"Travel Lodge on MacLeod Trail"
The room was quite dark and dreary, There was a water bottle in the room that was $3 I was going toi drink it, but the seal was cracked. I went to front desk to show them and they didn't seem concerned. As well, the shower was not very clean, there were water spots and no sign that they were from wiping the walls down.

"Why does this place exist"
I travel a lot and spend many nights of the year in hotels. I have stayed in some pretty bad places that I would never recommend nor wish on my worst enemy, this place however was one of the worst. Seriously travellodge....a half filled bottle of shampoo? And a smoking room? What is this 1970?
"VERY DATED - VERY SMALL"
we arrived around 11:30pm and it took over 1/2 hour to check in.. staff VERY slow moving. Room was so small you could bearly move in it.. Paint was falling off the wall, Rug was stained and Dirty.. Towel rack falling off the wall.. Pillows were so flat they were vertually non existant. Walls were thin.. could hear the neighbors clearly.
"Calgary Macleod Trail Travelodge Hotel"
Older hotel. Room was clean but fixtures in bathroom were very old & cracked, matresses sagged. Staff were very friendly and helpful even in giving directions. Continental breakfast was adequate.
"CalgaryMacLeod Trail Travellodge Hotel."
the hotel was a lirrle out of the way for our needs but otherwise was satisfactory. The smoking room was a little small. I cannot give a review on the non smoking room as I was not in it, however I did not hear any cimplaints from My brother and his wife. Overall our experience was satisfactory.
smoke free room smelled of industrial air freshener. Pillows stank of smoke. Bathroom fan was so loud it could not be left running to airout room. Front desk staff was very nice.
"Travel Lodge Macleod Trail Calgary"
Has a small pool and jaquizzi which was clean and pretty new. Offers free breakfast between 6 and 7 am. Very close to Walmart, etc. Decent price. I would stay there again.
"Travelodge, McCleod Trail Calgary"
Have stayed here before and made a point of staying here again. may seem faraway from downtown, however, this is good access to this hotel and this was not a problem. Still offers smoking rooms which is a big plus for me adn the people I was travelling with. Breakfast was a nice (unexptected) bonus.
"glad it was close"
a tired buildng in need of some recoupe tlc the only hotel i ever stayed in that didn't have a box of kleenex and only a partial roll of toilet paper...for 4 people... no ice bucket and no ice machine that worked...the place was clean though and the breakfast was readily available and decent it was also very close to the church and reception venue we […] attended for the wedding we went to calgary for...all in all if all ya had to do was sleep and shower not a bad place to be...thankyou tw Continua a leggere
"Travelodge on Macleod Trail in Calgary"
Rates were good, amenities were good, neighbourhood was good but the room could use better cleaning. Although the beds were clean, bathroom was not and there was mold all along the ceiling in the bathroom. Most of it was removable because I cleaned some of it myself.
The receptionists are kind and polite. They are willing to change our rooms once we find problems in them. It's good that the breakfast is included and has eonoug choices in it.
"not very good"
we had an out side door which seemed some one had tried to break into at some point the pool was out side and very warm. the best part of the hotel was the people they were wonderful the staff was very accommodating and very help full with trying to make our stay good and helping us to navigate around the city

our experience was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful and very polite and friendly. The service was good and the rooms comfortable. We would return. Marcel and Linda, Ontario
"A great stay in the South end of Calgary.."
for a low cost hotel, it is in a great location with shops and services in the area, including being across the street from Ranchmans, which was made famous in the movie "Cool Runnings" with John Candy about the Jamaican bobsled team. it is a short drive or commute to the downtown core, so location is decent. The staff were helpful and answered all […] my questions. As the saying goes.... "you get what you pay for"... Here, you get that and a little more. Service with a smile. Continua a leggere
This hotel wasn't the cleanest. There were hairs on the floor in the bathroom and the tub was pretty old and kind of scuzzy looking from it's age. The beds weren't the most comfortable. It's location for our purpose was pretty good. We were just stopping for one night on our trip so it was on a main strip with a lot of restaurants and gas stations etc. […] with easy access back to the main route out of town. Continua a leggere
"Convenient location, but deplorable condition."
Parking space is always taken up by people patronizing the neighbouring bars. Some of the hotel staff are extremely rude. Hotel interior is in desperate need of renovation. Continental breakfast is included, but serving room is about the size of a closet. Remote control for the 20+ year old television was some type of game controller on a cord. No fridge […] or microwave. Continua a leggere
"Travellodge Hotel, calgary"
Great area for entertainment. The Comedy Cave is attached, excellent performances by comediens, Kings Head, to the north, Ranchman's across the street. Was a comfortable stay.
"Stampede weekend"
Hi, we stayed here while in Calgary for the Stampede. There is a nearby Walmart, liquor store, KFC & more so that was great. The rooms are a little older style but were clean and nice enough. The aircond was a little noisy but functional. For the cheap price we paid, we were satisfied. We caught taxis to the Stampede grounds which cost around $20.
"Average at best"
The staff were super friendly however close to two bars and noice level at night was awful until they closed. Staff moved us 2nd night to other side of hotel so we could get some sleep. Continental breakfast was okay and what we expected. Hotel had issues with electronic keys all wknd and patrons and us were having to key keys reprogrammed many times. […] Entry door would not work at back parking lot thus if you had to park there you had to walk around building to gain entry. For price place is not worth it the pool is very small as well. "Calgary Macleod Trail Travelodge Hotel"
I realize this is a 2 star hotel so my expectations weren't that high, but it should still be clean and you should be able to get into your room and the hotel itself without having to get let in by staff or have your card replaced more than once. Room was dirty and cleaning staff didn't even make the bed on one occasion. Towels were not always replaced […] (meaning they took the dirty towels but didn't leave clean towels), nor was toilet paper. And on one occasion when I was locked out they replaced my key card without confirming my name! I could have been anyone saying they were staying in my room. Rates were raised to a ridiculous amount because of the Stampede so we basically paid double what that amount of service was worth. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Continua a leggere

"Calgary Macleod Trail Travelodge Hotel"
Hotel was ok. I would probably stay there again. We were there for the stampede so it was a fun place to be since everyone was there for the same reason. It was a good location, close to everywhere we wanted to go and walking distance to lrt stations. The only problem we had was when we arrived our bathroom had been recently used. There were used wet […] towels hanging over the shower rod, garbage in the garbage can and hair on the floor. Front desk told us someone would come clean it but when maintenance arrived they told us it would be cleaned for us the next morning. We had decent service other then that if you a younger crowd going down to party I would recommend this hotel but I definately wouldn't stay here with my family. Continua a leggere
"To far out of town"
This is yet another hotel that does not live up to the description as given on the website, its in need of a complete refurbish our first room had holes in the walls and was very noisy. The breakfast was a free for all with plastic knives and paper plates and in sufficient seating for the number of guests. This is not a hotel I would recommend and its […] not value for money. The only good thing were the staff who were very helpfull. Continua a leggere

"Travelodge in Calgary"
Pretty good hotel, excellent customer service, nice indoor pool and whirlpool, free breakfast. Always clean halls. The parking lot could use a re-pave though. Definitely would recommend a stay.

"good price!"
Like other reviews said, this hotel is pretty old, but the location is convenience, and price is affordable.

"EconoLodge South Macleod trail"
A real dump. The nicest room in the hotel was the elevator and it was broken one of the days I was there. It would have been well worth it to spend the extra $50 and stay at the Hampton.

"nice and clean"
We were in a room near the elevator and we kept hearing it going on and off. It was somewhat loud but other than that it was all good. Make sure not to get a room near it.
"Very Reasonable for the Price"
The hotel is older, and it needs some additional maintenance here and there. However, I was quite happy with my room since it was clean and quiet. The room was compact, but had everything I needed to be comfortable. Therefore, for the price, I thought everything was very reasonable.
"Easy Access to South Calgary"
Restaurants and coffee shops are in easy walking distance. Access to McLeod Trail is easy, either northbound or southbound. My only complaint is that the busy comedy club in the lobby limits parking for guests on weekend nights.
Heater in room did not work and light in bathroom was extremely dim. Manager unable to assist with either. Hotel full for first night so unable to change rooms until next day. Staff did not offer extra blankets. Front desk personelle rude and impatient. Bad service overall from all staff.
"Travellodge Macleod Trail"
The hotel is in desperate need of renovations, from the exterior to the interior finishes. The hotel just had a very old feel to it and honestley made me feel grimy being in there.

"Calgary Macleod Trail Travelodge Hotel"
Hotel muy normalito. Tan normalito que se dejaron de limpiar y hacer la habitación y de cambiar las toallas. Único argumento el precio, y aún así caro para lo que se ofrece.
