Excellent! Plan on additional parking costs that make the a little more expensive.

The location, room, etc. Were great. We weren't aware that it was a pet friendly hotel. We love animals but do NOT love being woken up by a barking dog at 6am. When we provided feedback they only apologied and explained that they did not have or take contact information from the dog owners who left their pet in the room while they went down for breakfast […] or for a walk. I thought more would have been done for us as a result of the inconvenience. We ended up leaving much earlier than we wanted to due to the noise. Continua a leggere

We stayed two nights with our 2 children. The front desk personnel, Steive was very accomodating. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Condition of the hotel is impeccable. The hotel is a 4 star hotel but Service was beyond 5 star. I hope management keeps it up

The hotel is located in Old Greenwich, which is managed by Greenwich but very close to dicier areas of Stamford. While the hotel has very well-trained staff, if you order even a minor item from room service it costs a minor fortune. Their rates do not support the location nor amenities. We needed an inexpensive alternative to a Manhattan hotel. This hotel was easy to get to, and then convenient to NYC. My only complaint is that the hotel seemed to "hide" extra charges. For example, there is a fee for internet, but you can't find the fee anywhere. If you go ahead and log on, you will be charged. We had to call the front desk to find […] out the charges. We also ordered a small pot of coffee for $6. When we checked out, we had been charged $12 -- turns out there are extra fees (service fee, this fee, that fee). Would probably have ordered the coffee anyway, but I like to know up front what I am paying for. BTW, turns out there is free coffee on the floor near the elevators. This is a wonderful hotel in every aspect. Newly renovated. Great service. Beautiful, roomy, clean and offers everything one would need in a hotel. I stay in hotels a lot. Simply put, this is a great hotel for any purpose. Book it, you will be pleased.

the were performing a renovation and there was a strong chemical odor on the ground floor near the back entrance that was overwhelming

What a beautiful atrium, enriched by the pleasant attitude of the staff. I felt as if I had had a vacation. Easy - good.

What seemed to be perfect as we were a late check in.. We awoke to a door slam and children in the next room to us crying screaming and the parents yelling.. At check in we arrived as Newlyweds.. At departure we left with pounding headaches grabbing our belongings and leaving the hotel as quick as we could... Although the atrium, pool, steam room and room itself were nice for a quick getaway with the kids, the incessant noise, smell and sights of ongoing construction took most of the relaxation away. Imagine the sounds of drills at 8 am on Saturday morning or breathing in toxic chemicals while drinking coffee.

We arrived to a staff at night who were very short and not helpful at all. The vending machines were not working so we had to pay $10.00 for a water and a coke. Our room drain was broken and after a few hours of fixing it, it still didn't work. They wouldn't change our room they just removed the drain. They did reverse the $10.00 per night parking fee […] which is rediculous anyway. Overall, this hotel was a real letdown and not up to Hyatt standards. PS: the renovation work was suppose to start at 8:00 AM but try 7:00 AM as a realistic wake-up call. Continua a leggere

Apparently, the hotel has been in business for lots of years. Maybe that is the reason there is no "hotel" in the name, and the management is considering renovating it. Facility is alright. It is a good economy quality hotel. Hope it will become a real "Hyatt" one day.

Hotel is undergoing a complete renovation. Our rooms were the old style. Some elements were not working well - phone base lacked labels on call buttons for instance. But location continues to be convenient, noise was not a problem and food service was good - fast and good taste. Low price was a steal compared to stays in years past. First time for […] us using Hotels.com. Our two rooms were listed under seperate names and the Hyatt reserved it as two different reservations - not linked. Next time we will use the same name for all rooms on the Hotels.com form so there is less confusion when calling up our reservation at the front desk. Continua a leggere

This was our third stay at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich. The first two were excellent, not this one. We requested and reserved two double beds, when we got there there was no room available with double beds, we had to get a roll away. Water would not drain out of the tub. I tried to fix the problem but what I pulled out of the drain (nasty) did not […] help., The analog channels did not play well at all on the high definition television and every channel was blurry. I can't help but wonder if this was due to the fact that hotels.com had paid for a block of rooms so we got a second rate room? The manager did give us free breakfast coupons which were appreciated. I booked a reservation for a king sized bed for myself and my girlfriend. When I got to the front desk they told me I just missed the last one. I argued that I had that room reserved and they said there is no true such thing as a reservation yet they reserved the money on my credit card...... They ended up giving me a two bed room for my girlfriend […] and I ( that's pretty messed up). I got to the room and it had the strongest smell of urine. I didnt sleep very well because the smell was so strong. I can't believe they get away with things like this. Don't recommend them! Continua a leggere

Sitting in the hotel's central atrium, it is easy to forget about the outside world and reconnect with your loved one. Hall carpet is dated, otherwise nice hotel.

A beautiful greenhouse styled Lobby with bar and restaurant is a big attraction here. The rooms are large and beds comfortable. The carpeting in the rooms always seem to need spot cleaning or better vacumming.Dust always sems to be on carpet edges and also on curtain valences. First the good features. Beautiful atrium, nice pool, shuttle service. Now the less good features. The atrium was used for a wedding so we could not use the surroundings. The pool had a few loud screaming kids that felt like someone putting a needle in your ear.We fled in near panic. The shuttle driver insisted on a tip, well practically, reminding […] us that he expected it. We went on a wild and whacky ride first to Stanford then to the Greenwich train station. I think my kidneys were jolted out of place and I took a shot on the elbow as i bounced off the side of the SUV as the vehicle went practically airborne. The driver told us to call from the greenwich station so we would not have to wait for the shuttle. Well when I called I said I was in greenwich only to be told by a personality challenged desk person that I would have to call from Stamford...five minutes away. Ok, I did and my wife, who has a disability, waited for 40 minutes in the cold for the shuttle to pick us up after a couple of calls. The hotel is nice but I would not go back. Continua a leggere

The atrium is the main draw (and the conference rooms if you're there for business) and it is lovely. Annoyingly the lifts (elevators) are at the far end of the hotel rather than in the middle, making it a fair old trek to your room if it's at the other end. Parking is not free and drinking at the bar (your only real option within walking distance) […] is sure to empty your bank account. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though some of our party said their's seemed to have missed the last refurb. Overall a fair bet for staying a few nights in Greenwich. Continua a leggere

I booked and paid for our room 3 months in advance. I booked a single room with a king size bed. The booking was confirmed by the Hyatt. When we arrived we were told there were no king size rooms and all we could have was a room with two double beds. We were told there was a conference booked a month ago and they took all the rooms with king beds. After […] arguing with the front desk and management that I booked and paid for the room months before the conference booked it they upgraded us to a suite, but reluctantly. The staf had trouble with their system, and blamed us the guests My coworker had ants in his bathroom. When we told the staff, they said those are ants and tossed the coster away with seemingly no intersest

Overall a nice hotel - easy access. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. Only comment would be that the bar area could use some updating. Once you're up close, you can see how old it is.

Most rooms are not near the 3 elevators which are all together so this entails much walking to and fro. owing to the area of the hotel which is vast by UK standards. Early morning drinks are available only at the elevator halls (nothing in the rooms) but this is not advertised. Water in rooms is $5 per bottle. The atrium is kept unnecessarily cold with […] AC - take a woolie. Guests are rich enough not to bother with closing doors quietly. La Quinta is half a mile away and next to the nearest diner we could find. We moved there (despite the rooms there being smaller and cheaper and next to the interstate) and discovered that at La Quinta people actually spoke to you there as though they cared. La Quinta had continental thrown in whereas at the Hyatt our breakfast cost $50 for two people. A stop and shop supermarket is between the 2 hotels - either way you really need a car. They checked us into a room that had NO a/c. BUT, an engineer was promptly sent to room and could not fix problem; we were immediately transferred to another room. The room service was excellent

A great place in every way. I'd definitely stay again. Ask for free parking and you'll get it.

We have no complains about anything, the staff is very friendly. the hotel overall looks great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Make sure you ask for a room near the elevator otherwise you may be walking a half mile to your room. Charge for parking rediculous. But I guess they have to make money. $5 bottle water in room. Buy your own and put in Frig. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

Ordered hotel room service for breakfast first morning - my breakfast was 30 minutes late and was only sent up after I called down to the office to ask after it. Ripped furniture in room, desk was missing pieces, ripped carpets, and the door frame was also missing a piece. Beautiful hotel,but will nickle & dime you to death. No coffee in room,$9.95 a day wifi,minimum $10.00 a day parking fee.

i was charged $10.00 per night for self parking. I use a wheelchair and have an accessible vehicle that requires more than average room between my vehicle and any vehicle parked next to mine to enter and exit my vehicle. The hotel offered minimal handicap parking, which is not uncommon. But several times when I was parked in a handicap spot other vehicles […] parked on the hash lines next to my vehicle making it impossible for me to enter or exit. The hotels response was that they do not maintain records for self park vehicles to try to contact the owner to move it. Nor did they offer to have it towed. i had to find someone I did not know and ask them to move my vehicle so I could get in or out, I had to give a stranger the keys to my vehicle. If I have to pay for parking there should be better assistance to prevent this type of an issue from the hotel. Continua a leggere

The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool is small, but adequate; the jacuzzi is larger than most. We had brunch and one dinner in the atrium. The food was tasty. There is no garage: valet parking is $22 per night; self-parking behind the building at the rear entrance is $10 per night. Both seemed overpriced to me even if in Old Greenwich CT. This is a nice hotel with a great price. I definitely recommend it. My only beef is that they charge $10 to keep your car in their parking lot. To me that is a bit like charging extra to use the closet.
