"Good hotel in central Madrid"
Hotel did everything right except the bed, which was beyond firm- like a rock- with no give or flex. This was not the case with our counterpart's room, who had a softer bed than ours. The hotel girl at the check in desk was a cutie and very kind. Breakfast and wifi were included but breakfast was nothing special. The location was perfect in the center […] of town. If you are arriving from the airport by metro, it is very hard to get there with luggage and is not advisable for the elderly or people with walking difficulties. Continua a leggere
"Close to the Prado"
The location of the hotel was great - close by to the Prado and Thyssen as well as the theatre district. The area appeared safe and there were often cabs available out front when needed. The room was great and large for European standards and even had a balcony. The room was extremely hot though and the thermostat did not appear to work so we often […] slept with the balcony door open. The front desk staff did not speak English well although they had various flags on their names badges to signify they could speak English. On our first day, the woman that checked us in spoke English well however we did not encounter any other staff who could making it very challenging to communicate with regards to storing our bags or issues with our rooms. The room also did not have any information about the hotel itself or area and the internet often did not work. The breakfast was good and was served for a lengthy time (4 hours). Overall, we would stay there again and would suggest it to others. Oh, also close to the Atocha train station (15 minute walk) which was very convenient. Continua a leggere
"Hotel"
Enjoy the Hotel and room, the staff was outstanding and addressed every question i had. The only issue was the shower, it was open where all the water goes out of the shower and onto the floor which then travels outside to the wood floor, recommend they put a strip to keep water inside the shower area. The hotel is in a great location of alot of sigth […] seeing. Also the parking for the hotel is too expensive 24 Euro but the vehicle is safe. Continua a leggere
"All seasons Madrid -Great location"
Great location, close to lot of restaurants and shopping. Really good value for money. Room was also pretty big and cozy.
"All Seasons"
Hotel was okay but the location was fantastic
"Hotel All Seasons Madrid Prado"
Recently stayed for three nights which included breakfast each morning. Hotel is perfectly situated right in the centre of Madrid with lots of choice of various places to eat within easy walking distance. The Metro stations and buses were just a short distance from the hotel. Hotel was clean and comfortable with fresh towels and room serviced every […] day, safe deposit box in room, cold buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice from 7:30 to 11:30, hotel staff where very helpful. The only thing I would have liked was tea or coffee making facility in our room, you could only purchase a cup of coffee from a machine in the hotel foyer. The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting major attractions most within walking distance. Check out was midday which was great as we had an afternoon flight. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definately recommend this hotel to others. Continua a leggere
"It's a 4+ hotel"
We found the All Seasons Prado very nice. The rooms were clean and tasteful. The bathroom was rather large, especially for European standards. The service at the front desk was great...they were able to answer all of our questions quickly and accurately. They have English speaking staff that were easy to communicate with. The included breakfast was […] plentiful and good. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. My only complaint was the pillows were long, tubular, and thick. I did not like them, and my neck was sore when I woke up. My husband, who usually uses two pillows, had no problem with them. Continua a leggere
"Very Good location and value"
Short walk to Plaza Mayor and other sites. Clean modern rooms. Drain in shower was slow causing some minor flooding, otherwise an enjoyable stay. On arriving, tell taxi that hotel is on Calle Prado - not the Paseo Prado. The day before leaving, ask hotel to arrange an airport Shuttle. Will pick you up in a small van at the time you specify - only 22 […] Euros to airport for 1-3 people. Continua a leggere
"All Seasons near Prado"
Good location for museums in Madrid. Very modern and great breakfast for the money.
"All Seasons Madrid"
Very good hotel. nice central location. very friendly and polite staff
"Great hotel in the center of everything!"
This was a great hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. The service was great. It is walking distance from the Prado as well as many other museums and parks. Great place to stay!
The single room was super small with a twin bed and maybe eight feet between the walls, The location is excellent.
"Excellent location to discover Madrid...."
Our room was at the top of the hotel and small - but we had asked for a quiet room - which is what it was. Great breakfast included - fresh fruit and cheeses and hams and cakes - take few t-bags if you are going from England! All in all great little hotel, friendly staff and good location - we'll go again.
"Central Madrid"
stayed here for several nights. excellent value for the money. single rooms are small, but that is not untypical at all. the breakfast was included in the preice and excellent. shower/bathroom was fantastic. seemed recently renovated. the hotel was 5 min walk from the Prado. Probablky a bit noisy in the summer.......
"nearly perfect"
great location, friendly and very competent staff, good and clean (though not large), ideal value for money!
Location was far from tourist attractions but made for interesting walks through neighborhoods.
"All Seasons Madrid Prado"
The All Seasons Madrid Prado is definitely one of those rare "finds" of a hotel. It has a tremendous location, "5 minutes away from" many of the major sites. I read with interest all of the previous reviews of the hotel, before I considered it; almost too good to be true. We were not disappointed in the least. Those at the reception desk were most helpful. […] The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The listing indicates "no shower; bathtub only" which was of some concern; in the end, the bath was like all other European hotels, with a bathtub and a hand-held shower; not a big deal! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Thanks hotels.com Continua a leggere

"All Seasons Prado Madrid"
This hotel is superb value with good size bedrooms and a high standard breakfast buffet. "Staying the weekend? Take your earplugs."
Thin walls. I'm sure if you're staying during the week it's not as bad, but I was there over the weekend and was it loud. Madrid likes to party. One of it's greatest strengths, it's location, hurt the stay a bit.

"Perfect location"
Convenient to everything - walking from here is easy. No car or public transport necessary. Staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
"Outstanding location"
This is the place to stay in Madrid. Although I am a seasoned traveller, I still had my wallet stolen on the metro heading into the city from the airport, so be very very careful. The police didn't really want to know and weren't at all interested. The hotel is located about 1/4 mile from 2 subway stops which is convenient for getting to and from the […] airport, but you probably won't need the subway while staying at Hotel El Prado - it is walking distance to everything. Walking is definitely the way to see Madrid and the location of the hotel was perfect. Free wifi was nice also, but no coffee makers in the room (coffee was available for sale in the lobby). Overall a great stay and excellent value for money. Continua a leggere

"Great location"
Hotel El Prado is located within walking distance of all of the major attractions in Madrid and many great restaurants. In the 6 days total I spend at the hotel, I only used the Metro to get to and from the airport and the Chamartin train station. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly, helpful, and also was able to speak English, which […] is useful if you are like me and only speak broken Spanish. Continua a leggere
"Great small hotel in Madrid"
The location was very convenient to the major art museums and the train station. The rooms are very quiet even though this is a lively neighborhood. They also are very clean with modern bathrooms. The staff was terrific. Silvia behind the desk helped me buy concert tickets on-line, printed everything for me including a map with directions for getting […] to the concert by subway, bus, or cab. She refused a tip for this service saying it was her job to help. They also have a great breakfast bar at a reasonable price. I'd go back in a minute. Continua a leggere

"Hotel Rl Prado in Madrid"
Once we arrived in Madrid, we called the hotel for directions. They were very helpful and the directions were excellent. Our stay at the Hotel El Prado was enjoyable and the accomodations were excellent.
"Hotel El Prado - you cannot beat the location!"
This hotel is situated in the heart of old Madrid. There is a ton of night life and restaurants seconds away if not minutes away. We loved the plazas that were nearby. Cervantes' birthplace is a 1-minute walk away and there are tapas bars every where. We loved this hotel. My only complaint is that our room was right next to the elevator, and I would […] recommend that you ask for another room. In the summer, during the busy season, you can hear everything going on in the hallway. Continua a leggere

"Htotel El Prado"
Great location with good value. The walls are a bit thin--but when I turned on my tv and the neighbors got the hint--they quieted down. I was only there for one night but the location provided me with the opportunity to see the top items on my list (Gernica and Plaza Mayor) and was surrounded my many nice restaurants.
"El Prado Hotel in Madrid"
The hotel was as per the description and photos on hotel.com. It is very well placed to explore Madrid being within walking distance of the Prado and Retiro park and is very close to lots of places to eat and chill out.

"Nice, but strict 4."
nice hotel in a fantastic location. Only problem is that prior guests had obviously smoked in the room (some of whom thought it was ok to put out their cigarettes on the furniture) therefore making it slightly less comfortable. Overall, good place, good price. Order the buffet breakfast - a bit pricey, but delicious.
"roadworks and noise"
there were road improvements being done all along the calle el prado, and as this is spain, they started very early and stopped for lunch for 3 hours, only to go on quite late into the evening. the rooms booked online are not in advance the ones you will receive and you may end up having to shell out more upon check in? this is a shame because madrid […] is a beautiful city, with so much to offer visitors. Rooms modern, pristine(if a little basic) with minibar, safe, all toiletries - even a comb and shave equipment! Linens immaculate and changed every day...room v clean. Breakfast available in modern cafe […] within hotel. Fresh fruit on eaach landing - a lovely touch. Hotel not luxury but not luxury price...however they're really trying with service on all fronts. "Excellent, with a few 'cons'"
We spent 2 nights at the Hotel El Prado. The hotel is an easy walk to the museums and Park Retiro, also Puerta Del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Downside to location is the construction happening all up the street, which is loud and begins fairly early. We would not have minded so much, but the hotel only turns on its air conditioning in the summer months. We […] were there in April, and while not HOT in the room, it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy, which meant opening a window, which meant LOUD construction noise. With double windows closed, noise was not really an issue. Bed was comfortable, room was fairly spacious, lovely bathroom with decent water pressure. Tub/shower, toilet and bidet. There was a TV but out of our 5 hotels in Spain, ironically, this one, in the capital city was the only one without any English channels. Generally there is at least CNN or BBC for news, but not here. Wouldn't have been such a big deal, but this was our last destination before flying out, and we were watching the "ash cloud." On the whole this is a perfectly good hotel and if you find a great deal on it, go for it, but if I were to stay here again, I'd probably try another location. SHOULD you stay here, check out Cardamomo for a great Flamenco show, right around the corner, and also "Viva Madrid" also just around the block, a very cool old bar. Continua a leggere
"confortable"
able to accomodate 3 in one room, tight but confortable location was central enouph to walk to the museum and many points of intrest. tranportation very acecible, breakfast not included with room and cofee not as good as the hotel we stayed in Barcelona, but there is an excelent starbucks just down the street
"Directions"
Better directions would be appreciated. At the end of the block is another Hotel Prado so is VERY confusing
"great hotel and great location"
This hotel is perfectly located--close to the museums and steps away from Santa Anna Plaza for restaurants and night life. The hotel is very nice as well. For th eprice, it is a super bargain.

"A great choice"
The Hotel El Prado is a very good hotel. Although the room was very small by US standards, and a little small by European standards, I was satisfied by the furnishings. There are lots of restaurants nearby and even a laundromat, and the three major art museums are just a few blocks away. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had. If you bring […] a laptop, the in-room Internet (which is free) is available through wireless, which in my experience is rather unusual for a three-star hotel -- usually you need a cable. One thing to know ahead of time is that despite the good location, it takes three subway lines to get to/from the airport, but that's due to the layout of Madrid's subway system. Continua a leggere
"We've got what we paid for"
Hotel El Prado is conviniently located in the centet of Madrid, walking distance from all important attractions, yet far enough from noisy streets. The room was not large, which is typical for the centers of the major Europian cities, but the bathroom was spatious and we even had a small deck, with the view of Madrid roofline (top floor). The staff […] was helpfull and polite. Overal we enjoyed our stay there. Continua a leggere
"Perfect Hotel!"
This hotel is beautifully located in walking distance of the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Museos del Prado, Thyssen, & Reina Sofia, and the Atocha Train Station and Parque del Buen Retiro and Cibeles. There is little in Madrid you can't walk to from this spot. It is also very conveniently located just two blocks from Plaza Santa Ana, a tapas eater's […] dream (at least 8 restaurants serve the square and it is lively and yummy any night) and a short five minute walk from Casa Patas, home to a wonderful Flamenco show. I recommend the croquetas at Naturbier! Just past Santa Ana, is Plaza del Angel, which has a convenient 24-hour pharmacy (and good ice cream!). The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly (though I admit that I always spoke to them in Spanish and cannot vouch for their English first hand). The breakfast is reasonably priced - you can have just coffee and croissant for 3.5, up to a full Spanish breakfast for 8 euros, or mix and mitch within the range. The only downside is that the in-room wifi service wasn't that reliable, but with all the upsides, that's really nothing. We were there on both Friday and Saturday nights and the street noise was not a problem. Continua a leggere
