"There is nothing Scottish about this place at all!"
There is nothing "Scottish" about this place at all! High definition TVs were useless because they failed to purchase the hd cables. Also the cable service would just shut at any time later at night. I believe it would be when the owners went to bed. Room and bathroom was skanky any smelled foul. I will pay the extra 40$ at another hotel time for cleanliness […] and better amenities. "Bugs"
I meant to tell the front desk but I did find a couple of bugs on the bed. I think they may have been ticks. I suffered no ill-effects. I hope they read this and deal with the problem. Otherwise all OK. I would recommend this hotel.

"This Inn is a Great Value"
OK, so I wasn't looking to stay at the Ritz for this overnight trip. I only wanted a clean and quiet room to rest. This Inn was just what I was looking for. The night desk manager was cheerful at 10:30PM when I showed up and very efficient. She had my information at her finger tips and checked me in in less than 3 minutes. The room was comfortable and […] clean. The TV as an old style model, but that was fine for me. The continental breakfast was modest, but that's what I expected for the price I paid. "Unbelievably good hotel and service for the price."
I visit cortland several times a month for buisiness. I used to stay at one of the hotels on River street. This time I decided to try this Days Inn because I could not find a room for a reasonable price in any of the decent River Street hotels. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and service. Room was big, without any kind of smell and as clean […] and well maintained as any of the lot more pricier hotels. Room had a refrigerator and a microwave, which was a real conveneince. Everything including the shower and heater was in excellent condition and working order. Hotel is very quite. Hotel provided a decent free breakfast. "Annual New York State Fair Trip"
The mattress was not fit to sit on, not to mention sleep on. Breakfast was served in a room not much bigger than a large closet. Not enough food and If you didn't their early you where out of luck.

If you like sleeping with bed bugs this place is for you.This was my second time staying in this hotel which I couldn't get out of and both time it was the same if not bed bugs it was another type of bugs. It also had an odor that could make you sick and dust and spider webs in the rooms. If you want something nice go somewhere else. Oh and their continental […] breakfast where or what was it. "Disgusting"
The hotel had bugs,spider webs in the corners,bodily fluids on the blankets. The hotel hallway also smelled so bad it made you sick. If I hadn't already booked this hotel for a second engagement before staying here i wouldn't stay again. Trying to find another hotel but very hard since its family weekend for Cortland College and may be stuck staying […] here again, which is really making my nerves unwind. Really need to do a full wash and scrub of this hotel and maybe once in awhile wash things and dust. Continua a leggere
"Friendly Staff"
The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here at the beginning of summer while visiting the Finger Lakes region.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel to others. The bathroom was extremely small and there wasn't a sink or a garbage can in the bathroom. There was barely enough space to stand in the bathroom and the sink was outside the bathroom. Plus, there was no fridge and the water wouldn't drain properly in the sink and the toilet. Motel was nice and clean both inside and outside. The only thing I didn't like was breakfast wasn't available until 6:30 and we were up and gone by 6:00. We saw the breakfast food through the window but the door was locked. Would have been nice to have breakfast available a little earlier for us early risers.

"Outhouse memories"
Cramped bathroom facilities reminded us of using our outhouse when we were growing up. staff was very friendly except for one older clerk who seemed to be mad all the time. Thank u to the clerk who checked us back in when out reservation ran out. Housekeeping was excellent. The hotel smelled of an extreme odor. The bathrooms were so small; barely enough space to change without bumping into the tub or toilet. Very uncomfortable overall.

The hotel was just off the interstate, easy to get to. The room could have been cleaner, cobwebs were hanging from the ceiling. Also the manager was a little gruff and could work on his personal hygiene.

hotel service was great,location okay,no restaurants near hotel.Day Breakfast room very small,few tables and the variety of food was very limited.
The room was clean and basic but I worried that the side entrances were unsecured - I thought the key would be necessary to open them???

The Staff was very friendly and accomodating. However, they do not have much to work with. For the price and location ( just off the Interstate ), it's ok in a pinch. But, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and small. More than one person per bed is a horror. if you're travelling with your family; kids, etc., go elsewhere.

There's not much to say about this hotel. It was fine. It was very clean and it smelled clean, which means a lot to me. The room and bathroom seemed a bit cramped. It had a fridge and microwave and hairdryer and iron and board, which I appreciated.

We were generally very satisfied. The room was spacious and well -maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic ,but served irts purpose. Over-all a great value!

"Only stay if you are just sleeping."
The price was right but the room was not heated when we arrived. Table was broken. TV was old. Bed was comfortable though.

Very satisfied with hotel....no different than other hotels which I paid more for. Very close to Suny Cortland. Will stay here again for sure.

"Days Inn in Cortland"
The hotel was a surprisingly good experience especially for the price. The room was clean with ammenities such as a refrigerator and iron and ironing board. It was located close to the main roads, as for us it was a halfway point to our destination. Would definitely stay there again.

I understand it is a very old hotel. A lot about that made the place interesting. The office staff very very friendly and willing to play along with my jokes. However, there are things which concerned The shower curtain was filthy. It looked as though someone had been mud wrestling and used the shower curtain to wipe themselves clean. There were ceiling […] tiles that were falling as well. I loved the way the hotel is set up so the only non-secured entrance was at the lobby. You had to have a room key to enter the other entrances. Which leads me to my last concern. It was a security issue At least one of the doors didn't close completely. Allowing whoever to enter the building without a key card. stayed over for grad ceremony suny cortland. very convenient to school and local shopping and right off interstate. have stayed in the past at other local motels, this was a pleasant surprise. reserved 3 rooms, no hassle, good price for grad weekend. would recommend to anyone going up for their kids school issues.

It was what was expected, inexpensive for one night. A bit shabby, I had a smoking room that really smelled of stale smoke. (It really needs to be aired out and sprayed) The phone looked like it was from the 80's and being a light color, showed the age... the location was good, right off the highway exit and a straight 10 minute shot to the dorms at […] SUNY. The McGraw/Cortland Days Inn has a continent breakfast which they had at least 3 English muffins showing green mold. The bottom sheet of the bed that I slept in was 6 - 8 inches too short for the bed. When I brought these complaints to the desk clerk, he removed the moldy muffins but the replacement muffins were stale also. He apologied for the sheeting […] and that was it. When I placed the reservation, Hotel.com was going to send me a confirmation they didn't even when I called them about the hotel. Overall bad experience with Hotels.com and the Days Inn.
