The room was generous in size, had a nice view of the area, and was of course very clean and comfortable. The gym was larger than most I've seen in hotels, and had complimentary headphones and cool towels. The staff were so kind from the minute we arrived and throughout our three night stay. The bellman explained the parking situation very well with […] consideration for whatever our concerns might be, and the front desk were so helpful with any questions about amenities etc. One funny note - we decided to try the elliptical bikes, which garnered a lot of second looks as we tooled around town. Very fun. When we arrived back at the hotel the manager was so excited - apparently we were the first guests to use them, and he wanted to get our picture. Every staff member we encountered at the Westin Georgetown was very competent, helpful, and warmly courteous. The location is close to great restaurants, convenient to Metro train and bus, and in a lovely neighborhood. The building is older, but not in an historical, charming way. It is physically renovated, but the air conditioning is so quirky that […] we needed to change rooms, and had the same problem with the second room the first night. The air flow just did not keep the room below 75 degrees, and with no other option for ventilation, our first night was very uncomfortable. I must add the the engineer was very helpful in, first, securing an upgraded room in the first instance, and quickly resolving the temperature issue in the second, and the desk manager did make a reparative offer of Starpoints to compensate for the sleepless night. Travelers should be sure to test out the AC/thermostat before settling in. The room was cleaned, but not to the standard I have experienced in other hotels of a similar rating. Continua a leggere

Clean & friendly staff; irritating choice to place only one muslin robe in baths (they admitted) and wait for guests to request the 2 terry robes expected to be there. Charge to use business center PCs. Able cab service altho concierge gave wrong directions to cabbie who didn't know how to get to Bethesda residential address.

Great hotel, great location. We were about 3 blocks from the metro and we used that to get down to Capitol Hill. Also just a few blocks from Dupont Circle and Georgetown which have lots of restaurants and shopping. We were able to check-in early and leave our car at the hotel so we didn't have to try to find parking in Captiol Hill. We did valet parking […] because they allowed us to keep our car there even after we checked out. If we had done the self-park option we would have had to pay a 24-hour rate plus an hourly rate for anything over the 24 hours. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and nice. Continua a leggere

very nice in all respects. bed was too soft for us but a call to housekeeping yielded quick fix with a bed board. all personnel were top notch - friendly greetings, prompt assistance. would definitely return if i needed a hotel in the area.

My room was spacious. It was clean. I didn't pay a ton of money for it. I felt good about choosing the Westin. It is close to Dupont Circle and Georgetown, so everybody wins.

The location was great. The front door staff was excellent. Lots of lovely touches...fruit in the gym, hot cider and umbrellas for the cold weather.However, the bathroom amenities were limited, not enought towels and no robe. Was it because I booked on Hotel.com?Would stay again for the location and the basic ambiance of the hotel.

Lock sets on the hallway doors made a lot of noise each time a door was closed thus disturbing those sleeping early or rising late

We needed a place to overnight on our way south for Christmas. The Westin was beautiful and well maintained. The friendly staff helped us locate free street parking, directed us to an open restaurant an easy 15 minute walk away, and even provided shoes and workout clothes for a very nominal fee so my husband could go for a jog in the morning before […] we completed our trip. The customer service was excellent. The restaurants in the hotel were sub-par. The hotel ran a "green" program - you would receive a $5 voucher if you didn't require housekeeping. I was there for three nights. I declined housekeeping the entire time (not recommended). They only gave me one voucher and I couldn't figure out what I could use it for- because […] the restaurants wouldn't accept them. Silly program They need to rethink it. Continua a leggere

As expected Valet parking is the only way to go being in downtown D.C. The staff( bellman, front desk & restaurant) were great people and made our stay delightful.

Well worth the price. Very safe, well kept hotel with great service and amenities. Valet parking given the area is a very reasonable $40/night. About 8 blocks away from the White House and then easy access to the National Mall. Trendy Georgetown is right near by in walking distance.

I enjoyed my stay here. Very comfortable beds and nice perks in the room, such as: Starbucks coffee in the room and workout clothes available to borrow. The only "issue" is the lights are mega bright!

Initially we were in a different hotel but they didn't have space a available the last 2 days. We found this hotel and was very pleased with it. Very clean. Will stay here next time as well.

Room was nice and clean, but small abd cramped. There was a not a frig we could use for beverages. The tv did not work and the light switch to the bathroom was on the "blink". Hotel was super close to Georgetown and seemed to be well situated....

My girlfriend and I loved the Westin Georgetown. Our room was large and well furnished. The bed was very comfy. Everything was very clean. We only stayed for 1 night so we did not experience many of the amenities but we thought the hotel was a great value. The hotel's location puts you near Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, Downtown, and Dupont.

Very nice hotel with a great workout area, restaurants, conference area, and within walking distance to the major tourist attractions. The price was quite high until the day before when it dropped 20% which made it reasonable. Although they say there is a pool, its so small that its almost unusable so you can keep your bathing suit at home.

The hotel was massive and impressive with an excellent room, one of the most comfortable and spacious rooms and great night sleep I've had while traveling. The hotel staff was very nice and I was checked in under 5 minutes. The area was breathtaking and convenient to all. Parking attendants were awesome and very helpful, however wish I had known that […] I had to pay extra for parking. In addition my car's back windows were scratched. Another gripe is with the hotel (Boveda), restaurant, which I understand was new. Their customer service in the restaurant was deplorable and unwelcoming. The manager, who was up front needs a major attitude adjustment. When we mentioned that we were guests at the hotel ,he turned his nose up and said our only option was to order from room service and basically snatched the menu's out of our hands. Beside the scratch on my windows and the nasty attitude of the restaurant on premises, I loved the actual hotel. I would stay again, but would park my car myself, which is no big difference in price, and definitely would not venture into the hotel restaurant. Continua a leggere

This hotel is lovely and convenient to Georgetown and DC downtown. HOWEVER, I was put off by some extra charges...... Wifi cost extra (I mean come on..) AND there was a notice on the refrigerator that if you put any personal items inside there would be a $100 fee (I was too afraid to open it but I suppose there were beverages or something in there) […] but if you wanted to get a refrigerator delivered, they will do so for a nominal fee. And finally, there were snacks on a special pad that also had a note that said if you were to remove any items the fee would be charged directly to your bill. I was afraid to touch anything! Very enjoyable stay. Great location for gorgeous Georgetown and Dupont Circle. We'd stayed the first part of our stay in the White House area which was great and wanted to stay in a different part of D.C. for the last part of our holiday.
