we stayed at. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the staff spoke very good english and were extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. We chose this little boutique hotel based much on other reviews, and the photos. All expectations were exceeded. The lovely garden terrace was divine. To eat, drink, sit, relax. The breakfast buffet was simple, but plentiful, and the waitstaff was quick to take orders for afternoon drinks. The staff was very helpful when we found ourselves with a medical […] predicament, and directed us without hesitation to prompt resolve. It took us a day to figure out we were supposed to leave our room keys with the hotel when we went out. They were rather sizable with large tassles, and that made it much easier for us not to carry it around, and for the staff to know when we were away to clean rooms, etc. It was very nice to stay in a quiet neighborhood (Cannaregio) away from the throngs of tourists close to San Marco. We were only about a ten minute walk away. And very close to the Rialto Bridge. Lovely shops, dining choices, and anything else (including the pharmacy we needed) just steps away. I have stayed in Venice before but this hotel was the best by far in the price range. The location, five minutes from the waterbus to the airport at the Fondamento Nouve , five minutes from Rialto yet in what feels like a place where Venetians live and work, was perfect. Rooms were comfortable and attractively furnished in Venetian style and the common […] areas are also very relaxed and comfortable .. A most outstanding feature is the inner courtyard garden with fountains where we had breakfast every morning and a quiet drink in the evening, though we could have done without the piped music but we accept this is a matter of taste. The breakfast was excellent, a wide choice was available including hot cooked items. We will certainly go again. Two very minor quibbles- the injunction not to eat or drink anything of your own in your room seemed a little restrictive, and impossible to police without a real intrusion of privacy, and secondly, the list of bar prices did not include an extra charge, apparently for glasses and a table. While we know this is common practice in restaurants here, it is less acceptable when you are already paying to stay in the hotel as guests. We feel the menu should make all prices payable quite clear. Other than that a wonderful experience we hope to repeat soon. Continua a leggere

Hotel was conveniently situated and very quiet and peaceful. Good breakfast buffet eaten on pleasant terrace. Staff exceptionally polite and helpful.

This Hotel has everything that a luxury hotel has but with the warmness and personality of a boutique hotel has. The staff is incredible nice, accommodating and efficient. Even their recommendations are great for example they recommended us a very nice restaurant just few blocks from the hotel with excellent food and great service (which is kind of […] difficult to find in Venice). This Hotel is not in the main touristic area (which is a plus so you are not annoyed for the crowds of tourists) but is very close to the main attractions (San Marcos Square, Rialto bridge, etc.). What a lovely hotel ! Given that this hotel is an italian hotel, the breakfast - food and presentation - was excellent. However, for a real Italien experience, you might wanna get a coffee from the bar and not from the breakfast buffet. Quality of accomodations, location, service all outstanding. When my wife suddenly became quite ill, the staff arranged for a good doctor,made sure she was comfortable, a difficult situation was so much less stressful due to their assistance. Venice is full of great hotels; Hotel Giorgione is a step above.

The location of this hotel is awesome. It is very convenient to all of the main attractions. It is tucked away, but only a 50 yard walk to a main area. No airconditioning begining in Oct. so the room was a little uncomfortable because the weather was unseasonably warm. Hotel was clean and staff was just Ok. The bathrooms are terribly small and as a […] man you will hit your head on slanted ceiling while using restroom. If you value location, cost and do not need much hand holding, this is a great hotel. The hotel is really beautiful, out of the way so that itis peaceful but in easy walking distance to all attractions. The rooms are comfortable and clean, only small problem is there are no ironing facilities in the room and the hotel won't let you borrow there's without paying for a whole laundry service. We booked the standard through hotels.com and were upgraded to superior when we arrived. Room was spacious, bath was not and was poorly laid out. Overall hotel staff was friendly and super helpful - would definitely stay again!

The hotel is very nice: located on a quiet street, rooms are clean, service is friendly. Breakfast was OK, not great. The hotel was very difficult to find, so be sure to print out a very detailed map of the area, especially if this is your first time in Venice.

Although the hotel was quite expensive for what it was, this is common in the city of Venice. The staff were very friendly. The room decor was quite out of date which made it feel a bit old and not as welcoming. The breakfast on the outdoor patio in the morning was excellent. The hotel was not a 4 star hotel at all. The electricity kept going off and we had to turn it back on again. The breakfast is an ordinary 2 or 3 star breakfast in Europe, nothing special. On the plus side the room was clean, the staff helfpful. The location is very good and it is very easy to get from the airport to the hotel by water bus. It was […] expensive for what we paid. The hotel is in a good location; our water taxi dropped us off less than 50 yards from the entrance, which was great. The front desk staff was a little snootty, which didn't result in the warm welcome we were hoping for after trotting through the rain with our luggage. We arrived by plane and departed by train. Both were conveniently accessed. The staff was very friendly and spoke English very well. Hotel Giorgione is situated in a quiet, but easily accessible neighborhood. We enjoyed the stay very much. Nice, quiet clean rooms, and the staff was helpful and efficient. I would recommend the hotel as it is a fair value for the money.

Close to Rialto bridge. Very helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed the tranquility and the setting in this lovely old building right in the heart of Venice. Would definitely stay again when revisiting Venice.

This hotel is tucked away in the windy streets of Venice, on the edge of a small square. It is about a 15min walk (if you aren't entirely sure where you're going) from the Rialto Bridge to the hotel, alternatively, a quicker way to do it is to get the Water Bus to Ca D'Oro and it is about a 5min walk from there. The hotel itself has a very modern reception […] and is clean and tidy. In contrast the rooms are of Venetian style, which wasn't to our taste, but was livable, if a tad on the small side. The staff are friendly and helpful. One complaint however would be the Breakfast buffet. We arrived at the hotel much earlier than the traditional check in,no problem,we were taken to our rooms and shown how everything works.We were leaving before the buffet breakfast time,the hotel had a boxed breakfast ready for us at 6 AM to take with us.The room was clean,charming and very comfortable.I would stay there again.Very pretty patio.

++ Cosy and peaceful -- Breakfast quality is poor we had to take breakfast elsewhere!!

Hotellet ligger ca. 15 min. hyggelig gang fra Marcuspladsen og kun 5 min. gang fra et at færgelejeerne, hvilket er meget praktisk når man skal til og fra lufthavnen. Der var meget stille og roligt omkring hotellet, men efter kun ganske få skridt var der forretninger og mennesker på gaderne. Indenfor 200 meter fra hotellet er der en tappas forretning, […] med små borde udenfor, et lækkert pizzaria og en god restarurant. Alle tre steder serverede super lækkert mad, og var overvejende besøgt at de lokale. Hotellets personale anbefalede stederne til os, og viste os på kortet hvor vi skulle gå hen. I forhold til priser og standarder på andre hoteller jeg så på nettet, synes jeg at vi fik det bedste til prisen, samt en venlig og høflig betjening. Der er ingen retaurant på hotellet, hvor der kun serveres morgenmad samt kiks og iste om eftermiddagen. Vi kunne godt finde på at bo på det samme hotel igen. Continua a leggere

Vi fant hotellet rimelig greit til å være Venezia. Vi ble tatt godt imot av hotellet ved ankomst. Vi hadde et familierom/suite. Vi var 2 voksne med 2 barn. Rommet var ok, men trengs nok en oppussing snart. Beliggenheten er veldig bra, selv om det er er et stykke å gå til markusplassen. Alt i alt en ok opplevelse.

Hotellet var godt over 100 år og hadde en "rolig" atmosfære. Du bare kunne nyte og kjenne roen senke seg med det samme du kom innen for døre. Veldig koselig bakgård og frokost der var en drøm. Hyggeli betjening, men engelsken kunne vært bedre hos noen.

Das Hotel liegt zentral und trotzdem ruhig die Atmospaehre ist angenehm das Frueckstueck gut der Stil des Hotels entspricht den Erwartungen

Hotel propre et calme, service Ok mais qui à mon avis ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles. Notre chambre ressemblait plus à un débarras aménagé qu'à une vraie chambre, au rez-de chaussée sans fenêtres avec une grille donnant sur la rue d'un coté et sur la cour intérieure de l'autre, donc bruyante le matin. Pour le reste OK mais sans plus !
