"Bathrooms"
Overall the room was nice, beds were very comfortable & the rate was good. The only negative would be that the bathroom was very small and needed some cosmetic repairs.
"Quality Inn Rome - Bathrooms need work"
When I checked into my room, I noticed hair in several locations on the bathroom floor and on the tub surround. I asked for my room to be recleaned while I was out and when I came back, the same pieces of hair were there. Despite this problem, I stayed an extra night and when I rebooked my room I told the desk clerk about my hair problem. However my […] room was never cleaned the second day. Also, they claim that the entire hotel has been completely remodeled. That is a false statement, the rooms on the second floor have not been remodeled. They just have new beds. "Quality Inn, Rome, New York"
Overall satisfied though It would be nice if there were 4 towels as there were 4 people staying in the room.
"Rome Hotel"
Outside of hotel is old, but rooms have been updated and remodeled. Outdoor pool was fantastic. Overall was very nice hotel for price.
"try to avoid"
We had to go back 3 times to the front desk to get our key card checked and the door still would not open. FINALLY somebody came and opened it with a key. The exterior is very run down and dreary. The only good thing is that the beds were comfortable.
"Recommend Staying Elsewhere"
We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay through hotels.com and things were pretty much as expected. For the first 3 nights I would have given it an average. The trouble started when I attempted to extend our stay, this time dealing directly with the hotel. I went down in the morning to make the arrangements which included providing my credit card for […] pre-authorization for the night. About an hour later we received a call in our room saying requesting that we come back down saying that they needed a credit card in advance. I was asleep at the time, so my wife told the front desk that I'd be down to speak with them later. A second call came about a half hour later demanding that we come down immediately to provide our credit card. Feeling reasonably sure that I had provided the card initially, I checked my account online and in fact there had been a pre-authorization taken earlier in the morning. When I went down to resolve the situation with the front desk, the clerk at the desk refused to acknowledge that he had swiped my card even after being shown the transaction from my account on my phone. I then called my bank who spoke with the clerk confirming the transaction and he STILL refused to accept that he had swiped the card earlier in the day. Meanwhile, while I was down speaking with the front desk my wife received a third call demanding that we come down to provide a card. We ended up moving to another hotel for the night. Based on the hotels handling of this situation I would recommend you stay elsewhere, but if you do stay here, definitely book through hotels.com, as this hotel does not seem to have the proper controls to reliably manage their credit card transactions. "Charged extra for NOT smoking in NON-smoking room!"
The stay was ok. Hotel had very weird ways of getting to rooms, inside, then outside, then inside again. The room was decent for the price. It was after my stay that I realized I had been charged by the hotel an amount beyond what hotels.com charged me. I called to find out why they had double charged me when I had already paid. Their answer was that […] they smelled smoke in our room when they went to clean so we were charged for smoking in a non-smoking room. WE DO NOT SMOKE!!! That's why we got a non-smoking room. When I tried to explain this to the guy he just kept telling me that it is NYS law. I told him I understood that, but since we do not smoke, we could not have been responsible for the smell. The conversation went nowhere, and long story short, I am out more than double my room fee, because of a mysterious "ghost" who smoked in my room. I suggest getting a smoking room if you stay here just to be safe. Or make sure you bring your dog to sniff out any bad odors ahead of time so you can complain before you're there too long. I have stayed at Quality Inns up and down the east coast, as well as many other hotels, and have never had an issue like this. Stay somewhere else if you can!!! Continua a leggere

"All I asked for was internet access!!!"
All I needed was a clean room and internet access. The room was clean, though the traffic on the one street in town never stopped. The internet on the other hand never worked. I called the desk and they said that there were just a lot of people online!!! For 3 hours i tried to get some work done to no avail. When I called back to the front desk they […] offered me an ethernet cord to solve the problem. It did help with the speed but the cord was broken and while I could position one end to stay in the modem the other end I had to hold in my laptop while typing. It was SO frustrating. "Quite Good for this type of hotel"
Clean. Pool nice. Paper thin walls, some smoke smell in room. EZ to find. Wifi worked fine in room and at poolside. Overpriced by about 20%
"Out of season stay"
The hotel was as good as it could have been in the fall season. (i.e. no pool, not many guests, very quiet). The 'frig and microwave in each room were great for extended stays. Kingsize bed was very nice. Location was easy to get in and out of. Service was good. For the price it was a good stay.
"Decent"
The hotel is located in a decent location, right across the street from a Walgreens, and it is attached to a Dennys, which isn't ideal depending on your preference. I was in town to run the boilermaker 15k and the rate was high for the condition of the hotel, but I didn't have many choices because most places were sold out. I believe the normal rates […] are lower, and if so, the hotel isn't a bad choice. Because they knew 16,000 people run that race, they know they can charge a higher rate bc hotel rooms are scarce. "PLEASANT EXPERIENCE"
BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. THE PERSONELL WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION FOR FOOD AND SHOPPING. ONLY NEGATIVE,WIRELESS CONNECTION WAS DEFECTIVE DURING OUR STAY AND WAS NOT REPAIRED BEFORE WE LEFT. WILL STAY THERE AGAIN
